The day after the Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando, I saw Mudcrutch at the Fillmore in San Francisco. They played this song, and when they got to the second verse, I remember Tom saying, "Momma take this automatic weapon, off of me." Really makes you think about that line he put in, "Just like so many times before."
God Bless Tom, RIP. It must have been hard for him the last couple of years. You can tell he is heavily sedated here. He was taking some powerful pain-killers. He was a Rock and Roll warrior however. He didn't want to cancel that last Heartbreakers tour. Didn't want to let the fans down. He played all those shows with a broken hip.

He didn’t seem at all sedated at the Mudcrutch 2016 show I saw him at. 2017 was a different story- he was absolutely off.
