Great channel, do you have any advice on a "Airbag(s) or seat belt(s) pretensioner fault" alert on Citroen C3 Aircross 2 (2017). We have had this ~10 times on the road, but no ODB code is retained!
Hi. Could you explain what’s the function of the plug? I bought a seatbelt of the same model but different year and it doesn’t fit. What issues could I encounter?
The plug is the electrical connection to the airbag control module. When the vehicle is in an accident, it sends a signal to pretension seat belts to activate. Original seat belts can be repaired at myairbags.com
Can you make a video in how to remove the airbag light in a Toyota Highlander Hybrid (2021)? Of course after taking care of the problem. My case was about replacing airbag and producing Open in D Squib (Dual Stage - 2nd Step) Circuit B1811.
For Toyota vehicles it is easy, if the vehicle was not in an accident and the airbag control module is good, then as soon as you fix the code that you are getting, in your case is seat belt pretensioner code, the airbag light will turn off next time you start your vehicle or turn ignition on.
So if your vehicle was not in an accident and the light came on one day and you get tge system scanned to see what the DTC codes are and for example its a bad seat belt or connection problem. After you fix that problem, the light will turn off without doing anything additional. This works like that with most Toyota, Ford, Chevy, Buick, Cadillac and GMC vehicles.
My car was in an accident, I believe we fixed the issues, question, we always need to replace the module? And second, if the answer is yes, why the Toyota dealer didn’t find the problem with the module? Thanks
Yes when vehicle is in an accident it will have crash history, also known as crash data. The airbag control module needs to be replaced or crash history needs to be reset to use the same airbag control module. For Toyota vehicles it is a little tricky because not always it will show crash codes. For these vehicles, you will have NO fault codes for srs airbag, but the airbag light will still be on. That is how you will know the airbag module has crash codes. For other vehicles like GM, Ford, BMW you will actually have a DTC code that says crash history data is full. For rebuilders that deal with Toyota, and after you do a few rebuilds you will quickly figure this out that if your vehicle was in an accident and you have no codes and light still stays on, then the airbag control module needs to be reset.
@@MyAirbags thanks, I just wonder why the Toyota dealer was not able to detect the module issue. Are you sure that the problem is not a pretensioner sensor?
Thanks for taking the time to show this. It was exactly what I was looking for 👍

Can you do a 2020 Malibu
Yes, we can do Chevy Malibu 2020 plugs. Also, the airbag control module and seat belt pretensioners.
@@MyAirbags I have been looking for a video of how to remove that plastic part so I can put a new 1 to connect to the wire

Ok! If you didn't watch this movie and need to buy the one marked American and European cars - where can you buy the connector?

Where’s position?
That is in the seat belt itself on front passenger side
For proper repair, OEM parts need to be used. See this video to know if the seat belt was repaired correctly: ruclips.net/video/7skCTGv_gNM/видео.html
None of these match the ones on my Ford.
What is the year and model of your Ford?
why did you delete my comment
No comment deleted. Maybe different video? What question do you have?
