What an honor & glory to our Lord that you are using the gift He's given you with your incredible singing voice/musical talent to bring these ol' precious hymns back to life! Appreciate your burden to sing the hymns! Btw-heard about you from Nathan Hayward and the refreshing song you both collaborated.
Thanks so much Karen, it's certainly a privilege to be able to make music that hopefully glorifies the Lord and helps to build up the body of Christ. I've been thoroughly blessed by working with Nathan on that track, He's done a wonderful job on it, and I was so encouraged. So glad the music is a blessing Karen. - Hadyn
I apologize for saying, "ol' ...hymns" not realizing ,until I looked it up, that to my surprise this song was written only a couple decades ago! The author's explanation about writing lyrics was very thoughtful & enlightening! Because these lyrics are very weighty with Biblical truths like the "older" hymns of the past century, my prejudice surfaced thinking only the really "older" hymns have the substance of truth that give edification for building and this song hit the mark! Btw- we, the "older" generation, appreciate seeing a line of the younger generation consecrating their lives to live for His purpose and for His house as seen in Ps. 110:3.
@@karenofsthun6726Haha no need to apologize, I thought the same thing when I first heard this track! Prejudice or not, there certainly are fewer songs with the same weight and depth sung these days, not that all necessarily need to have the same depth provided they still speak the truth. But I do think there is a need for more Christian music with a deeper foundation in the word. And I'm sure you'd agree that when we go back 100 or 200 years, we don't have to look hard to find songs with incredible depth.
Beautiful Beautiful!
