Some ideas about the food situation: 1. Maybe you could pump some CO2 to the natural mushrooms by the grill and seal it up with a manual airlock. That would ruin your nature reserve though and would probably not give you that much food. One of the mushrooms is growing fine but the other one isn't. 2. You can afford to kill off the drecko you spotted in 44:04 since you have a reed fiber plant. Also you can't really feed them now, I think, so maybe sacrificing them for the greater cause of the achievement is a better choice.The reed fiber plant is by the mushrooms and your dupes are harvesting it. You can also grab more reed fiber or dreckos from the pod whenever you want. 3. You could set the priorities in a way that everyone but the ranchers operates (operating is for any power producing activity right?) so the others run on the wheels more, while the ranchers lullaby. Maybe you can turn one dupe into an operator specifically for the wheels, since you'll have to run solely on them for a while. Also people noted you can use hydrogen apparently. 4. If you have enough meat you could dissalow all other kinds of food so they go through the meat faster. This way you might not need that many dupes. Not food related, but Ellie the rancher is wearing the wrong hat and also I noticed her researching at the 25:23 time stamp. Also in the beginning you commented on how it was taking your dupes a while to build the incubators, 4:42, but what actually happened is that Joshua has the debuff which causes decreased construction skills. In general you should check your priorities settings. Another random thought, maybe you could put some wheels by the shine bugs above the incubators on airflow tiles, so the light shines through them and the dupes get the lit workplace buff. If it works with shine bugs.
the lit workspace doesnt do anything for the wheels... the wheel makes 400 watts which is 400Joules/second meaning 15% faster would be 460 J/S But its never that, it doesnt change. no idea why people always seem to put lights on the wheels....
@@kalenlarsen if you wire a wheel only to a light, the dupe will run on the wheel continuously. This is a good way to train athletics and I think operating for new dupes late in a playthrough.
Nice use of a switch! Maybe there's more hatches in some of those cracks in the starting biome? Or muckroot? Spoiler alert: There's trick to moving eggs before auto-sweepers and convey loaders which I learned from Francis John. It involves using an automatic dispenser with the eggs dropping behind some door that the duplicants don't have access to, until you give them access to it. Also, since you've taken 10 duplicants so early, which often isn't my style when doing carnivore/locavore on standard hunger settings due to the wild food running out problem, I think it's fair to note that 10 duplicants x 1000 calories per cycle x 40 cycles = 10,000 x 40 = 400,000 calories of food. 100 - 40 = 60, so if you can get every duplicant on meat only by cycle 60, you should easily get carnivore. And you have some meat eaten already.
Why not just make the first two incubators on the same sensor, and then the next two, etc... All set for 20% duration, and then starting at 0%, 20%, 40%, 60%, and 80%. Done, evenly balanced, and neat wiring.

Also 2 things btw the wild plants don’t have to be harvestable so you can in fact make 2 nature reserves there even if you can’t harvest the bluff briar, the overlay you used was a growth overlay for harvest ability, not for indicating a plant. But I guess it’s trivial. As far as power don’t forget you can burn hydrogen too! So if you use engie tune up your spom will make a lot of free power when you get there. I’m considering restarting so I can play along too I have never tried all achievements in 4000 hr of ONI LOL In your left side ranches if you put airflow tiles you could move the wall over 1 tile to the left without hurting airflow.

Feel free to ignore my advice if you feel this is backseating, but my OCD (and I use the term in jest although I know real OCD is not a laughing matter) just can't take it :) Pick a number for your cycle sensor. 10, 15, 20 or whatever you want to equally divide your power through the day. Then start at 0 for your first cycle sensor. Next sensor starts at 0+x, next sensor starts at 0+2x and so on. Then put priority high on all incubators and make sure you have at least one rancher awake all the time for scheduling. In other news I love your channel and you playthroughs. You are kind of the reason why I started to play this game :)
Someone else may have mentioned it but the other plants in those rooms do count towards a nature reserve. When you were deciding you clicked on the farming overlay which only highlights harvestable food resource plants
watching you play the 100 dupe challenge, made me go for it... now i wanna try all achievement too!!! for the power you can't use the engines that produces CO2 but you can use hydrogen and maybe steam!
Somewhat sad you can't use wood burners, because they would count as renewable in the real world. You could also make a case for petroleum generators running on ethanol, but that might be too hard to implement into the game. So yes, you can use Hamster wheel, Hydrogen, Steam and Solar.
28:30 if u need to move them build 2 critter drop of, one in the room u want to move to and the other the room u want to move from then make the critter drop of set to none of these and auto wrangle that works also on the flying critter

You won't believe what a coincidence :) I've started all chellenge hunt just right before you :). It's freaking hard on the small asteroid. Ive chosen Rime/Frost and just got lucky! 3 hatches and 6 eggs from the Pod. Apart that just 2 on the starting one! :/
Aren't bottomless stomach dupes really helpful for his challenge as they eat double the amount? If he gets even 10 dupes with this trait the challenge would be way easier. Also, if he gets a hold of shove voles getting meat is way easier although they have to be killed manually (can live to 150)
They are allright but not really that helpful, you can just hire a bunch of extra useless dupes on cycle 60-70 when you have your bbq rolling in. Then you can get rid of the useless dupes once you have the achievement. (That's what I have done in the past when I have bad luck with dupes)
last but not least try to get to the natural gas and get some real power, and use more Deodorizer it will give u free oxygen really for the cost of 5 power and some sand
just saying out loud, your run ist anymore legit, it maybe that you have debug file on your folders, so at 12:52 you see that red cross on colony summary.
Hey Wintermute, why are you even doing this achievments are disabled on your colony, check your own video, top right, at 0:19 lol.... fyi there is a mod called achievment enabler that can fix that so you dont have to restart if you dont want.
Thanks for pointing that out. Are they off by default? Since I don't think I've missed any in terms of steam achievements I might be ok to just turn it on now if that works.
@@GrindThisGame not by default but even using super speed disables them. I noticed they were still active in episode 1. I use achievement enabler because sometimes I too use super speed.
I saw that there were new achievements and I figure hey, let's give it a shot. First try, no hatches, hardly any muckroot found while digging up to cycle 15. Not. One. Hatch. Second try, plenty of muckroot. Cycle 20, not one hatch. Terra is not very nice to me!
i just started one on the swamp after watching this, no hatches but plenty of fish. i was going to quit until i realized there are so many fishs and puft.... it doesnt have to be hatches...
@@555Kaliber I just restarted. I had to have got the flukiest terras ever. I have a 30 strong population of hatches on cycle 20. They must have felt sorry for me. I got 5 eggs as care packages for my first two printings.

Locavore is a nightmare! I remember failing for it so many times before. Super sustainable is ok in fact i got so into it that i tend to only use clean energy for a looooong time. Now im waiting for an artístic dlc always with New critters too, we need more cold statue variants we only have the hatch. Just imagine gothic art o into oni with gargoile statues and so on, also colored tiles and drywalls is a must i used mods for that and they made my bases só freaking pretty to look at.

Setting that anemic digger to be the runner for point 3 would help in the long term.

I've decided to try and do a 100% run as well although I do have mods installed which could make it easier in some aspects and harder in others

Do you have a renewable water source on this starting asteroid? You have a cool slush up top, can always do eletrolyzer and use the hydrogen for power
I will use that slush geyser for o2 and cooling I think. There are more geysers out there as well.

Short term yes. Long term they will need double food.

you might want to build some bathrooms before you take too many dupes on, there is an achievement for each dupe having a toilet and a bed
only need 1 toilet total and each has own bed...
