I played with flint stones like that when I was little. But it was much cooler than what the short video shows -- flint stones were/are cheap. We bought quite a lot of flint stones, put one into the head of a burning cigarette every time. I took a few puffs until the flint stone was red hot, and then flicked the stone with my finger. The flint stone would fly out of the cigarette head and produce a lot of sparks on the way. It was beautiful, and much simpler. Oh, I don't smoke now.

Or you can use the flint in a zippo, they fit pretty decent. the bic lighters always have lots of flint left when the fluid runs out.

Get it warm. Gases expand with warmth. Always works for 2 seconds, enough to light a smoke
