We Asks Questions To Get a Answer But At Same Time We Expect Some type of answer that would satisfy Ourselves Which Isn’t The Case Most of The Time Leaving Us Disappointed and Not Getting an Answer isn’t any Better As well
I think the cat was some sort of Eldritch horror entity, like the bird box monster whose true form by its nature drives people into Insanity. This entity elected to turn itself permanently into a cat, no longer a threat to anybody, but still unkillable, wishing a simple life of fun. Rick and Jerry saw its true form
I always imagined that the cat was some sort of multidimensional being, and what they saw was so incredibly confusing to a simple 3 dimensional being, that their mind simply couldn't handle the knowledge.
The cat is the survivor of a society where people never ask question and just have fun. And the most horrible thing will happen when people don’t ask questions.
Chuthulu-level insanity from a "cat." Cosmic horror packed into a commonly domesticated cute creature that you think you see, but for a moment, they really did see it, and for Rick, generated true terror, and for Jerry, sparks fear of the unknown because he cant understand much of anything at all... But he understood THIS enough to know he should be scared beyond scared.

I highly recommend you listen slowly to the sounds rick hears when he turns the goggles on. An explosion, something implooding, marching boots, a chainsaw ripping through flesh and a baby crying. It then tried hiding itself in a body got caught and ripped out of it then running away where we meet Jerry.

I find this "asking questions = bad" really interesting coming from the cat considering "curiosity kills the cat. But satisfaction brought it back"
Noiceee
The cat got curious on california what Led to him being scanned by rick (death) and then him linked himself with the dragon (satisfaction)

Hot Take: It's Schrödinger's cat and what they saw was the paradox of being and not that it lived with constantly to both extremes.
This...it seems our opinions arent as common as everyone's

The cat could have gained it ability to talk through " getting it on",
just like Jerry who got telepathic powers by getting it on with an alien

Also jerry got the powers from being taught by the alien not by getting it on

I always imagined that the cat was some sort of multidimensional being, and what they saw was so incredibly confusing to a simple 3 dimensional being, that their mind simply couldn't handle the knowledge.
The cat is the survivor of a society where people never ask question and just have fun. And the most horrible thing will happen when people don’t ask questions.
Wow true

Chuthulu-level insanity from a "cat."
Cosmic horror packed into a commonly domesticated cute creature that you think you see, but for a moment, they really did see it, and for Rick, generated true terror, and for Jerry, sparks fear of the unknown because he cant understand much of anything at all... But he understood THIS enough to know he should be scared beyond scared.
The Truth: The cat was licking himself, like all cats do.

Okay, but it's a memory scanner. What they saw was from the cat's point of view.

A direct example for the conclusion you drew is Bird Box. The fact that we never saw the creatures made them that much more terrifying. Like, imagine if you never saw the creatures in A Silent Place. The scariness levels would SKYROCKET.
