It’s actually insane how in depth Inscryption goes with the cipher and the P03 music and the STOP with the order of the cards is actually insane. I loved this game but this makes it even more insane
Imagine accidentally putting the STOP cards in your normal playthrough without knowing anything about the cipher thing. Like- This game just yelled at me to stop, I have concerns
@@TheStellaGaming 3 of those cards are rare, so it's near impossible to get them all in your your deck then draw all of them in the first place, playing 2 Daus on the rim is extremely counter intuitive, the mantis god is very likely to be sacrificed, and rat king is one of the worst card you can get. I doubt anyone would accidentally find this in their playthrough.
@@smallone2351 I never said it would happen, just that it would be a bit unsettling if it did. I know it would be a bad play or whatever, but sometimes you're just trying to get overkill damage or something for the extra golden teeth, and you already have some cards on the board.

The answers aren't as satisfying if we're not given the context of how they're solved given the clues. So please continue, the explanation and puzzles make the theories more interesting to watch.

The floor puzzle was actually solved accidentally, using the "273" plus the number of missing roof tiles on Leshy's cabin in Act 2, which coincidentally led to the same answer as the floor textures.
Mat, you explained it yourself: stopping a theorist is like stopping a train. You HAVE to finish this thing. And we NEED to know HOW you did it. Don't just spoon-feed us the answers, make our grey matter get extra wrinkly.

I agree with you completely. This game has so many easter eggs that it wouldn't do it justice to give everyone the answers. the complexity of this video makes it so much better than just saying, "hey, here's the answers"
Fun fact: the console is actually a Linux console. The Ctrl+c killed a console app, which is pretty much the loading of the game here and then when app is killed, it lets you use the console
I personally want to hear a lot more about this. When I played through the game initially I was starting to decode stuff but I got stuck and never continued with it.

You gotta give credit to all the gamers who are actually invested in cracking the codes and solving the puzzles of this game because it looks like it takes a lot of thought and work to do.
12:50 I think the real fun comes from the puzzles being actually possible to solve with the right amount of knowledge. Nothing is more frustrating to me than a "riddle" that's designed to be as confusing as possible, with an answer that makes you mad after you've heard it and you think "how in god's name should I conclude that?" I like the puzzles being explained in full. It wouldn’t really feel right to just get answers and being so confused about how that answer was found. I wouldn’t know how 2 would translate to pig! I want these explained! It’s so much more fun when I understand.

This entire thing could end with a five dollar bill hidden in the floppy disk, and I would still be enthralled about how this puzzle is not only so complex, but also really solvable as you and other theorists clearly forged ahead with figuring it all out.

I'm kinda sad that MattPat didn't explain how the community ended up solving the floor puzzle by complete coincidence and accident. The looking in the floor asset thing hadn't been the way the community ended up solving that particular puzzle, they ended up finding an alternative solution that looked super legit and correct while also being just a huge coincidence that solved that part of the puzzle. The entire arg was completely solved and someone was talking to Daniel Mullins when he revealed that actually no one had solved that part and it was all just a complete coincidence that the solution found both worked and made sense in the context of clues.

that would be pretty difficult though as the cards fit terribly together in a deck and you have to play them in a very specific order (rat king costs 2 blood and the daus blocks the nearest spaces, so you have to put filler cards)
Yeah I'd like to see more, these are pretty interesting puzzles. The problem is that this video has way less payoff than part 1. We haven't actually learned anything more other than the other 2 games being connected to Inscryption.
I love this level of detail, especially when the game developers have gone through all the efforts of making it so complex to find the clues, and you’ve gone through the effort of finding these clues. I find it really interesting
It's weird tho for me. I personally love this story of a self contained digital world with 4 made gods all competing for the domain. The ARG stuff though is my least favorite part. I think the entire game works without it, which is amazing, but I do wish there was a possibility for a more in depth card based adventure sequel. But given that this is connecting lore between a bunch of games, I doubt Inscryption will have a sequel

I'm kinda sad that MattPat didn't explain how the community ended up solving the floor puzzle by complete coincidence and accident. The looking in the floor asset thing hadn't been the way the community ended up solving that particular puzzle, they ended up finding an alternative solution that looked super legit and correct while also being just a huge coincidence that solved that part of the puzzle. The entire arg was completely solved and someone was talking to Daniel Mullins when he revealed that actually no one had solved that part and it was all just a complete coincidence that the solution found both worked and made sense in the context of clues.

I love when game devs do this - not sure if Scott started this trend, but I absolutely love these multiple game connections and in-depth backstory. It's not only another story told by the creator, but it's also another game that theorists, problem-solvers and lore fanatics can enjoy, and I truly appreciate that level of commitment from both sides. that would be pretty difficult though as the cards fit terribly together in a deck and you have to play them in a very specific order (rat king costs 2 blood and the daus blocks the nearest spaces, so you have to put filler cards)
Yeah I'd like to see more, these are pretty interesting puzzles. The problem is that this video has way less payoff than part 1. We haven't actually learned anything more other than the other 2 games being connected to Inscryption.

I love this level of detail, especially when the game developers have gone through all the efforts of making it so complex to find the clues, and you’ve gone through the effort of finding these clues. I find it really interesting

It's weird tho for me. I personally love this story of a self contained digital world with 4 made gods all competing for the domain. The ARG stuff though is my least favorite part. I think the entire game works without it, which is amazing, but I do wish there was a possibility for a more in depth card based adventure sequel. But given that this is connecting lore between a bunch of games, I doubt Inscryption will have a sequel
