    Lie about your resume, people do it often. What matters is how you present yourself during interviews. Add that you did an internship with some small almost unrecognizable companies. If they question you, try to play around with your word and give them a positive attitude that you want to work for them nothing else.
    I had this coworker who does the exact same thing and she wrote that she has experience but the moment her honesty was questioned, she made a good impression of herself that made them keep her.
    I do have connection, my dad, who got me in to hospital. If I hadn’t have him to get me in then I wouldn’t have a job. One big connection you have is your former classmates and professors. Make sure to ask them if they know somebody. They are by far your best connections in the field.
    Good luck and I hope you found a job soon!

      Thank you so much for all the advice. Yea I’ll try reaching out to my class mates. Especially the ones that I did design projects with because they know my work abilities. That’s a really good idea. And yea I keep seeing how absolutely vital having connections are. Thank you for the knowledge, I’ll try and put it to use.

      hey bro, first off I want to say best of luck in your job search! But I have to ask, did you network at all or do internships? I am asking purely just out of knowing whether those things will still be beneficial to me.

    I remember being in this position because I graduated with a chem e degree in 2019, it was prob the worst time of my life. I did the same thing as you and applied for hundreds of jobs without luck. My advice is: 1. try different search terms/types of jobs - sales and consulting loves engineers; 2. update your resume - I like your idea of having a webpage as a resume, but that limits the number of positions you can apply for, using stronger language in your resume could go a long way; 3. make a cover letter template where its easy to copy/paste different company names into, you should have different cover letters for different "types" of jobs. Best of luck!

      Okay thank you so much for the advice. I'll follow all of those sets. Is there any guild I can consult to see examples of "using stronger language"? I want to know if I am doing it right. Thanks again, I really appreciate it.

    It's the most difficult after you graduate since you hit the job market with no experience and most employers are looking for people with experience. Once you find someone to employ you which can be hard, it gets easier later after you transition to having some experience. But yeah, I also found it extremely tough and I think there should be programs at companies that give them some incentive to hire new grads because the playing field is not level at that stage and it is overly difficult to just get in anywhere. Very frustrating for me too. I'm glad I don't have to go through that again...

    • @KrisKeon
      @KrisKeon  4 дня назад

      Yea bro I totally agree. It feels like when you first graduate the odds are stacked up against you so much. I know it'll get a lot easier once I have some experience. Thanks for the wisdom, I'll just have to keep pushing.

      @@KrisKeon yeah man you just need some entry level type place to get started. It’s a whole journey, it’s not just about the first job or three you get. Sadly, your expectations get set completely wrong by university and no one takes accountability for that since they just want the tuition money and they’ve got it by the point you get your piece of paper.

    bro, i went back to school for a masters and went back into applying to the job market in late 2023, and I was reject and overlooked by every single company I applied for.. except one! Absolutely brutal. What confused me the most is that the company that hired me said I was their top candidate.. creme of the crop. I would just say the take away from my experience is to apply like mad.. Also I got in touch with this company at a job fair.. no connections to the company but the face to face helped. There IS a company that will appreciate you but finding the right company is hard. Similar to dating

      You're so right thats such a good comparison. Thank you so much for the wisdom it's helpful to know you went through the same thing but succeeded in the end. I know I just have to stay with it. I want to get some face to face interactions but it's hard to know how to meet recruiters. I'll be on the look out for job fairs now. Thanks a lot. Also what was your process like to prepare for interviews?

    • @outphoxed91
      @outphoxed91 4 дня назад

      @@KrisKeon Yes sir, and I would recommended going to job fairs at your university, they should host them. And my interview was fairly relaxed they just asked basic personal questions, and "How did you handle a complex problem?" It wasn't technical at all. I mean you already know how to talk about yourself on RUclips, I think the interview would be the easiest part.

      No I didn't do any intern ships and the only networking I did was with my classmates. I would 10000% recommend internships/coop. Not for their content or their value in the moment but for the resume experience in the future. They can always be a great first place to look for a job after uni too.

      No thats one of my biggest regrets of uni is that I didn't have any coop placements. I appreciate it, I know I'll find something I just want it to be sooner rather then later.
