Hello Adam as usual very informative and scientific slightly complicated... But spread gene may be easy to get but when is got other genes then it gets complicated for me.. But I wanted to see if u had the chance to get a genitic map of these genes.. It's doable but it's done for the research purposes.. In many universities like Exeter in UK and others
Hello from Romania, Adam ! Could you make a specific video about the similarities and differences between dominant red (ash red) and recessive brown (dark red) and their spread mutations genes and also how to identify them more easily? It's about the type of racing pigeons. Thank you in advance! 🤝 P.S. Congrats and many thanks for what you do !
Hello . I am following you from the Middle East, specifically from Libya. I need you to explain how to produce a pigeon that carries the Almond Rich gene, if possible.. Thank you
hi adam , i have a breeder pair in my loft . the one is a spread english carrier cock and the hen was a blue check racing pigeon, i wonder what will be the color of their offspring ? i don't have the pedigree of both birds tho.
Nice video. One I'll be re-watching. Thanks :-) I'm testing what I learn from your channel by trying to guess the phenotype of friends' pigeons. Of course I have a long way to go! I was puzzling over one yesterday. I couldn't find anything from a reliable source about "mottle", is it a combination of genes (like almond is)... could that be a topic for a video?
Not visually. But if the bird didn't have two spread parents then it cannot be homozygous spread, and if it only breeds spread babies then it must be homozygous.
Hi Adam. Any idea how we can breed a black whiteside pigeon? I recently acquired one hen. Are there chances to breed more black whiteside from this hen by pairing with a blue bar cock since the black whiteside contain spread gene?
If they really are rare i feel super lucky to have witnessed 2 spreads birthed from non spread parents on my balcony looked like a white tumbler mix rock pigeon dad and female rock pigeon had 2 babys bith spread genes
Adam Archer Pigeons I’m trying to find an indigo in Portuguese Tumblers without any success yet, my project at the moment is producing blacks, so a dark T check with the “black bar on the tail” paired with a blue bar or another T check has a chance of producing blacks ?
Adam Archer Pigeons Do yo I have an email so you can send me a picture of what a pair would look like that can produce true blacks or can at lest produce later on down the line after couple years of working with the line, I’ll send you some pictures of the pairs so I can get your input that would be greatly appreciated!
Adm never disappoint. I learnt alot today. U have always been helpful. Thank u sir
Thanks Kelvin, I'm glad you find my videos helpful
Very interesting video, pigeon colours are fascinating. I particularly like all black ones with white wings.
Yes, people sent in some great pictures!
Thanks Adam, me as a old flyer learned something new. Not that I ever tried but more in the racing.
I keep performance racing birds too, but the colour genetics is also a passion.
Very beautiful birds. Thanks for sharing this great video. I’m trying to learn more about pigeon genetics.
I'm happy that my videos are helping people
Adam Archer Pigeons yes they definitely are helping. I appreciate you sharing them!!

Some universities have begun mapping the genes and chromosomes, yes. Utah and Texas in USA for example. One day I'm sure we'll have a complete map.
Hi Adam,Id like you to discuss how the Oriental Satinettes are produced!

Totally different question is it normal when a Sparrowhawk takes the mother bird for two mails to feed the chicks this is happening in my loft
Not completely unheard of.
Hi Adam, when you say 1 copy or 2 copies what do you mean, is it one parent or two parents
Pigeons can have two slots at each autosomal gene. They get one from each parent.
Nice video. One I'll be re-watching. Thanks :-)

There are a few different "mottles" unfortunately!
@@AdamArcherPigeons then we really do need your help to learn about them :-P
Nice colored birds 👍
Yes, people sent in some great looking pigeons!
Bro one doubt please tell me , is there any chance to say the bird is heterozygous spread or homozygous spread?
Not visually. But if the bird didn't have two spread parents then it cannot be homozygous spread, and if it only breeds spread babies then it must be homozygous.

I have indigo pair and one blue male and one silver female..... bro I want to produce Andalusian pigeon please guide me
Hi sir i have a pegion which i think it's a spread gene how could i sent the picture to you?
Superbe video
Thank you!
Sir can you make a video on Albinism in pigeons. Thanks again for your another interesting video.
Very beautiful
Adam, which colour can be paired with a qualmond male for best results
What result would you like?
@@AdamArcherPigeons qualmond or more likely almonds
@@earnfromhome23 You need "stipper" to breed almond, not "qualmond". See ruclips.net/video/a8h_Fm34ypg/видео.html
super video...
Can you go over " mosaic " ?
A few years ago i had a beautiful ash red spread barless
What color is the second pigeon you held
Spread brown
How can i make a red white bar pigeon?
Sterling Archer!!
Phrasing?
If they really are rare i feel super lucky to have witnessed 2 spreads birthed from non spread parents on my balcony looked like a white tumbler mix rock pigeon dad and female rock pigeon had 2 babys bith spread genes
The spread gene would have came from the white parent. White birds are very commonly ash red spread with other modifier.
@@AdamArcherPigeons thats very interesting i have a rock pigeon grey and checkered color and a white almost albino pigeon with a grey tail
White side mutation how develop in pegion,
N'avez vous pas un pdf
👍👍
Can we breed. Pure black birds from tiger grizzles
Yes, if the parent is heterozygous for tiger grizzle, they will breed some blacks. Remember, I recently bred blacks from a tiger grizzle.
@@AdamArcherPigeons can we cross tiger grissle to normal Blue birds to breed out the white colour and make it solid black
@@vishnusj8649 yes, you can.
@@AdamArcherPigeons thanks Adam

How does one ever produce an Indigo without having one to begin with 🤷🏻♂️
Without a 1-in-a million mutation, you cannot. Indigo is a common colour though, it should be easy to find someone who has it.
Adam Archer Pigeons I’m trying to find an indigo in Portuguese Tumblers without any success yet, my project at the moment is producing blacks, so a dark T check with the “black bar on the tail” paired with a blue bar or another T check has a chance of producing blacks ?
@@tp8025 No, without the spread gene you cannot produce "true" blacks. You can get quite dark pigeons with T-Check though.
