Yeah really sad, it sounds like that universal credit system hasn't kept up with inflation, cost of food, cost of housing etc. Spending so much time worrying on wether they will have food and heating, and turning around every dime they have doesn't make it easier to come out of the situation either, for any one of them. And the children developing anxiety that early won't be benificial to the society in the long term financially either. If speaking purely about the economics of it.
She is such a doll. I adore her and her mother’s relationship. That baby girl has a bright future. She is so genuine, sweet, smart, aware, and just a beautiful happy soul even through their struggles. I pray the best for this family. They deserve it. 🤍
It makes me furious to see the girl struggling and then I see "refugees" in my country with Benz SUVs on social money...I don't know if it's the same in UK.
This little girl is the sweetest. She will have a bright future for sure. Despite the circumstances she’s still positive. Her mother on the other hand! With that attitude of her feeling sorry for herself is a disappointment! 🤦🏽♂️
I'm trying to put myself in that situation but it's really hard as so many bad things would have to align that it seems almost impossible to live like that for more than 1 year. I wish that the documentary had also explored the options she had to exit the situation and why they are not possible/working. Like: why she didn't have savings? Why her family isn't helping? And friends? Why can't she get a job? I gues due to a mental disorder, then, what therapy is she doing? (Or if she isn't, why?) What is her plan to exit this situation? Or why she can't make one? Is it better for her to let social services to take care of the kids for some time until she can pay them a healthy life?... So many questions to answer. I feel that the documentary is a bit biased to make you think that the problem is the society or the government, when it actually may be her decision making. Anyways it is a sad situation. If I was her and I could think as I do now, I'd try to kind of hide it to the kids, so they can enjoy their childhood and development as other kids. I wouldn't involve them in some decisions or explain them how we get the things we need. Of course I would answer their questions, but making them understand that it is my job and that they are not expected to get involved, because their job is to learn, try new things and become the best version of themselves.
All she needs to do is get a job instead of leeching off the social security system and whining about how it’s not enough. She decided to have that many children as well. Making terrible choices and then complaining about the outcome is wild.
The child is so aware of their problems, it sad to see. Instead of enjoying her childhood, she's out there worrying about their expenses and life.
Come to south Africa
