The Riddle Of The Angel Of Death: The Mystery of Exodus 4:24-26
In the biblical passage of Exodus 4: 24-26, there is an intriguing moment when God seems to want to "kill" Moses. Let's analyze this passage carefully.
First, it is important to understand the context. Moses had been called by God to lead the Israelites out of Egypt, to deliver the people of Israel from slavery. At this point in history, Moses had already met God in the burning bush and was returning to Egypt with his wife and children to fulfill this mission.
On the way back to Egypt, something unique happens. In verse twenty-four, we read: "and it came to pass, on their way, in the place where they alighted to spend the night, that the Lord met him, and sought to kill him."This is quite surprising, especially considering that God had called Moses on such an important mission.
