- Opposition Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre is ejected from the House of Commons after calling B.C.'s decriminalization project, and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, "whacko." Rob Shaw has more.
It's more tremendously negligent or corrupt to ignore election interference and then make fentanyl legal
About time this insane drug pilot comes to an end! It is an utter FAILURE!!!
I totally agree.
Hey, how's your day going?😊
he's butt hurt over Wacko ??? they should hear what the average Canadian calls him,, Wacko is tame by comparison
How is it compassion to give drugs to addicts who then OD???
Your bang on. How can these people creat inspiring stories and become a hero when we keep them down?
Polliever was right.
Bad decorum aside, decriminalization is not compassionate. We cannot allow the Portlandization of our cities.
Fun Fact: Vancouver has three times the overdose death rate that Portland has
Fun fact: Switzerland has had decriminalization, safe supply and safe consumption for hard drugs since the 90's. In 2022, 160 Swiss died from the use of any drug. In Canada it was 7,328 from opioids alone.
Those "wacko" Swiss amirite?
@@meanwhileonhastings... sad fact. Alberta had 2,000 OD deaths in 2023.
@AsThe3rdEye Do you mean the Four Pillars that was adopted from Portugal's successful drug program? The same program that actually forces drug users to go to rehab if they use in public or commit crimes while high? The same program that provides treatment and encourages users to quit instead of enabling them and providing them drugs funded by the taxpayers instead of these facilities to stay off the drugs? Yeah, I heard of it.
Decriminalization CAN work, but ONLY if it's done right. Canada's approach is nothing like Switzerland or Portugal. BC is focused on providing drugs with no treatment infrastructure whatsoever. No incentive to quit and no consequences for their actions. The same thing happened to Oregon and was a failure, just like BC.
In short...We didn't follow the recipe and are somehow surprised we baked a cake instead of a pie.
Thank God for those Swiss peeps, though. The only thing worse is when some smug, ignorant, know nothing know-it-all, radical lunatic that tells us to follow the science (except when it comes to biology) and starts spewing a bunch of shit from their mouths that they know nothing about while spamming the comments section with, "But Switzerland..."
Those people are the worst. Dare I say... Wacko. Especially that Prime Minister who wore blackface a bunch of times and invited a Nazi to the House of Commons. Total wacko.
@@meanwhileonhastings... i think your government needs more name calling. The 12 year old leaders certainly reflect the populace.
Lieberals will take their time and have spend more Taxpayers money to decriminalize the drug policy in BC. Even former drug addicts find the so called "Safe Drugs" ridiculous, hate it and made things worse.
Treatment and therapy 💯
@@joshmacwhirter8221 The last Conservative leader (the guy they kicked out) pledged 350 million for new rehab beds and centers. What has PP offered?
Trudeau is WACKO!! P.P. For PM!
Wacko words is in the dictionary
Why never ever been ejected ?
Liberals are nuts
Dystopian Trudeau should resign immediately . Give an opportunity to utopian conservative.
Trust me my time in Canada over due soon back my mother land . Over 4 decades I voted for liberal . Before my departure to Sri Lanka love to vote for conservatives
Bye bye
I'm not sure what the word "wacko" being in the dictionary has to do with anything, especial the rules of conduct.
That said, Trudeau is a wacko, a misogynist, a racist, has poor ethics and moral standards and not very bright. But he's ALWAYS been that way. Nothing has changed. The only thing that has changed is that you removed your head from your a$$ to realize this. It's brave of you to admit that you voted for him 3 times but the question is WHY?
Utopian? It's conservatives that tell me utopias are not realistic, are they wrong, or is what makes a utopia subjective?
As a former fentanyl addict who is just over 25 months clean let me tell I very possibly would not have gotten clean if I could get free dope at the time but more importantly the issue with this is that although it was good intentioned most of the actually streetside junkies (as opposed to those of us that worked n were not homeless) have taken this as a greenlight to do whatever they please.
Sadly much like most well intentioned policies as this a minority ruined it for the majority.
Nobody should be going to jail for being a drug addict or possessing drugs - but society at large doesn’t have to accept a cloud a meth smoke being blown in your face, being assaulted by paranoid addicts, and subjecting kids to it on the daily just getting the bus.
Bring back shame to drug addiction. That’s the only thing that got me out of that.
Most effective way to quit smoking is to have easy access to an endless supply of taxpayer funded cigarettes.
Meanwhile trudeau called pierre spineless nothing happened.
and two years ago the NDP leader called the CPC wacko and nothing happened, this spring the Minister of Justice called PP a f'ing tool and nothing happened, speaker claims he didn't hear it and a NDP Minister called the CPC a bunch of a** lickers, a CPC Minister said the word liar and got kicked out not to mention trudeau got up and walked out twice this year....so far
Poilievre is right! Tell the real news.
We need to re criminalize these drugs. Only then will addicts get help.
No, their the victims, you need to come down on the real criminals.
Please!!! Change it!!! We don’t want to be drug addicts!!! We need tougher laws n open more and better rehabilitation Centres!!!! 👀🤷🏿♂️
You realize the last Conservative leader, after giving an actual budget of $325 million for 1,000 drug treatment beds and 50 recovery centers across Canada, who WON the popular vote, got kicked out because "his values didn't align with those of the party"?
And that Pierre is his replacement?
Or were you making a joke?
This was yesterday
Move on...New day. 🙄🛡
Hey, how's your day going?😊
Watch little Bobble Head Freeland. She bobbles her head a dozen times then has to shove her hair back. bobble bobble bobble shove hair back.
She is sickening.
Justin is wacko.
When jt plays with words that way- its not good.
Good job Pierre
takes one to know one
To bad Petie couldn't have an alternative, stead of complaining.
Why were they wearing carnations in the house today? Anybody know?
SEE…
Jordan Peterson with Pierre interview. He is a man with a common sense plan.
🍎🍎🍎
this newscast is so woke
Poilievre has to be careful not to bite the hand that feeds him...
I live in downtown Toronto, where I've seen the growth of a more and more visible culture of public drug use. These people are now frequently seen outside of coffee shops and fast food establishments, city parks, and other public spaces. This is a diverse group, but one that often shares a sense of grievance and victim-hood. Some are native born Canadians, who have fallen on hard times, both economically and emotionally, and blame both the government and immigrants for their problems. Others are immigrants themselves. These are generally not the immigrants who came to work or study. Instead, many of them come from a privileged background in their country of origin. They lack both a work ethic and experience, as they did not need to work at home. They are often the troubled children of those families who could afford to pay the way to get them through the immigration system. These people are often also against immigration policy reform. They feel that they paid for the right to be here and allowing immigrants who didn't pay and can't afford to pay is "unfair", as it would allow in more of precisely those people who threaten their families' power at home. Ironically, what unites both of them is support for politicians like Poilievre. I would estimate that over two-thirds of them would even support a political leader like Trump. They genuinely seek an authoritarian leader, who would breakthrough all the gridlock and take control. One who would "fix" the system by insuring that "only those who _deserve_ it get a better life."
By raising the drug problem, Poilievre is playing with fire. Yes, the politicians' posturing is largely just a symbolic political game. But if enough "apolitical" people in the medical, criminology and social work fields start taking the problem seriously, if they start to receive funding and adopt policies that get at the causes and actually have a chance of making a real positive difference, then this political movement may end up eliminating a key pillar of its own base.
Wacko biased speaker needs to go too
Poilievre is extremely immature and arrogant, not the kind of leader we need.
Wacko is the perfect 👍 word for a wacho 😂😂
I think they should allow swearing, would make the circus show more fun to watch 😄
😂
Time for provinces to just ignore Trudy’s asinine legislations and just pass their own laws and ignore the feds.
Agree trudeau fora
I do not like Pierre, I do not like him here or there. I do not like him anywhere. I will not vote for him, So if you please stop shoving him down our throats.
Vote Trump 2024.
Increase the consequences rather than taking them away. I dont care about a single drug addicts who ruined their lives i care for the kids who will become drug addicts due to these disgusting policies.
Poilievre is sounding more and more like Donald Trump with the name calling and constant bashing. As far as I'm concerned he's the wacko
Hey, how's your day going?😊
If you're going to report new please do it accurately. Tuesday called Pierre a spineless leader and got no reprimand for it but Pierre gets tossed for calling him wacko. The only thing that needs to be On trial here is that Fergus is a biased, liberal speaker and protected PM Wacko. Fergus needs apologise at very least if not step down from his position
Poilievre doesn't care about harm reduction, he's just Rage farming at the expensive of our homeless population.
Sure, you tell yourself that.
*expense
Let's assume he doesn't care. Was he wrong in what he said? It doesn't matter to me whether our leader cares about us or not, so long as his actions result in a better country. In other words, so long as he does his job.
You sound like a Liberal. All feelings and no common sense.
@@abrahamthebewildered1448 He's virtual signalling, he's a hypocrite without a plan, you must be a conservative who has no idea about harm reduction, he wouldnt even be talking about the issue if there wasnt an election.
@@abrahamthebewildered1448 PP was wrong. The BC safe supply program is in part based on the Swiss safe supply program that has been running since the 90's and is overwhelmingly successful. I recommend your start by Googling "Swiss Four Pillars"
Yes, Pierre is rage farming and finds a fertile crop.
Canadas first black prime minister certainly doesn't need to be called a racist.
Turdeau is a wacko. Guy is delusional
Pollivre is 100% in the right.
It obviously isn’t helping, just making it worse. Drugs needs to be criminalized. The biased speaker needs to resign.
I love Trudeau and the Liberals...I'm voting for them in 2025.
Even when they brought a nazi into the house of commons?
Give your head a shake.
Hey, how's your day going?😊
Pierre is the future Pm by Far!! Way to stand up to this Liberal Joke
Name one Pierre -policy- *plan*.
Furthermore, is it at all amusing that Canadian carbon cap and trade was campaigned on by Stephen Harper with Pierre Poilievre in his cabinet in 2008, and was a part of the Conservative platform as recently as the 2021 election? Axe the Tax?
At this rate we'll evolve into Morlocks before we fix anything. At the root of the problem is our commodified survival...it leads to mass amounts of childhood trauma associated with addictions. There are infinite ways of approaching this problem, one way could be to create a simulator/video game for kids and adults to create solutions from a place where they feel safe and loved, getting paid a living wage to ensure a basic standard of living, all while achieving self actualization in the process. We could develop better life saving technologies sooner, control the weather sooner...it would be like a short cut up the Kardashev Scale.
We did not have this drug problem like we do today, when I was a kid. We had programs, we had rehab centers and we did not have the federal government enabling a drug problem!
You do not give an addict drugs and think it will sort itself out. This is next level stupidity.
Ban Narcan!
@@jimdevlin4949 I suffered trauma in my childhood like so many others but I never got hooked on hard drugs or alcohol. Some people are super weak and then get others to pick up their weight, and then the government builds inclusive communities that are like sharing space with the cartoon character Pig Pen. I can see why banning narcan seems logical.
Wacko wacko wacko!
I hope Trudeau loves you and that word because he is going to hear a lot of it the next year or so
