You should have a look at some giant African land snails, theyre very pretty. I might be a tad biased tho as i grew up with one as a pet :'D

When I draw something for a Long time my hand gets some led on it and my drawing is smudged

I doubt you would see this, but I really like this little guy, I think his whole idea is really cool and when you mentioned how you could maybe make an intro using these programs gave me the idea of this lil guy creating paint brushes and canvases and stuff, the creating the lil room around him to paint.
You are so thoughtful with your art. I like hearing your thought process. It helps me be more thoughtful and challenges me in my own art projects.

I hated After Effects when I first used it studying Graphic Design at uni, now I really wish I had more time to use it lol

Thank you! The colours were a struggle but I decided on something good in the end I think!
I really want to study Graphic Design at uni. How was your experience with it?
stressful lol depending on your uni/college it is a lot of work that needs to be done in a short amount of time (1-3 briefs that needs to be finished every 2 weeks roughly for us). you do learn a lot about design principals and different digital programs, which ones to use for the job needed etc. if you really want to do Graphic Design, do some research into current design trends and old design trends, you will probably need that info for some projects and it will help you figure out what styles you like and can work with. look into fonts, cant stress that enough, very important to know what style of fonts can go with what theme/design/colours. look into basic printing, RGB, CMYK etc. and find some design briefs to practice with. that will give you an idea what they require and if you really want to do Graphic Design (I should have done illustration lol)

I'm doing an art program online, and I totally agree with what you said about school forcing you to do stuff you never would have before. It's daunting, but I'm also thankful for the push to create stuff outside of my comfort zone!

I notice a few things signifying the fixed mindset. And girl don’t worry too much about getting what you want to be perfect. If you worry to much you might end up feeling like something is not enough.
these are lovely!! i wish i could balance my time half as well as you-I can relate when you say you were better at time management in high school. It's definitely a lot more difficult in college, especially when you have to manage a youtube channel, but you seem like you're on top of it!

Now watching from another's perspective of Art school I think I plan on actually attending to one in New Mexico after HS. I've watch so many vids about am art school and all I hear is they lied, or it's too hard or just straight up complaining. This video has changed my mind really and I've actually enjoyed your explanation what it's like to attend one. I also agree that we need something to push us to do something that involves our favorite activity. Definitely Subscribing.

I really liked seeing your homework and process even though I don't plan on art school! I have the same goal time management! I want to get a few weeks ahead before the end of the year if possible for the new year so I hit the ground running.. and hopefully stay ahead like you said. Animation seems hard but I would like to learn.

You make so much stuff that looks way more fun than what I am trying to do in graphic design school...First year and so far we only use fonts, black and white and one time made an illustration for recycling but it was really small.
I CANNOT THANK U ENOUGH I'm a very young artist and I've been told that I'm advanced for my age... ahem humble flex *dabs* and it's been looking for something like cinema 4d. I tried blender but that's WAAAAY too complicated I cant even do variables on my own yet. U just accidentally solved one of my biggest problems ever! THANK YOU !😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄
I highly suggest affinity designer or affinity photo, it’s basically illustrator or photoshop without all the fancy tools for I one time fee of $50, and it’s usually one sale during special holidays and events. I replaced it with my adobe subscription and I can barely tell the difference and all of my adobe files transferred with no problems
I love this kind of videos so much! I wasn't able to do art in uni because I felt like pressured to do another thing (that I dropped) but now I'm studying animation and next year I'll start in an art school for illustration (I call it art school but isn't uni). Your art is amazing, calm and inspiring at the same time. Loved the watercolor portrait!!

I'm afraid, I might be starting Illustration in art school in May and I've only ever drawn on my phone or traditionally, it's a scary thing to learn something new. Any tips for me?
The point of art school is to help you learn from the basics, so don't worry too much about not knowing everything or getting into something that's out of your comfort zone! Your professors, hopefully will be decent people, will be there to help you and the more you do the more you'll get the hang of it :) learn to manage your time and projects well, first and foremost, and always practice what you learn, especially concepts that are hard to understand. Good luck!
hey, good luck my dude !! i'm only in middle school at the moment, but i want to do illustration in university as well (again, might change, but something along those lines, y'know?). i can't give you any advice, but i'm sure you'll do great things :D

Practice drawing humans and potraits in your spare time and try to manage your time cause time is everything when your rushing for your assignments or projects.

It would be graag to have some vlogstyle video's where you share your process of an assignment. It might also help your timemanagement (I feel you ) It's been 25 years for me einde art school and I went for theatredesign instead of illustration. I'd love to do an assignment vicarously through you if that's is something you would enjoy doing and sharing. Have a Nice xmas and newyears!

Would you ever sell a print of the snails layout that you made cause it’s super cute and I would buy one right now. I love snails and I’m planning on getting some as pets cause they make overly happy for some reason 😆
You could get a small aquarium with some plants and put a bunch of snails in it! They usually hitchhike on aquarium plants so you'd get lots of free snails haha.
@@JelArts yeah thats what I was planning on doing XD I live near a little forest and theres always a ton of different snails. They also visit my bavkyard from time to time. ^^
So how long (on average) do you have to complete your projects for school? Also how do finals work for art students?
Hm it's usually 2 weeks on average for each class! But there's 5-7 classes a week depending on what program you're in. There's usually no tests or finals, just bigger projects near the end.
What watercolor brush are you using
What paint did you use? It’s like water color but more… put together
That sounds like gouache, it's one of my favourite mediums. It re-activates with water, can be applied thick, or diluted. Very versitile! It even comes in an acrylic version which doesn't reactivate with water when it dries. I prefer the regular version but lots of artists also like the acrylic gouache.

Do you have an iPad because the new Procreate update has an animation feature now with onion skin layers so you can see previous layers as you go!
I do have it but I haven't figured out the onion skin layers yet! Definitely cool though.
