You, go girl. You have very beautiful stuff. You're more skilled than me. I'm doing some catching up today too. I needed to line a cotton crocheted bag. Meh, in having to finish it since it's done by hand and I don't have a sewing machine. Hate doing lining. But love your stuff. At the end of the year I do frog some stuff but it's totally up to you. And then I can say I'm caught up. 😂
I had to stop the instant I saw the title! So grateful I did! I just went and did this last week. And right now I picked up an afghan I have had on needles for I think 3 years! It is getting done!
You have several that are so close to finishing! I love your almost finished raspberry (?) colored, selfish sweater! You will look lovely wearing it. You should definitely finish it soon.
I think the peach yarn is so pretty, but if it is too bright for you you could add a variegated that has peach in it to tone it down. The LOTR yarn is so beautiful. The current pattern you are doing is beautiful, but if you aren’t excited about it you should do something that excites you. Just discovered your channel. I love all your WIPs!
I agree completely. You could try a knit square to see what you think, but I think you'll be happier (in my 3 sec knowledge of you 😂) with a crochet project. It's easy to pull out and redo with wool, so I say experiment. I think whatever choice you make it will be stunning because it's LOTR. And it's always going to be stunning. I'm not biased at all. 😂
WIP's are often frustrating. We begin a project with full intention of completing it quickly. (I have 11 pending now.) I find that if I tell my crochet friend that I have a specific project I want to complete, she will ask me about it every week. She only wants the best for me. She doesn't ask to annoy me, only to remind me that if I am not working on it, what am I really saying about it? I am not a perfectionist, and I want each project to be the best I can do. If you have an honest friend who could be your crochet accountability person, they will help you to see if you want to complete the WIP or frog it. Good luck.
Just my opinion. But on the LotR blanket I think you should do the knitted version. It takes less yarn to knit than crochet so you would be able to get a bigger blanket from same amount of yarn. I enjoyed the video. I actually have plans to go through my wips today so this encourages me to
On the peach baby blanket you can just make it into a scarf instead you got it long enough in height so few more rows and you'd be done. Plus you'd have leftover yarn to make another one
My brother's love Lord of the rings and the Hobbit so do i. So id say keep doing squares in whatever crochet pattern you want and put ot together. I am making my dream blanket right now the Storm warning flag blanket i am a Hunter Hayes fan i love him and his music. Seen him in concert 3 times and met him on my 3rd concert so the fandom is very special i am a fellow nerd too Harry potter ,Star wars, lord of the rings, Hobbit so take Time with the blanket and go were the ring takes you but don't wear it too long
Before 2024 ended I finished up the monster high clawdeen wolf loom knit scarf I was working on since 2022 when the first monster high live action movie came out and then the 2nd movie came out in 2023 but then the 3rd movie got cancelled which was supposed to come out this year and so I end up finishing up the scarf and I think I'll be keeping it for me. Then I started loom knitting a doll hat using the left over yarn from the scarf and another eyelash yarn. Now for my new year project I am making a Storm warning flag blanket I am a hunter Hayes fan I love his music and so I am making a Granny square blanket using the colors of the storm warning flag which is black and red so I got 2 wips in progress. I want to make a paper airplane something with some white yarn mom got for me at goodwill because again Hunter Hayes he gave his paper airplane set list when we met in 2019. So I have some ideas for more hunter Hayes inspired crochet and loom knit projects
I have some more yarn up in storage so I don't know if I have any more wips cause their up high in the loft so when I'm done with my current Storm warning blanket I'll have dad or my brothers get me my rainbow o g yarns so I can make something for my American Girl dolls
The first time to visit your channel. It was really nice. I believe you should continue with your Lord of the Rings squares. The yarn is absolutely Gorgeous! It will be beautiful no matter what you choose ♥️ ❤️ ✨️ 💕. Have a great day.
Find a solid granny square and do it single strand, it will take a long time but will be beautiful. Have a look at Cozy Cottage memories blanket. Good luck
Yes, be all about me. Finish your Lord of the Rings blanket , I can't wait to see it. I've never watched the movie, but I love the concept of the blanket. Of all your whips, this is the one I'm most excited to see done. I'm not a special yard person because I can't afford it. I love the idea of your scrap yarn blankets. I don't go through that much yarn to do by colors, but it's a great idea. Love seeing your Corgi's. I have a blue marvel corgi. Please finish your Lord of the Rings blanket.
With the Lord of the Rings blanket, perhaps a ripple pattern? Either in wide stripes to show off the colours or a spiked granny ripple to meld them together a bit?
For the LOTR yarn, if you still want to work it in squares, why not try some squares in different stitches, and see what you like. Remember, not all of the squares have to be in the same pattern! Once you have a few, see how they look together. And block them. That often makes the world of difference! 😊
@LilyTree Good idea! I admit to definitely being stuck with the idea of that pattern lol. Trying out different stitches/squares is absolutely something I need to do!
I'd finish the LotR blanket in the squares you have done stitch or combine them equally with regular grannies (holding 2 strands tog if you like how that looks). Same with the other things you don't particularly like, or that take forever to make... do a faster stitch that you do like. Like your "go to" stitch. That's grannies for me -but not a million 5 round granny=a single square that ends up big enough to cover me. That's my humble opinion 😊
if you don't like the peach blanket frog it. the cowl and the raglan sweater (by TL yarns) I would do first, reason being I think the cowl colors you can wear anytime not just Christmas and the raglan sweater is beautiful and needs to be worn, that would be good where I live for the next 2-3 months. No matter how careful, all my projects always have dog hairs on them.
With the Lord of the Rings yarn I think you have the wrong pattern, I think you need a pattern that really sings those amazing colors. I think the pattern is fine but not with that yarn.

Hi just saw your Chanel…just work on 1 project a day that your nilly finished with ….and that will make it easier …this is what I’m doing atm finishing up all my wips that are nilly finished then you go get onto the others ..do maybe different ones every day and swap so it still makes crocheting 🧶 interesting for you till you finish them of .this is the easy ist way to get through our wips …some time I go out to a cafe and sit just relax have what ever beverage and crochet 🧶 this makes it a very productive day for you as your not sitting home daily as the same bearing things this does make a difference and plan your day or weekends
OMG! That opening scene was hilarious and so relatable. Looking forward to watching the rest of your video.
Mom's and Grandma's love what ever it is that we crochet, knit just make in general even if its not perfect or we see the mistakes and they don't

For your purple scrab blanket I'd add blue to it. The purple and blue together looks pretty together

@@TheSablelou You got this!!!
Great intro! Love the temperature blanket colors. If I ever do one it will be in all shades of blues/teals/greens.
