She the one who cheated. He says "Where you been out running, I've been waiting half the night?" And "Baby you want the forgiving kind but that's just not my style."
He's saying, "if it were ME who told YOU that they lied, would YOU let it ride?"

Shawn, the song BLUE COLLAR, from their first album, has a different vibe. It is a jazz rock fusion piece. However, the guitar solo is incredible. If you want a high-energy song, listen to Roll on Down the Highway.

BTO played at our community college before they became more well known. I sat on the floor in a medium-size room with BTO banging the whole night. Awesome concert. REO Speedwagon did the same a few years before they became famous. Great time to be a teen.

This still sounds so good today as when it came out. Love the guitar work, the harmonies, the drum work just the whole package. I like the change ups as well.
Really miss the 70's music because the was so much good stuff. I can remember bring in the car and you would hear this coming from someone else's car and you had to find the station playing it.
Your reaction is a lot like when this came out we loved it.
You should check out Vehicle by Ides Of March another banger.

One of my favorite songs of all time. Such a banger, but really get into the lyrics it started with his premise but it ended up a sad break-up song. "and would you cry, if I told you that I lied, and would you say goodbye, or would you let it ride." And his screaming is epic!

Love your enthusiasm and this is indeed a banger to me and always has been since I heard it when I was really young. But I would definitely point out that they essentially had three lead singers in the band, and therefore that is why they're so rich in vocals on their whole catalog. Tons of hits and just easy to like. They're just something that's easy to like about it. And you have to realize that they pulled this stuff off live. They were just that good.

Randy Bachman was part of The Guess Who & then went on to form the band BTO in 1973. Both were great Canadian rock bands. BTO had a lot of great songs in the 70's such as "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet", "Takin' Care Of Business", "Hey You", "Roll On Down The Highway", "Lookin' Out For #1", "Not Fragile", "Four Wheel Drive" etc.

I only had the albums so I never knew this was the B side of tramp. I know that tramp was included on their greatest hits but I never remember hearing it on the radio hardly ever. But I know that a lot of us loved it and it was a common thing to play, especially by slightly older kids. I even covered in a band in my senior year of high school.
It's got this incredible circular chord structure and it really is fun. I wish you would react to that as well. You really seem to get these guys.

Great reaction Shawn!! This is killer indeed!! BTO - a Canadian staple...just solid rock and roll through and through! Randy Bachman is already legendary for his involvement in The Guess Who, then he gets involved with his brothers Robbie & Tim, and Fred Turner & make another killer rock band!!
I would HIGHLY recommend checking the cover of this song from another incredible Canadian rock band, Big Sugar!! Gordie Johnson takes this song to another level!
The say what's in a name? Well, Overdrive is certainly what you get with this!

I Can’t Believe it, but I Really feel this and u get it! There’s a couple young kids that are on here. I don’t know their names I was scrolling through. I usually watch yours anyway, they did a reaction and they think it’s driving a car or something like that. They have no idea what the songs about or and they don’t understand, really anything about it.
You probably don’t know anything about it either but, you FEEL it, and you understand the quality of the voice and if you look at the words, you’ll understand what he’s talking about a little better. Great, great great job.!!!

That’s funny I watch you react to the video and then I went to another video and I only watched you for about one minute so I didn’t get to the part that you were talking about the words. That’s the difference between YOU and people that just react to a song but they don’t investigate it. They think people are talking about something completely different, when I first heard this song in the late 70s, I didn’t know if they were talking about either until I looked at the words pretty cool. I’m gonna listen to you from now on the full video. You’re very artistic and you get it. There’s not a lot of people that really get it. U can definitely relate as if you grew up in that time.😇
