  • You will learn to use your grip scale to measure the length of your rivets, and your machinist scale to measure the diameter of your rivets.

    I believe you are wrong regarding how to measure the length of the Hi-Lok. You do NOT measure the entire length from the manufactured head to the bottom of the threaded shank. You should only measure the grip of the Hi-Lok, not the threaded portion. Measuring only the grip determines the length of the Hi-Lok.

    Thank you very informative! I'm installing rivets and there's not much training at my job its basically figure it out.

    And as others have said you only measure the unthreaded part of the Hi Lok not the whole length.

    You measure the length of the shaft on the hi Lok not the threaded are.... Your going to be installing fasteners that are way too long!

    There is no such thing called a Hi lok Rivet. They are completely different things.
