I got mine from eBay.
I have tried with the Amazon eithernet adapter a number of times and it does not work? I have to turn WiFi on to get the box to work?????
I am not sure why this isn’t working for you mine seems to work without any configuration.
I have 2 of the amazon adapters and tried both today and nothing. They didn't work.

What ethernet speed have you measured?
I only get 25mpbs as a top speed on my internet connection, we are still using old aluminium telephone lines where I live, I did get the full 25mpbs on ethernet.
How did you eventually install BBC iplayer ?
Install Downloader and go to 21203 and download and install that version, please be aware this only works if you are in the UK and have a TV Licence!
I guess these not available in Canada….. don’t know why my notification setting is always turning off 😞 trying to turn on keeps saying error 🤔
I think only the US, but I am in the UK and they are not available here but I still managed to get one from good old eBay!
How but storage? How do we extend the storage in same time with connecting internet cable?
You need a otg cable with an Ethernet and USB sockets.
You also will need to go into the developer options and enable USB debugging.I have a 32gb thumb drive on mine. & the less expensive USB 2.0 ones works just fine.
