Presentation of MBA Sunshine Hero Award for Radio

The Sunshine Hero Awards (one for television and one for radio) were presented on Saturday, May 1st at Margaritaville Lake Resort in Osage Beach.
The Award recognizes investigative reporting that makes use of the Missouri Open Meetings and Records Law, commonly known as the Sunshine Law. The story must show the efforts the reporter/station used to gather information. The award recognizes those who by using the Sunshine Law to gain access to public meetings and records, work to preserve and improve the law, and encourage greater government transparency. This award is judged by a committee determined by the Missouri Sunshine Coalition.
