Diesel tank has two hoses. On my friends car filler and vent pipe were rusted through and broken in half and diesely mud was keeping it together somewhat. Original fuel filter got overwhelmed with dirt and water (seeped in) and ruined all 4 injectors. HP pump survived.
Excellent video, just one question please..did you have to drain the fuel out before starting the job, or is there some sort of internal valve to stop the fuel pouring out when the fuel pipe is removed?
Thanks for watching really appreciate it. There wasn't much fuel in the tank. But if you have full tank then you probably need to drain it. Just undo the big pipe and what ever there is will come out
I bought ours on ebay. Way cheaper than Toyota. 51 quid. This video is perfect as a guide too. Make sure you order new jubilees and clips too because the old ones will be wrecked like ours was.
@@imranquinn2070 trust me it was really hard to do all the nuts and bolts were really rusty and it took more than 10min I edited the video. But if everything comes off nice and easy £50 is ok
@@TEAMR4ULTV that’s understandable £50 and Yh I get the bolts may be rusty but that’s part of the work as a mechanic. But again ovbs course the longer it takes you the more you charge thanks for the response
@@imranquinn2070 As a DIY, I've been unable to start projects because of rusted out bolts or stripped fittings. That's what I gladly pay the pros for - so I won't have to deal with it. Not only is it hard to get the nuts or bolts off, you have to have new ones to replace them. This can easily double the amount of time needed to do the job.
well done. I am 77 and if I had the tools and strength i could do this myself with your excellent explanation
Thanks for watching really appreciate it
Great video.... just done this.... i was lucky... bolt and clips came undone fairly easy.... Thanks very much ...
How long roughly did it take you to do the job? Good video 👍🏻
