So I finally tried this treatment today. Followed your ingredients and steps exactly. And I must say, this is no joke. My hair is completely de-frizzed, shiny, more cooperative, and somehow blacker than before. I am impressed. I’m going to be sharing this video with all my curly girls. Thanks so much for posting this.
You are so welcome Brittany! I am so happy it worked well for your hair. Frizzy hair is sooooo annoying lol but when I stumbled upon this recipe I was so thankful that I finally found a solution.
I feel a sudden overwhelming feeling of love for all people in the world. If you're reading this, I have love for you, and I wish I could take your pain away.
It’s the Love of Christ and only he can take all our pain away, God bless you! May God manifest His in you so other can testify of God’s love! God bless you♥️
I did the cherry Lolita treatment. It moisturized my hair extremely. It revealed to me that I have 3 different textures in my hair. The top middle toward the back is 4b, the sides in the front are 4a, the lover back are 3c. My hair had maximum frizz reduction in the 3c, 4a sections and min frizz control in the 4b section. But it was very soft and maximum definition. Thanks
Queen Roots - Melissa J. Russell . Hello! I think it would be great once a month. In conjunction with your deep conditioning treatment. I feel it caused a little itchyness. But that improved. Make sure you deep condition after the rinse out of the Lolita treatment. This would be for extra moisture.
This video and comments are giving me hope! My crown and top of my head is extremely frizzy and all the rest I have beautiful tight curls. Will definitely be trying this!
I tried your recipe this evening and MAN it was amazing!! I subbed Greek yogurt since i only had that in the fridge. Will deff incorporate this 1x month.Curls were popping and hair felt smoother for sure!
My curl pattern is pretty much the same as yours but the roots in the front were soooo frizzy no amount of gel would get it to lay so my hair always ended up in a bun. After the treatment, my front pieces now curl with the rest of my hair no gel needed!! I never expected it to work this well cause girl I've tried about everything!
I wonder why my roots are so puffy. The first 3 inches are DENSE then the rest is curly. idk if they’re 2 different textures. Or if Im not taking my product all the way down to the root. It’s like a fro with curls attached to it. Annoying.
I guess u can hey so I think I’m protein senseitive and should have used less protein and detangled prior to putting the treatment on. I got major curl clumping and definition but it did not help me for webbing/tangling at roots. I will try again with less amino and detangling prior
I've been trying to look at a perfect way to take rid of my dry hair, even I was thinking about relaxing my hair but with your ideas I'm realy appreciate of this diamond thing you've brought it for us,we really need this, god bless you
I love your videos so much-🙌🏾 down! It's so nice finding someone on RUclips that genuinely sticks to her routine, honest, and wants to help others with their hair! Your hair has flourished so much over the years due to how detailed you are with consistency of products and ingredients - and I'm glad I found this channel! For a while I have been sick with my journey getting lost bra strap length hair, I feel you meet me where I am and helping me move forward. Even though I follow the Curly Girl Method, your techniques still work very good for me! For those of you who are new with a twa, take advantage of this channel!!! I wish I did when I first started, but the great thing is it's never too late 💞 Once again thank you so much for your videos, I'm glued💞
OMG!!! I’m doing this treatment right now and i have curls i never knew could exist!!!!! I’m going to make a video tonight and shout you out sis!! Thanks you for sharing!! 💪🏽👌🏽🙌🏽🥰
Healthoverlength actually, the Cherry Lola treatment came first, named after the blogger Cherry Lola. Her (Cherry Lola’s) original video from 2019 is still on RUclips. Someone else came along later and added those other steps for the MHM.
It went well and the frizz was greatly reduced. I deep conditioned and left a little conditioner in my hair. 2 months later and the frizz returned. I think I am going to do this more often.
I’m transitioning and I’m like 75% relaxed and 25% natural and my roots are giving me hell. On top of having scalp issues, my roots are always so dry and frizzy. It’s like my roots are high porosity and my mid lengths and ends are medium porosity. I have to remoisturize my roots damn near everyday but it doesn’t seem to be doing much. I’ve done an aphogee treatment but I’ve always been afraid to put it on my scalp, so I considered investing in some DC protein treatments or the Philip Kingsley elasticizer. I’m going to try this first and see what happens before I shell out $$$ for those other products, thank you for this video it couldn’t have come at a better time!!
Thank you for making this video AND for re-sharing this technique. As soon as you rinsed the CL protein treatment out, first thing I noticed (even before you said it) was how much your curls stood out! Also first impression and ongoing of you when I saw your previous video about repairing frizzy roots was you've got such a clean-cut look to you. Can't explain it. Everything is perfectly groomed, in place. Yet, without being showy or outrageous. Something about you NATURALLY draws attention to you, WITHOUT even having to rely on all that heavy makeup or fuss or fake accessories, to call in the attraction. Also, for some reason, keep getting you have a "French" vibe to you. Maybe if you haven't already looked into it, it might be part of your culture or lineage and you didn't even know... And, I could almost bet in your previous video on the frizzy roots, you said you only used the CL treatment one time becuz that was all that was needed and becuz it worked so well. Maybe I heard wrong, or maybe I misunderstood. But in this video, you said you tried it before... So a bit confusing...Either way, excellent job, outstanding results on the CL treatment. And best of luck with the ongoing hair-care journey! (We ladies ALL know, it is never-ending!)
I was looking for something to help with the frizz. Tried the treatment tonight and OMG i noticed a big difference. I love it and cant wait to tell my sister and niece.. How often can you use the treatment?
Awesome! I really like your results, especially from the moisturizing deep conditioner. Your hair looks amazing! I am going to buy that moisturizing deep conditioner, since it is your favorite it must be special. Thanks again for an awesome video. 😊
thanks for doing this! I remembered the Cherry Lola from a few years back from MakeupanBeautyJunkie but reminded me I'm going to try it! Thanks so much! xo
Cheryl Rose Best Sorry for late reply. Yes it got rid of my frizzy hair and brought back my curl pattern and my hair was soft and moisturiser. But I added a piece of avacado and some oil in it so my hair wouldn't be super dry and I wasn't too keen on putting baking soda in my hair. Also deep conditioner afterwards. Been like almost 4 weeks since and the super frizzy hair i had before hasn't returned yet
You can apply it to dirty or clean hair. I applied to clean hair because I feel like it may be easier for the treatment to penetrate but it’s completely up to you 😊
PowerInYourCurl ok one more question because I rewatched this after buying products. Do I need to use a clarifying shampoo or just use a regular sulfate shampoo or a sulfate free shampoo and the let it completely dry before applying the treatment? Is it ok for deep conditioning to have silicones? Sorry that was kind of like 3 questions!!❤️
Another treatment to add in my routine. Random question...have you seen different results from Aphogee or is cherry lola better for you? Loved your results and will try your fave deep cond! Btw...Nice touch at the end, lol.
Your results were amazing! 😍 Quick question: so I have high porosity and it loves protein, so would you recommend me skipping the baking soda? Or using less of it? Thanks!😊
The office. Lol im gonna try a version of what you did on my next wash day. I use a henna and Ayurvedic gloss mix... im gonna try the recipe you have here and add my herbs to it ( my hair loves protein) and follow with a moisturizing deep conditioner and see what my hair is talking about after that.
Thanks for sharing. I have frizzy roots/hair issues and am looking for a way to smooth them out. But I have low porosity hair and whenever I do a protein treatment my hair feels like hay. I saw in your hair journey video that you have low porosity hair too. Do other protein treatments make your hair extremely dry and fragile? I was really surprised when you said your hair was extremely soft after the cherry cola treatment. Thanks for your help and insight.
Hey Tennis, I don't do protein treatments often and whenever I do I am very cautious. There are a few protein treatments that work well for my hair and this happens to be one of them. If you are really worried about the protein you can decrease the amount of liquid aminos that you use or not use the aminos at all. The yogurt also offers some protein and moisture benefits for the hair.
Thank you so much ! It really works. My hair is now sooo soft. I still have little frizz but it's my fault : I put 2 spoons of liquid aminos & baking soda. So I have to do it once again. How often can i do it ? I am soo pleased 😄🤩😎
I'm glad to hear that! When my roots were really frizzy I only had to use it once and it defrizzed them completely. I haven't had to use the treatment for years. If you want to use the treatment continuously I would suggest 1-2 times a month.
Really wanna try this! My hair is sooo frizzy at the roots and throughout my hair, so sometimes my wash and go's do not come out great! Only challenge is trying to find this amino acid liquid in the UK! Hopefully I find it, if not I will have to wait until I come to the US this summer to buy it. Quick questions: I often get a lot of single strand knots, is there a good way to prevent this? I also feel like my hair isn't strong but my hair is protein sensitive what would you recommend? Love your channel so much, I get so excited when I see a video from you lol!
Thank you so much! Your words are so kind and beautiful ❤️❤️ I have linked to where you can purchase liquid aminos in my description box. It may be available in health stores near you or even on websites like iHerb and Vitamin Shoppe. For single strand knots, I tend to get them a lot when I am not stretching my hair and wearing protective styles. The knot forms when your hair curls up on itself so to minimize them you can stretch your hair instead of wearing a wash and go or place your hair in a protective style so your hair isn’t loose. Some knots are normal and just apart of having curly hair, but if you are seeing a lot of them switching up your go to style helps.
Also, to help you strengthen your hair although you are protein sensitive I would recommend products that have just one or two HYDROLIZED proteins in them (hydrolozed silk protein, hydrolized wheat protein, etc.) for a light protein treatment. The Mielle Babassu Mint Deep Conditioner does a great shop at providing moisture and strength in my opinion.
I am that frizzy roots person. Do you think that this treatment would be safe for someone who experienced protein overload a month ago? For the record video was great..
PowerInYourCurl What did I win? Lol jk. Have you noticed a difference in your hair since moving to Florida? I'm curious to know how, or if, the humidity have affected your hair.
Hi Raven! Many women use the Cherry Lola Treatment in their Maximum Hydration routines. I do not use the maximum hydration method, but just figured out through trial and error that this mask really helps with reducing my frizz :)
Hello beautiful. Thank you for sharing. My apologies if you or someone has answered this question. How often is the treatment to be done? Thank you kindly in advance for your response 🥰
Great video love! I was waiting for this one. So can I ask many times did you have to use this treatment in the past before it de-frizzed your hair? xoxo
Great question! Cherry Lola suggests that you can use this treatment 3-4 times a month if you have thick hair and 1-2 times a month is you have fine hair. I would slowly ease it into your regimen because I wouldn’t want to over-apply baking soda to my hair.
I need HELP 😩 I’ve been transitioning for 15 months (so y’all know I’m already tied) but I did this treatment because my hair it frizzy (no definition, curl pattern or anything) except the ends of my natural hair which are smooth and super curly. After I rinsed out the treatment the frizz was nearly gone and my hair was super defined but after I deep conditioned the frizz came right back. I used the Shea moisture coconut hibiscus mask. Should I do the treatment again next wash day? Should I try something else??
Kamesha Riggs oh no! Commenting because I need an answer to this as well! 😩 I think i should just do a leave in or moisturizer afterwards instead of deep conditioning
so, I have high porosity hair, and I noticed you said that the baking soda is meant to open up the cuticle. Is there an alternate ingredient I can use, or could I just add less baking soda?
So I finally tried this treatment today. Followed your ingredients and steps exactly. And I must say, this is no joke. My hair is completely de-frizzed, shiny, more cooperative, and somehow blacker than before. I am impressed. I’m going to be sharing this video with all my curly girls. PowerInYourCurl I just looked at your video. Did you wash your hair before you put the treatment in? Thanks!!!!
@@PowerInYourCurl hi do you still stand by this treat or have you since found something that works just as well or better? Asking for my hair 🤪

I think its because of past breakage. Those strands are shorter and growing out.

I have had frizzy roots since I was a child. I'm going to try this out in 1 week and let you know how it goes.

I can truly say this is the best tutorial from this baby girl. I've been following her and my hair is growing all over the place!
Lovely results. Your hair is defined & you can see the moisture. 💜

I followed the recipe to the T & only stayed under the dryer for 45 min
Could the liquid aminos be added to deep conditioners the enhance that as well?
Thanks
A few months of these type of moisture treatments and I’ll get my curls poppin and hanging too sis

Aww thank you! Don't be jealous though 😌 Your hair is gorgeous as well and it is uniquely your's 👑

Hello, is this similar to the Maximum Hydration Method ??
Can i do without the liquid aminos,or is there something that i can substitute with?
I’m wondering too. Did you find the answer?
Great video love! I was waiting for this one. So can I ask many times did you have to use this treatment in the past before it de-frizzed your hair? xoxo
Great question! Cherry Lola suggests that you can use this treatment 3-4 times a month if you have thick hair and 1-2 times a month is you have fine hair. I would slowly ease it into your regimen because I wouldn’t want to over-apply baking soda to my hair.
PowerInYourCurl thank you so much for responding!
I just realized I didn't even answer your question fully! lol, I am so sorry. I used this treatment one time and it de-frizzed my hair completely.
PowerInYourCurl lol I didn’t even notice. Thank you! xoxo
The office. One of my favorite shows

I think i should just do a leave in or moisturizer afterwards instead of deep conditioning
It seem like it's the product that causing the hair to frizz easily. Hmmm.....
Hey girl, I did henna a week ago, do you think I could do this in about 2 weeks? I suffer with a lot of frizz in crown area? Thanks for sharing.
so, I have high porosity hair, and I noticed you said that the baking soda is meant to open up the cuticle. Is there an alternate ingredient I can use, or could I just add less baking soda?
