Looking forward to seeing how your blanket comes out. I am impressed that you finished your advent blanket already. It turned out great. I was thinking about trying that blanket yarn but l am glad l waited. Now l will have an idea what it will look like when l get it.😊
😊 it’s so good to see you again. And I like your hair. How is Flynn? I hope all is going well for him. Your blanket is very pretty, and you did a fine job. Only a really nitpicky self proclaim crochet expert would know this or even care about the mistakes we make. Most people don’t even notice them. And, as we all know, it’s so much easier to fix a mistake when you are crocheting and it is when you are knitting. I recently had to get a new debit card also, and quite forgot to tell a couple of companies that I regularly pay my bills or automatically that I had a new card. I’ve had to do this a couple of times, and always forget to let important people know. I just wanted you to know that this past year actually this past year and a half have been tough. In October 2023 I lost my precious carrier mix Spencer., In a year ago this coming March 8, my baby white Chihuahua across the rainbow bridge . After so many losses, losing my fur babies seem like the last straw. I don’t think I will ever get over losing them. They were even official comfort, dogs, and could go wherever I wanted to take them. Please forgive any spelling mistakes, or weird words. You might have to extra a little bit. I am now legally blind, due to glaucoma, but I can still crochet, even though I do have to watch what yarn I use, or even what stitch I use. I’ve been doing it so long that most of it is muscle memory anyway. I have never used the linen and stitch, but I know it looks pretty cool. My favorite stitches are the Suzette stitch, and the lemon peel stitch. Both are easy, and don’t leave holes for little fingers to get caught in. Asking prayers for my son, Andy. He will, on January 15, have open heart surgery. There will be a valve replacement and a bypass. I keep telling myself that the procedure is routine for these doctors, and that everything will be just fine. But my son has significant risk factors , and since I was a paramedic at one time, I am very worried. I hope your family had a lovely Christmas, and that you will have a prosperous and happy 2025. God bless, Sandy from Cincinnati.❤
I like your blanket, it’s pretty with all of the different colors and stitches. It would be nice to use the pattern and your own yarn to make it again, now that you can do it on your own time. I can’t wait to see how your blanket with the Cover Story yarn turns out. 🧶💜🙏🏻
I have knit two blankets with Cover Story, each using only one of the big big skeins. They were both for daughters in their 50’s and are the tiger striped colorway (not sure of the actual name). They loved them because they are so soft and they are good to snuggle under. I think the Walmart price is a good one. I got mine at JoAnns a couple of years ago. think it will be fun for you. Hard to use the big needles compared with using regular sized ones. I have a few more skeins to use up. Who knows when the inspiration will strike! Your blanket is lovely and it is so fun to learn new stitches this way. I have done a couple of Sandra@Cherryheart’s blanket patterns that use a whole bunch of stitches and it is difficult to keep the edges straight when the stitch wants to pull in, in certain sections. She is also British so her patterns use English terms, however, some of them come with both American and english terms.
Wow! Summer, your blanket is awesome! Really pretty !. The stitches are beautiful! Good job!. 👍. I have been knitting dolls clothes and crocheting a blanket and a bag. Happy new year to you and your family! Mandy uk 🇬🇧 xxx😊❤
Congrats on getting your blanket done. Wow you did so many new stitches. Totally a new learning experience. If it had been me I wouldn't have gotten through it. I had trouble doing a hat the other day. Of course the TV was on and others distracting. I ended up getting up before every one and doing it.
Glad you finished the blanket Summer. I have to same problem when flicking between US and then back to UK (where I live) terminology 🤷♀️. I soon find my mojo again though 😊
Great job on the blanket! I understand your frustration with the ch3 turning. I never used a ch3 anymore and don’t know why patterns still call for it. There are better turning methods out there that give you a straight edge and don’t mess up your stitch count that work better, imo. I use the stacked sc the most. Looking forward to your addi video! I gave my daughter one for Christmas so I’m hoping it works out🤞 Thanks!💜
Beautiful blanket. I really appreciate your honesty about the stitches that you liked or didn't like. I've felt that way about some of the Crochet Society patterns but thought it was just me. Glad to know that others struggle with the stitches too!
The Blanket looks great. I always always mess up with counting. I like a single stitch or row or a pattern I don’t need to count all the time. Even granny squares or stitches are fine. To me it takes all the enjoyment out of the process. Anyways it’s beautiful as always. You inspire me to try Ross’s Hat pattern. I’m not great at knitting. I don’t remember counting all the time though. Anyways I’m excited to see how the blanket yarn comes out! I’ve always wanted to try these but I just haven’t. I look forward to your next video!! Also I’m excited to buy next year Advent Box from crochet society I didn’t know I could. Of course I didn’t think to ask them ,silly me! I love your channel!! Happy New Year!
Hi Summer love your blanket! I agree with the chain 3 , im only up to day 4 and having trouble with my edges! , im not going to frog though ! I've started using the chain three a the stitch, the yarn is very soft to use, happy crocheting Kaye x
Your blanket is beautiful! I used to catch those coverstory yarns on sale at lion brand. I have 2 great pyerenese dogs - 100+ lbs each and those skeins make pretty good dog mats for them :) It's been a while since I made one but seems like they washed up really well too. Happy New Year Summer!
Hi Summer, at least u learned some new ways to mix stitch rows, colors r nice,a person that doesn't know crocheting wouldn't notice mistakes, have a nice night

I'd like a blanket with only the teal and plum. I not a fan of samplers. You did a good job

Absolutely love this. The colors are so pretty Keep up the good work.❤
Can’t wait to see your blanket with cover story yahoo, also I’m thinking of buying a addi so would like your opinion will be watching TYIA
You did it 👏 ❤❤❤
I’m making a baby blanket and I’m having that same problem with chain at end and not counting it!!! So my stitch count has been a challenge!
The blanket is very pretty. What if you made it using their terms in U S terms? When they say DC ( sc) you did DC?
That would be interesting to try! Even just for a few sections. For sure it would be ‘bigger’
Where do you get the pattern?
