CASSYANNE thinks schools are ‘a prison’. The mom and business owner decided to remove her daughters - Bug, 9 and Bunny, 8, from school this year. Cassyanne said: “The main reasons were, I don’t like what’s being taught in school… I believe a child learns more from freedom on the outside of school rather than sitting in a classroom for six to eight hours.” Cassyanne said instead of school, the girls have tutoring at home on a Monday and the rest of the week have education and activities organised by her, as well as learning to clean and cook. Her decision has been met with a lot of backlash online but Cassyanne said: “For people that judge me on my parenting, I don’t really care.” She describes her daughters as ‘very good, well-mannered, polite children’ and likes to treat them with regular cosmetic treatments. The soon-to-be mom-of-three has also faced criticism from her mom about her decision to pull the girls out of school. She explained: “My mom is anti-taking them out of school. She does not agree with it.”

I've got a lot of friends who home school their kids. I mean, it's not like her kids are just sitting at home, she mentioned them being schooled at home and they learn how to look after a house etc. And hopefully how to pay bills as well

However that's still cruel in my opinion because you're forcing your kids to spend years of their lives trying to build up qualifications in order to get into Uni so they can actually pursue what they want to when they could have just did that as children.

So, she was inconvenienced with their school schedule, and needed her own crew of maids and pulled them out of school. Once she said the word “traveler” I knew why they were removed from school.

I had a father who abused me for 17 years.... Guess what lady; you are doing this too.
You told them what to say, they missed friends, they are not happy. You are trying to look good but your daughters are miserable. They cannot speak on their own, you dress them up in the same clothes... I've been in this kinda of relationship, you will fail them.
And guess what? My father died at nearly 80, alone, no one noticed he died, because he abused his kids like this.

This lady makes enough money to send those kids to private school or to give them a better quality of education than the one that’s provided by the school system. Those are just excuses. If she wanted to homeschool those kids that’s one thing, but they aren’t learning about Math or science or anything. They are losing out.

+anyalawrence9692 I 100% agree that she most likely pulled her daughters out of school for the right reasons. And like you mentioned: there's always homeschooling. Even if it's not much, they are getting some form of an education.
But what this mom doesn't seem to quite understand: If all 3 of her kids do choose to go to University as they get older, they're going to struggle so much in school not to being in it throughout their teen years for example. This all depends on the path they want to choose and/or take for themselves where it sounds like she's almost trying to force her kids to say "take over" her business for her when they become adults, but what if that's *not* what THEY want for themselves and their own future when their older?
Yes, it's Awesome that this mother is very successful in all especially starting at such a young age & became successful from her own business, but she should also consider her daughters' and prob. soon-to-be son's happiness too. Based off what I observed in this video is that it sounded like 1 daughter was extremely happy to be out of school, but it appeared that her other daughter might have wanted to stay in school because she prob. enjoyed the "physical" (for lack of a better word) interactions she was able to have w/her friends while at school. I hope their mom lets them see their friends even though they got pulled out of school. For ex: what if 1 of them wants to be a doctor 1 day?-this does require a lot of math and medical school from what I remember. Or what if 1 of them decides they want to be a Chemist one day (this requires a lot of science classes and some math courses coincide with it too). I'm not criticizing her in any form or way, just asking some questions that may be hard to hear & difficult to answer. But it's also good that she is teaching them life skills b/c most parents' from what I've noticed don't really teach their kids about cooking.
+anyalawrence9692 Also, for the pre-teens/teens who do want to learn how to cook their own food for the first time, it wouldn't surprise me if they learned how to cook for themselves through youtube videos for example (e.g. they kept asking their parents or guardains), but for some reason their parents or guardians kept refusing meaning maybe they were never taught how to cook or they make an excuse of "Oh, I'm just way too busy and don't have time to teach you how to cook." What will happen here? Most kids/teens will rely on either take-out, fast food and/or other people to cook for them esp. if/when they're the type who highly prefer home-cooked meals due to some of them being healthier and better for you for the most part.

The education system is not perfect, but that does not mean I'm keeping my kids home. This lady is ruining her kids chances of a good future. They have such better chance of being independent with a complete education.

“who needs math when you have calculators” math isn’t about just learning how to do arithmetic, it’s about learning how to problem solve and find solutions in ways you wouldn’t have originally thought of. It’s also a good foundation (especially discrete math) for engineering related disciplines like computer science.
maths is the science of logic and reason, its not just numbers.
In maths and English, two negatives make a positive.
Why would girls need to do computer science, isn't that what boys do anyway?
Math is not the only way you can learn how to problem solve. My grandparents were not able to finish school and had little knowledge on maths and yet were the most reasonable and resourceful people I have ever met. There are many more subjects (especially Philosophy) that teach critical and logical thinking
@@Al-ho1oo I would bet they'd didn't grow up in an environment like this. They were probably working and problem solving from a young age. They learned practically from trial and error. They appeared completely fine bc they learned how to take care of these things hands on but realistically there are things they struggled with, they just weren't apparent to you as they probably didn't put themselves in that sort of situation often where they lacked needed skills. Of course they learned how to handle the day to day that's survival but you also didn't see the struggle of getting to that point.
Resourcefulness won't help if you need to read a contract and can't hire someone to read it for you. Did you grandparents encourage your parents and you to go to school and to do well? Probably! And there's a reason why.
School isn't the end all be all. They teach subjects that apply to many areas of life you are to teach your children the rest and how to practically apply them.
Common sense can't be taught. At the end of the day if someone wants to be unreasonable they will be.

Sure you can learn how to shop, but maths teaches you how to apply logic to shopping. For example, I can remember when I was a teenager ASDA ran a deal on their Rice pudding. The normal, smaller can was given a deal of 50% extra for the same price. The majority of shoppers didn't realise that that 50% made the can the same size as the larger can, for 30% less cost. My father spotted it because he knew maths enough to know.
Another example is in America, they've tested out 1/3 and 1/4 burgers. A lot of Americans thought the 1/3 burger was smaller then the 1/4 burger because of the use of "3", which is smaller then "4" naturally. Spoiler; the 1/3 is bigger because one third of a pound is more then one quarter.
You learn maths at school, for a reason. Common sense may take you through life, but a education always helps along the way.

Im not saying I agree everything she’s doing but she did say she does have education time and they go to tutoring on mondays and she teaches them domestic housework and things like that. I mean, that sounds a lot like homeschooling to me. That for me is one of the perks of homeschooling is you can work schedules with your specific way of life and still find time for education. Idk how to British system works if they have to be in a charter school? Or what the legalities are. But it doesn’t sound that bad 😬

Here in the United States, we have these "Home-schooled" kids, NOT all of them, but quite a few who are isolated and don't know how to interact with the outside world. But I will say, some become very independent and successful. But they are the exception.

My friends daughter did online school the last two years of high school. She was so sick of the kids acting so immature all the time. She got straight A’s and could focus more.
She also got accepted to a top art school and her older sister goes there as well and is doing film production and has been working on sets from day one.

And the school keeps an eye on what's going on at home. If a child gets abused at home a teacher will notice and might be able to report it to authorities and get the child some help. But not just those worst case scenario cases. It's always good to not have just the parents keeping track of the children. Parents who don't want to send their children to school because they don't trust the school are not to be trusted themselves. Every child deserves a place they can turn to that is not home. Every child deserves someone keeping track of their development and wellbeing that is not the parents.
As soon as I heard the word “traveler” I knew and understood. This isn’t just about her parenting. This is about how she was raised. Gypsies quit school way earlier than other people. Most girls don’t even get tutors for education so I’d say she’s doing well compared to how it could be.

The entire video, anytime the girls speak; they have zero skills in word comprehension and how to form a single sentence when asked or answering very toddler aged ?'s. This is the very "basic core things" school teaches children. These girls have zero chance of any kind of common sense and figuring it out on their own, especially when the Monste-...Mom specifically said, "He's got to go to school, I can't have a dumb kid..." Well news flash genius, too late you already have two children who are remedial due to her selfish choices.
Plus, She keeps making ridiculous points (trying to prove she is right, when clearly she is beyond the common sense in comprehending what she is limiting her children to. Taking them out of one "BOX" and making them live in her perfect Prison, I mean life she is trying to convince everyone around her how her decisions are whats best. No one is buying it and your girls can't even talk at a second grade level. She needs to go to a couple English classes and learn to speak properly too. Who lied to her and told her everything she said was right? OK I'M DONE!!

@@chrisfry436i don’t think it’s bad that the mom let her drop out at 14, i would never let my kid drop out at such a young age but school really isn’t for everyone, my friend dropped out at 16, promised her mom she’d get her GED and she did, and now she’s in beauty school doing very well for herself, maybe the woman in the video also said she’d get her GED and then went onto pursue being an esthetician… at the end of the day a GED is the same thing as a high school diploma, and i bet a good majority of estheticians make better money than someone with no education higher than high school

Man that’s the most infuriating argument about not going to school. I’m so sick of hearing it “What do they give them?”. I think the real question is what are you giving them. At least at school they get a well rounded education, experience with being punctual, experience of being held accountable, and can socialize outside of the families core beliefs. They start forming their own opinion, and think more expansively when in a place where other people have opinions outside of their own.

i agree! i don’t believe she should’ve taken her kids out of school at 8 & 9 years old, it’s really unfair to them, the difference in situations is the mother chose to drop out after seeing what school had to offer, she didn’t give her kids the same opportunity…
So they get over $50,000 worth of designer because they have good manners and say please and thank you? Am I wrong for thinking that’s unnecessary? For those who think the Government should have more power over us: You should not desire Government over-reach. You should be grateful that your life choices are not controlled by the Government. Judging this woman is not going to make you a better person or parent. To each, their own. She is raising her children according to traditional values. If you want your child to adhere to school standards, that's fine. I admire her for not allowing the majority to rule over her personal choices
I really tried to be open-minded and aware of cultural differences, but to take them both out of school before they've even completed GCSEs is insane 😮
School isn't perfect, but the opportunities it gives, the friends you make, and the knowledge you gain is so unique I genuinely don't think any other aspect of existing in society is like it.
Also, there seems to be no structure and a very haphazard tutoring/home schooling programme for the girls. It seems they're more their mother's unpaid assistants than anything.
Society is becoming more competitive, not less. Taking a child out of school because they're struggling with *ONE* subject doesn't make sense. Particularly when the subject is maths. Something you'll never not need 🤦🏽♀️

In Austria parents can choose to homeschool but the kids need to take exams regularly to prove to the school board they aren't falling behind academically. If they do, they need to go back to school. There'll be heave fines for the parents and as a last resort the kids could be taken away.
Those girls don’t seem happy with their mom’s decision. And it’s very harmful to them too. She got lucky and found a way to make good money without education, but the kids might not. And their possibilities are highly limited now.

It's called unschooling- not as structured. You don't need a school system to educate your children nor a degree to teach them. I don't blame her for taking them out of the system. They dont miss out as much as the public think and the children won't suffer. It's an alternative lifestle most people can't do and often attack others who can. She built her business to provide the lifestyle she wants for her children and most can't do that. She wants to instill want she wants in her children and that's okay. They are helping out with her business and at home and they are learning how to run a business. Most kids their ages aren't helping out their parents let alone traveling with them. It's not a conventional lifestyle but it's not uncommon tho. If the kids will run her business, to a certain extent-they don't need school- they literally have a business/job handed to them and don't need to go to the school to do that. That is the the whole purpose of creating that lifestyle for them-to inherit the business. She has enough money to hire tutors and she's teaching them how to run a business. I feel like if these were boys- people wouldn't critic her as much because what is a difference between a man raising his sons to run the family business and taking them out of school for it? Why go to school when you already have a business for them? Pass on the family business....

I knew they were travellers when she said they were always going to leave school in year six, that her new baby was called Johnny-Blue, and when they showed the girls learning cooking and cleaning. This isn’t an unusual lifestyle for traveller girls, who are traditionally expected to leave school after primary or when they start their period, and grow up to marry young and be a housewife.
She has the perfect opportunity to break the cycle, but she's literally done the opposite and went out her way to make sure there's NO WAY her daughter's have the choice to go a different way if they wanna.
