"Roll On Down the Highway" and "Takin' Care of Business" are two other killer BTO songs that _lit up_ the radio in the 70s.
Fred Turner's smoking vocals, the driving bass and Randy Bachman's guitar licks. Such a great arrangement too. Can you imagine hearing this as a teenager? Blew me away. Thanks bros and am so glad you liked it! 💯✌️
I can imagine. I was a teenager when this song came out. We were lucky kids, weren't we?!
I was 19 when this song hit the charts Feb. 23, 1974 and peaked at #23 two months later. I remember being surprised it wasn't a bigger hit. There were no songs that BTO did that I didn't like.
My favorite rock singer of all time. And a most underrated bassist ruclips.net/video/SqRDTZwhNAs/видео.html&ab_channel=JeffTweeter
Randy Bachman is a very talented individual, great songwriter and arranger, sounds great to this day , I think except for turner the rest are dead ,and turner retired from touring unfortunately, BTO is touring as we speak
Man it was fun being a teen in the 70s. You guys are great reactors.
I’m 🇨🇦 and I appreciate you playing these songs. You guys are fun. Thx ☺️
RIP BTO drummer Robbie Bachman❤
Bro's you will LOVE their "Taking Care Of Business"!!!! Banger including some tasty piano!
Oh yeah!! May have to work a little overtime for that one. 😉
Another great Canadian band!
I like this band and this song is very enjoyable, I hadn't heard it for a long time. I really enjoyed your reaction to You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet (1974), one of my favourite songs by this band.Others include Takin' Care of Business and Stayed Awake All Night. Thanks so much for your reaction guys, always good and always interesting. Take care and all the best.
This was an awesome song by Bachman-Turner Overdrive. They have a couple of other songs that have a real drivin' beat to them, "Let It Roll Down The Highway" and "Takin' Care Of Business" , really, you can't go wrong with either of them. Thanks for this reaction video!
Classic 70's sound. The drums really drove the song for me. I agree completely about the ending. Interesting discussion and great reaction guys..Thank you!!!
When Released This Classic Would Become An Instant Rock Anthem,,
Billy Thorpe "Children Of The Sun"
R.I.P. Billy 🙏 ❤
Absolute fire song. Great structure with guitar driven tempo and gritty vocals, thumping bass and drums. Doesn't get much better than this.
Randy Bachman was part of The Guess Who & then went on to have a solo career with BTO. Both were great Canadian rock bands. BTO had a lot of great songs in the 70's such as "Let It Ride", "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet", "Takin' Care Of Business", "Hey You", "Roll On Down The Highway", "Lookin' Out For #1" etc.
Earned my first speeding ticket to this song! 🤘🏻
Next from this great band please; "Roll on Down the Highway" with the long guitar solo for Patrick and "Taking Care of Business" with the fabulous keyboard work for George. Great reaction as always guys !!! ✌💖🌻🐝😷🎨🎶
Ahhh.... That VOICE that Growl that Scream..... Does me in every time. I agree guys - fantastic stereo on headphones!
(Blue Collar for melting my butter)
Other Canadian songs you should try are Loverboy's "Everybody's working for the weekend" and the Stampeders' "Sweet City Woman".
Great bands and great songs grew on trees from 1968-1975
Hey guys, been binge watching your reactions.
Here’s a little known Zeppelin tune that was almost not released..It’s called “hey, hey what can I do”. Y’all should check it out
Another GREAT cut is "Not Fragile". Just make sure you have on your best 'bass response' headphones. ;-)
Wicked tune!
The pronouncement of " Bachman" just makes me love these guys even more!... They are Classic Dudes! I need to have a beer with these 2 dudes!
Epic song! Memories of 21 year old me ... Thanks!..this song is smokin' do all their songs!!!! Love your reactions.
Blue collar is awesome too
"Welcome Home", Blue Collar", "Not Fragile", "Stayed Awake All Night", "Rock Is My Life, And This Is My Song", "Don't Get Yourself In Trouble", "Lookin Out For #1, are a small number of great songs by "Bachman-Turner Overdrive".
Blue Collar is a favourite of all time, specialy a live version when they were older. Killer stuff
@@aaronstandingbear Yeah, "Blue Collar" Is Amazing, I don't think anyone on youtube has ever done a review....It's too bad!
It's a GREAT RIDE🤘
Thanks so much for this reaction, guys! It’s always been my favorite BTO song since it came out (when I was in 11th grade in high school!!😳) I still have the 45 record to this day, and it’s also on my current iTunes playlist. I absolutely LOVE your reactions! Unlike some other reactors, you really listen intensely, and your descriptions are spot on!! Thanks again for another great reaction. I love you two 💗💕
BTO "Blue Collar "
Also Roll On Down The Highway another banger.
Bachman-Turner Overdrive "Takin' Care Of Business",, "Hey You",, Roll On Down The Highway" & "Blue Collar"
My first concert. Loved them ever since…
You want complex...Blue Collar. Masterpiece. Love Let It Ride...BTO - so much great music! Grew up with it and it never gets old.
You Aint Seen Nothing Yet is their best song IMO.
Love BTO! Thanks guys!
These Canadian rockers play together so well, and for so many years, that their live concerts are so full of energy, the musicians as good or better than their recordings, and us fans jumping on our feet with joy at the music! Multnomah County Fair, summer 1980, Portland, Oregon.
“Not Fragile” and “Rock is my life” are a couple of other BTO songs. Great reaction guys thanks
Not Fragile is Awesome
Fred Turner on lead vocals. This song rocks! Not Fragile and Blue Collar next please. Cheers 🇨🇦
Great show both bands fantastic
A great Canadian band!
All along people have been suggesting other songs by them, but this is the one I've been waiting for. I love the beat, and the harmonies are fantastic. I've never heard a bass and drums work together quite this way. The basic tracks are so strong that the song could have been 60 minutes long and no one would have been tired of it at the end. People use the word epic all of the time, and I'm sick of it, but THIS IS EPIC.
Very 70s vibe❤ nothing like it my favorite bto song
Far out guys one of my favorite songs
Takin Care of Business is one you have to hear! The lyrics are a trip to keep up with so I suggest you have them in front of you. It's a fun song and it's definitely a rockin song!
Ready now for the great guitar riff filled” Roll on Down the Highway”…
BTO - great group! Yes, do their "Let It Roll Down the Highway" - Smashing.
BTO: Roll On Down The Highway !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY FAVORITE
Favorite BTO song. Canadian band. Song rocks!!!!
So many great bands that didn't get much attention outside of Canada. You should check out is Streetheart, the song Action, or Big Sugar Diggin a Hole. Superb musicians, and they all have that certain thing that sounds Canadian.
Its Their Best Song As Far As My Opinion ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Funny you mention Led Zeppelin because Randy Bachman (pronounced Backman) was with The Guess Who and after they had their first hit, “These Eyes” they wanted to be like Led Zeppelin and came up with “American Woman” but the record company wanted more love songs like These Eyes. Like everyone else, I recommend “Taking Care of Business” and “Roll on Down the Highway”. In the 1970’s, CB radios were popular and songs were written and played and popular that were about driving the highway.
I heard a rumor that maybe they are thinking about getting back together, I certainly hope so, great Canadian band. What a great deep voice by Fred Turner one of the 3 lead singers of the group. Songs that are worth a listen to are TAKIN' CARE OF BUSINESS, YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHING YET and GIMME YOUR MONEY PLEASE. Great pick guys.
The guys did a great reaction to You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet a few weeks ago - I love that song!
All right Bro’s it’s time to react to BTO’s Takin’ Care Of Business!!!!!! You won’t be disappointed!!!!! So says Austin Tx!!!!!😎🍸
Nice guy's!!! Another great Canadian band.😃🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Always a crowd pleaser 👏👏
Ive never heard of these I wonder why, ill be checking out more , hopefully with you guys xx
BTO are Canadian. There are a number of excellent Canadian bands that never got the exposure in the U.S. like the U.S. bands did. That could be why although they did have some hits down south.
Great song! ❤️🎼❤️🔥🔥
Blast from the past! 🥰
My favorite BTO song. The ultimate cruising song with all the windows down! ❤😎
1973. Guys, that was the year I graduated high school. This song was just one of so many great tunes that we loved all through high school. Can’t say it enough; what a time to be young! And you guys are hearing the album version. What we heard on the radio was always the even shorter radio edit. Cut out some nice guitar and vocal screams!
In that era radio-stations did not want to play songs longer that 3:30. Richard Branson had a hard time to convice UK radio-station to play Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells. (By the way you have a chance to react to it).
An incredible, amazing band! Listen to them all the time! Happy to see you guys react to them.
Saw them back in the day!
This ABSOLUTE Classic HITS LIKE A BRICK!!,,
The Ides Of March "Vehicle"..A MUST HEAR!!
Love this one!
Hell yea requested this a long time ago, love it.
Such a good band, growing up we were so lucky. Hey Patrick & George 🥰💙💙
Great! Thank you!
Hell ya! This kicked butt!
I heard this back in the day. In my opinion this is such an underated song. It's one of the greatest ever In my opinion.
Fond memories for me - always golfed well with this tune running in my brain…
You guys can blame the radio stations for it being short. Oh well. Still enjoying it since it came out in the 70's.
You should react to The Allman brothers, Ambrosia, and Player. Great bands, great music.
Great Song BROS ! But you gotta do "HEY YOU" by BTO !!
BTO has a bunch of great music. Their songs Taking Care of Business and You ain't Seen Nothing Yet were on every jukebox. Spent a lot of quarters playing those.
Some classic riffs in there for sure. Blasting out of car windows and on beaches seems like everywhere in the 70s.
Please react to more U2.
1) I Still Haven't Found What I'm looking for
2) Running to Stand Still
3) Where the Streets Have No Name
4) All I Want Is You
5) Bad (Live Aid 1985)
6) Pride, In the Name of Love
7) Sunday Bloody Sunday
Hey guys thanks for doing another Bachman-Turner Overdrive. I would have requested this one but I didn't think you would do it so soon after the first BTO. There's still "Takin' Care of Business" and "Roll on down the Highway" that are really super songs. Once again great pick and am glad you like it.
The song Not Fragile didn't get airplay, but IMO it's a great song.
Nice selection! My fave BTO was always Hey You.
Try Blue Collar by BTO. Complete departure from this song and very jazzy. Song is about working the night shift.
This is a GREAT Ttune. Glad you’ve chosen to react to it; I haven’t heard this in years.
I saw them in Germany in the Frankfurt festhalle in 1973 thin Lizzy played before them
good old kick ass Canadian r&r!
Not fragile... is a good tune as well
Love Your Theme Song.......❤❤❤❤
Love BTO so many amazing memories!!
Takin' Care of Business......Roll On Down The Highway are great songs!!! Check them out guys!!!! BTO are among the gods of Rock n' Roll!!!!☺❤
Request. A really good song from BTO that I really like is called Blue Collar. Not so much for the lyrics but for the sound and the way the song just flows from beginning to end.
Hey it's "Bock"man OR this is a band where you can simply say BTO. Just don't use letters for a band unless you research it first. I like both songs equally. BTO ROCK O!! Thnx George & Patrick. Peace Out ✌🏼❣️
My favorite BTO song! So catchy :)
I had this 8-track tape in fact it was the very first 8-track I ever bought. I felt so high tech📻
Pronounced "Bock-min" Like JS Bach. No big deal though, you guys are cool! Peace from Canada.
BTO are former players from The Guess Who.
You want complexity and musicianship (6 minutes +), if you haven't checked it out already, I recommend Roundabout by Yes. Progressive rock on steroids! Emerson, Lake, and Palmer and Moody Blues are also bands that I think fit your criteria.
They're really great aren't they. Great to dance to also. I'm going to make another request for you guys to react to Playing for Change-The Weight (Take A Load Off Fannie) Ringo Star and Robbie Robertson who wrote the song. You guys really have to hear this done by musicians and singers from around the world. Be sure to watch the countries listed under the artists and all the different instruments they play. It will blow your socks off. Coolest collaboration I've ever seen. You won't regret it.
i was born in the 90s and have heard this all my life. how'd yall juuust find it?
I always want to hear "Black Betty", and "Takin' Care Of Business" as a set after this song.
Takin' Care of Business is their masterpiece. Gimme Your Money Please, Lookin' Out for No. 1 and Blue Collar are also super interesting songs from Bachman (pronounced Bock-man) Turner Overdrive (BTO).
This song has a longer version man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
COMPLEXITY AND PROGGINESS AND YOU CAN'T GO WRONG PATRICK AND GEORGE! :) HAPPY LISTENINGS GUYS
Bachman is pronounced like Bach the composer plus the word man. Bachman.
Guys i love your reactions but why havent you listened to rush 2112 it will blow george away its up there with pink floyds shine on you crazy diamond i can tell you the storey in 2112 if you like loved to see you guys react to it..
