After the chick(E24) hatched at 16:01:35 today🐣, M15 came back at 16:44 to see E24 for the first time and brooding. The video shows the gradual changes of the chick today. At dusk, F23 feeds M15 when he is brooding. They are a very sweet couple.💞

The 2024-2025 season is the 13th season for the Southwest Florida Eagle Cam and second season for M15 & F23 as a mated pair.

Parents:
Male : M15 (since the fall of 2015)
Female : F23 (since Summer 2023)
This is the second season with M15 & new mate F23. F23 was first documented in the area Summer 2023 before officially bonding with M in October 2023. They successfully raised and fledged their first offspring, E23, in the Spring of 2024.
The original adult bald eagle pair, known as Ozzie and Harriet, had been coming to this nest since 2006. After Ozzie’s passing in the early fall of 2015, Harriet & M15 bonded in late fall of 2015. After eighth seasons as a mated pair, Harriet never returned to the nest in Feb. 2023 and M successfully raised their young E21 & E22 to fledge.
