The question is you leave the Ozone black tubs in the water container- during cpap use? I don't. I remove the wtr containers lids for cleaning and then wash the cpap water container top while ozone is lid is in use.

Excellent presentation! I appreciated the practical application of using the device. My question: If the ozone kills 99% of the germs, why do we still have to wash the tubing once/month?

Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. While ozone does kill germs, it does not remove facial oils, dust, and other foreign material that can build up in your CPAP equipment. Periodic cleaning with soap and water is recommended to remove such contaminants. Thank you for your question.

Great presentation and appreciate you addressing the questions in the comment section. So if I understand you correctly, you only use the SoClean once a week to disinfect the unit and clean the hose and reservoir occasionally (every month or so)?

Thank you for watching, your comment and your question WaketheBarbarian. I love your name by the way. Yes, I only use the SoClean unit once a week. Because I only run distilled water, I find that running a tube brush through the tube and a cleaning brush in the tank every month works well for me, both of mine still look new. Again, not a recommendation since I have no medical background but those are my practices. Since I personally know of individuals that run tap water and do zero cleaning and disinfecting of their units for months, I assume my machine is probably cleaner than most. The goal is always to have an effective method for cleaning and disinfecting that you can be consistent with. Cheers

With the connected adapter, should you have distilled water in the humidifier?

Thank you, Duc Nguyen, for watching and for your question. I am uncertain if you are asking if distilled water is recommended over tap water or if there should be water present in the reservoir during the cleaning cycle. Regarding distilled water verses tap water, recommendations made by the medical community advises using distilled water in your CPAP machine. Regarding water present or not in the reservoir during the SoClean sanitation cycle, my research indicates that the ozone sanitation process should be effective with or without water in the reservoir.

Great review and you covered a great deal about this and approaches to how to apply it to your cleaning regimen. Curiosity, what do you like to use for cleaning the oils off of the masks? Is it a combination of wipes and soaps? Thanks in advance, sir.

Thank you for watching my video and taking the time to leave a comment and question. It has been about 3 years since I have used cleaning wipes, but when I did, I liked the Citrus II CPAP wipes the best - I found the best pricing at the time on Amazon. Now I prefer to use a small dab of Dawn Dish washing liquid and some water to remove skin oils, it seems to work the best for me overall. I hope you will watch my next review of a portable Ozone cleaner, which I expect to release in about two months.

I use Nature Promise detergent to clean my CPAP equipment because it doesn’t have any aroma. Plus I do use SoClean Neutralizing Pre-wash.

JFJ C. I have also used the SoClean neutralizing prewash but have not tried Nature Promise detergent. I will keep an eye out for it to try. Thank you for watching and commenting.

I have to add that none of these machines "clean", they just sanitize. You have to manually scrub the gunk from the mask, hose, tank, etc.

Greetings Ed, thank you for your comments. Yes, I absolutely agree that the So Clean 2 only sanitizes my CPAP, mask, and hose. I have found that if I use only distilled water, I have not needed to scrub my hose and tank, but I still do wash my mask with a little Dawn every morning.

Create ozone? . . . Filter and remove ozone

I bought the Soclean back in 2017. Since I began using it, a lot of info has come forth stating that the levels of ozone emitted are UNSAFE for humans or animals. In Oct 2020, I was diagnosed with leukemia, I have shortness of breath, suffer from chronic sinus and runny nose issues and exhaustion. In addition, if you use this machine with your CPAP, your warranty will NOT be honored. I just picked up a new CPAP this week and was advised that I should not use the SoClean!

Wanda, thank you for sharing your story with me. You have given cause to investigate the use of my machine further. I wish you well.
