Good video, thanks. Looks fairly easy to do. Good to see the mandatory dropping of things unexpectedly, 😂. A shame they didn't come fitted with spin on filters though. Oil reset will come in handy 👍
Great video - thanks. Just two questions - what is the torque setting for the sump plug? Also I noticed you used 5-40, but my operating manual says 5-30 - does it make any major difference which? Cheers. And thanks again.
@@TheEddysGarage Cheers for that! I have another question you might be able to help with... my service book says lubricating steering knuckle linkages and ball joints etc should be carried out every 20,000km.... but there aren't any grease fittings to put a grease gun on. Do you do any regular lubrication maintenance on the suspension/steering systems? The boots all feel pretty empty and dry...
Hi, thanks for the video! Saved me a lot of money. I just wonder why after removing the oil filter there’s still oil in the housing left which won‘t flush down. I had then to suck it out using a syringe… is that normal? Greetings from Switzerland!

Как же чисто у тебя в моторном отсеке, какая красота.
Респект👌
Great vid thank you, someone who actually got the reset oil right.
Saved me a small fortune

You are the only one that I’ve found that I could find the oil filter in Australia 45 yr old mum cross fingers I’ve done it right 🫣😅

@@TheEddysGaragejust trying to still reset. Was it the accelerate pedal or brake you press 3 times? Tried both but no luck😢
@@coolcucumber2780 throttle pedal
Thanks I had to have it do it ten times before it worked 😅
On my 2014, I had put the car in run position (engine off) and press the gas pedal 3 times. That's the only way to reset mine
Thank you very much for sharing this information now I might be able to do it myself Thank you so much 😊 😀
If I can do it, you can do it. Just Make sure you have a big enough pan to catch all the oil.

I just do it snug but a quick google says 25 ft lb. It’s hot here and a little thicker oil is fine. Plus it was on sale 😅

Yes that is normal. I noticed that it will drain down but takes about an hour or more
@@TheEddysGarage Good to know! Thank you for your quick response and help!
Hi I have the same model always worry about the right oil quantity because on manual is less, so 9 liters is confirmed right?
I added just under the listed volume then top it up slowly after letting it run for a few minutes and measuring all the time
Hey mate, i have tried it and still wont reset my oil life. Do you have any other recommendations?
It did take me a few tries when I did it on a following oil change.
Mee too. Like six tries
Hey mate u based on Australia right.Have you been using enviro + 5w-40 for how long? Bit tappy on early mornings here in nz.14' JGC.
Using it for a few years but the Gold Coast doesn’t get cold. Did you try Switching to something thinner in winter?
I have an allen key screw is that normal
Might depend on what year it is
Steering wheel is on the right side? Where are you from?

How much is your mpg?
When I drive I get 9.5L/100km, when my wife has it it is 12L/100km 😂
@@TheEddysGarage I get 10.5L/100Km in average and I rarely went over 100km on highway. How fast did you drive to get that mpg?
@@Vziera just highway cruising (110) and coasting around town. if you want economy don't get a massive car 😅

What kind of oil do u use 5w30 or 5w40?
Got to be 5w40
8.4 L ??? That is too much oil change with filter as manual 7.5 L
@@cosminceciu5433 The MY 14 changed to 7.7 litres previously 2011-2013 same engine was 8.4 litres
