One of the greatest musicians to live, taken way too early.
RIP Cliff Burton
When the bass guitar was introduced to the planet the metal gods said "Let there be Cliff Burton"
Lol.... yes 👍
Absofuckinlutely 🤘🐺
😎👍💯❤️
WEll said!!!
And you know this!
“Is that it?”
Nah, not really - they were about to launch straight into “Whiplash”.
You can probably find that video somewhere on RUclips.
Cliff was such an outstanding bassist. I was heartbroken when I heard about his death. Still tear up to this day when I think about it. RIP
Man, they were so young in this, barely 20!
@@ghost500e I'm the same age as them. When "Kill 'Em All" dropped, I was like, "Wow, these dudes are my age and they're already shredding it!"
He was 26 I Believe
I had the enormous pleasure of seeing Cliff play this live...just a few short days before we lost him. RIP Cliff. 'Bang that head that doesn't bang' Thanks for this great reaction.
R.i.p. Cliff Burton.💯 And a happy birthday to you, Mike🤘🇺🇸🇩🇰🤘
Happy Birthday!!! Cliff!!!!!!!
Thanks so so much and thanks for watching 👀... sorry so late response... peace ✌

For whom the bells tolls - Day on the green - Cliff em All
His father introduced him to Classical Music and he took piano lessons early on.
Imagine the music cliff Burton would have written if his life wasn't cut short. What a fucking legend rip cliff
Cliff could make a bass do things you wouldn't think possible. Prime example, when Hetfield and Ulrich first heard this, before Burton joined Metallica, they thought it was a regular 6 string electric guitar played.
Cliff used a guitar pickup in his bass to get that dirty sound. Cliff is my favorite Bassist of all time!!
My mom was there in Chicago in 83 when she was 23 she had a blast when she Saw them live she was torn up by cliffs passing rock on mom love you 🤟
cliff s father set up a foundation using all of his royalties to purchase instruments for young musicians
Aaaaaah, Anesthesia. One of the songs that encouraged me to pick up bass.
You might want to listen to the studio version (reaction or not), to see how much this live version is kicking much more ass :D.
Also, I recommend you check out Morten Muller's cover of it. He actually did his cover in the style of Meshuggah, and it's awsmesome.
Best bass performance Ever if you ask me, absolutely fire. Amazing
The bass master. Taken too early. We miss you Cliff!!!
Legend has it that Cliff Burton could crack walnuts without tools.
Gotta give James a pass on the intro, ran the numbers and that's 10 days after his 20'th birthday :)
and he was drunk.lol
I remember wanting to go to this show. I was living in WI, 12 years old at the time, and my mom & dad would not let me go to the show with my friends. I had to wait a couple years and see them in Green Bay when I was 14.
Cliff Burton is considered one of the best bassist of all time. And he was only in his mid 20s when he died. Reall makes us wonder what he could've accomplished if he hadn't.
Finally...leave it to the bass man to play this ...LOVE...👍👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯💯
Happy birthday & thank you, God bless you & Cliff!
best all time bass guitar solo i have ever heard
React For Whom The Bell Tolls live Day on Green [Cliff’em all] please
Cliff is an amazing bassist, he’s regarded as one of the Top bassists ! R.I.P Cliff.
Rest in Peace Cliff. You have to react to For Whom the Bell Tolls from Cliff 'Em All. It has an amazing bass intro.
they were about to launch "whiplash" after that.. I recommend that you should watch it
Best bass player ever rip cliff
Love people's reactions to this, pure musicianship!
GOAT of bass guitar

My favorite artist of all time, for both the person and the artist that he was, this video is probably my favorite Metallica video as well, they're so young and having such a blast, it's awesome!
That blows your mind!
DEATH GRIPS
they are amazing, you gotta check em out.
- big fan
Happy Birthday Mr. Mike Cross! This channel quickly became one of my favorites to watch. As a bass player I respect how you cross genres and appreciate musicality when merited. Props brother.
Happy belated birthday! Enjoy the Mac Pro~ #treatyourself
Cccclllliiiiffff , man I wish we could've heard more from him. Metallica always has great bass players especially cliff when your a musician that's working in a band situations you learn how hard it is to find strong bass players there almost like unicorns there crucial to a band a guy like cliff could've influenced so many people to hop on the bass and aspire to be awesome just like say dime
Cliff Burton, The Legend, The Master.
Huge thanks
Those electroharmonix big muff and Morley power wah pedals ❤
And that Ibanez Tube Screamer.
Those 3 pedals made the best sound in the '80s
In 1987 I was 13 & saw these Cliff video's. Got a bass the very next Christmas. Tho I'm no longer a bassist I have never stopped being a musician. Thank you Cliff!!
Cliff Burton.....the One True Golden God.
The f'n Jimi Hendrix of bass!!!!
Ty for reacting to a great bassist. I'm grateful for the fact you took the time to listen to him. Rip cliff. You're missed.
Great reaction Mike!!
Thanks Em... and thanks for all your help 🙏
Thanks Mike. Favorited this one. I've never seen this particular video. Cliff was simply outstanding and had his best work ahead of him when he passed. So sad. His solo will live on though. I've learned this one (mostly) and I can tell you,...generates comments like 'Impressive' . The tapped harmonics part is tough but worthwhile to learn.
Listen to the album version. It's incredible.
Best reaction ever !!!!
Happy birthday Producer.
Cliff didn’t die he went to teach bass in heaven
GREAT REACTION MIKE CROSS STAY ON YA GRIND BRO, KEEP BRINGING US THAT GREAT CONTENT.

Ahhhh, I want to see you play that. It would be so cool. :)
So effortless the way he plays
Cliff used distornion, substain & mosa boogie petals for his sound
No one else comes close
Beautiful homage to Cliff Burton. Thank you bro
He was about 19 or 20 in this video
Ha🍻y Birthday Man 🎉

Long live the king!
Happy belated Birthday my brother in music
Thanks so so much and thanks for watching 👀 peace ✌ 🙏
Happy Birthday Brother.
R.I.P Cliff Burton
They were all like 19 years old. 🤘
RIP Clif
Back then it was Cliff Lee Burton featuring Metallica as a supporting band... 😎
Man as you are a Music Producer.. You should check out Steven Wilson's Ancestral live video that came out last week.. Just love his sound.. amazing!!!!
If you look closely you can see the pieces of glass cliff has taped to his finger tips for sliding.
John Myung of Dream Theater is one of the best. Please check that guy out my friend!!!!
You should look up his Bass, he had a Seymour Duncan guitar pickup in his bass he used for that video!!
he was 19 or 20 here.. I can only imagine what would happen if he was older.
Cliff is the definition of carrying the team 😢
The Legend of Bass.! Metallica would have been too much for people in the world if Cliff Burton was still alive.
Cliff was such a massive part of the creative process in Metallica, just listen to the first 3 albums and compare them to any body of work after the first 3! Cliff and his classical training are gone from the mix, no more dual guitar harmonies ect ect. Cliff is the GOAT of the Bass imo.
@Sen Vanmassenhove Look how many of the songs Cliff was given credit for on AJFA. That was the last little piece of Cliff we were given. Cliff was, Metallica. I don't buy the bus accident either. I think they used him as a blood sacrifice. Watch the movie "American Satan", then go research the so called bus accident that killed Cliff, you will see what I mean. Does the bus look like it just rolled multiple times? There was minimal damage to the exterior of the bus. I know it sounds crazy, but with the world being exposed like it is atm to be ran by satanic freaks, is it really that far fetched. Keep an open mind and deep dive Cliff's "Death".
@Sen Vanmassenhove and look how shit it was mixed...
looks like rob trujillo reacting on cliff burton
Check out Billy Sheehan bass solo while in Talas from 1984..
Cliff!!!!!!!
How good can a bass player be to have a full song on a album, Ciff Burton good
I will forever hate the cameraman who directed the camera away from Cliff during this performance. dude is going absolutely nuts in the background but all you can see is James and Kirk chugging along
You must react to Orion!!!
Agreed the bass solo is amazing and the song is just a masterpiece altogether
He's the Hendrix of Bass. End of story
That is a bass with guitar pick ups Cliff retired it when the electrics fried.
Metallica - Halo on Fire
thats why we remeber CLIFF
Shout out the my main man CLIFF F'N BURTON!!!!!!!!!!
R.I.P. Cliff Burton.
You never seen anyone play bass like this before
Cliff fucking Burton is a God
You either appreciate Pulling Teeth, or you're wrong
Cliff
A heavily modified Rickenbacher 4001.
Check out the pinkie!
Not even I can do that
You didn't need a bass intro, Cliff Burton basically just replaced you with that!! 🙂😉
My favorite part is when he kills one of the cameras
Metallica 1985 day on the green you should see dude +1
Yeah when that song leads into Whiplash!
Where them RIP comments!
