In fairness to Wheeler on that hooking penalty, he was put on an island after a bad pass by Mika. Mikkola read the bad centering pass and that hooking probably avoided a game-winning goal right there on Barkov's breakaway. It was a badly timed penalty (only a minute into the OT), but I feel it was a valid one to take there to avoid Florida's captain on a breakaway at point-blank, regardless of how good Shesterkin was.
