Agreed.... People seem reluctant to make any physical effort to do anything these days.... staying relatively "walking fit" pays huge dividends when you get older..... hopefully I'll still be able to walk 12 miles in my 70s...like my Father. All the best 👍
That looks like a metal bottle from Ikea, which, if I remember correctly, is rated by Ikea only up to 40°C and that would mean you cannot use it to boil water. I wonder is it only because of the plastic cap or the metal is coated with something...
Boiling water kills all pathogens in the water but does nothing to chemical contamination in that water. Fill that bottle with clean water when you leave home you can survive 3 days without water 24 hours without water is still better than chemically contaminated water I think.

It's the plastic. Steel is just steel and take heat just fine, even if made in China by IKEA.😀😁
