Cognitive restructuring is an easy way to reframe narratives in which we spin our minds about traumatic events. If we re-interpret what happens to us with a new lens and perspective, it allows us to change our thoughts that are directly linked to our emotions, and then we can slide up and down that emotional scale to feel better.
