Severely injured Elephant begging for life in a forest | Lifesaving mission

- This elephant was found critically injured in the forest and was unable to stand. The poor giant has been starving for a long period as he was unable to move in search of food due to severe injury in the feet. The elephant is emaciated and it looked like a skeleton just covered with skin. Heart melted wild life officers quickly leapt in to action.
Before starting the treatment, the animal should be boosted up to regain energy to the body. Therefore, first they gave saline to the animal. Then washed the wound with water and cleaned it with antiseptic liquids. Flies were moving around the wound. After cleaning they packed povidone iodine ointment on the wound. Then they injected antibiotic to the elephant to aid a speedy recovery and boost the immunity.
Few hours later the elephant regained its consciousness after the saline treatment. Then the wildlife officers together with the nearby villagers strived to make the animal stand .But it was a difficult task. They had to end the mission for that day as it was getting darker in the evening. The elephant will recover soon and will walk in to the jungle by his own foot.
Happy to say, She is recovered after continuous treatment.

Thnks to the men fr their kindness to animals. But fr the viewers there shd be a way of number tagging the animals during nd after treatment . We should know how they r doing ...or just become sources of food to lions nd hynenas dogs. In absence of no tagging, all elephants look all alike on videos.

So happy that the elephant recovered and walked on all four legs again. It's amazing how far and long starving of food and drink keeps an animal alive. The pain during the cleaning of the wound was severe enough to make the elephant restless, in an attempt to move and even stand up, just to be away from it, and the people causing it.
These animals are intelligent and wise, and with their great memory, this beast will remember his recovery forever.

@@janetgiddings5538 there are some serious genuine people working with elephants as in world famous Leo Chalet in Thailand, as well as Dr Jane Goodall request for help for starving elephants during the CVD19 Pandemic. Not forgetting elephant Kaavan who was recently helped by Cher & 4 PAWS. But I sure do have my questions about this You Tube posts as to its genuinely. The answers are too pat, the set up too questionable. Check it out & do your homework before living in lala land.

This is remarkable. Thank you for your healing work and saving this precious soul. I hope that at some point the humans gave this elephant a hug, stroked it and let it know that it was going to be ok. You can see the fear in the elephant's eyes towards the beginning of the video. The moving of the elephant's trunk and the contractions of the tip of the trunk brought tears to my eyes as if the elephant was trying to communicate. God Bless these people for doing such a wonderful service to this precious elephant.

I think that's what they were trying to do but this poor elephant wouldn't have enough energy or be able to stand on a leg like that for a while so hope they stuck it out somehow! Don't know how long it lasted out there laying down like that in the wild to begin with so they must have had it in a cordon dot area or something

Another elephant being treated by these amazingly brave and caring men. I can’t thank each of you enough for your efforts. This poor creature is suffering so badly, is so emaciated. I think all of you know when an elephant is too far gone and would ease his departure to his life in eternity. But seeing you put in such effort shows you believe she has a chance to survive, to have a quality of life. Thank you. BE SAFE.
