Expecting to get my Ct-950 back within the next two weeks. It started off as new belts, clean and re-calibration and has ended up a complete rebuild. It's been away for a wee while. What's been holding it up is the pinch rollers which I've been informed have arrived today. So, once they have been fitted it will be final adjustments and then 48hr test and then back to me where it will sit next to a Pioneer Sa-8800 amplifier and a Tx-9800 Tuner, both of which were fully serviced last year. The amp was going to be re-capped at that time but wasn't because all the values were really strong, which was really surprising for an amp of that age, so all that was done were the faults that it had.
Fantastic videos! I am using it to do the same to my two CT-920's. They are the Japanese equivalent of the CT-F950. They don't have the pretty, bright blue lights though :( They are a duller blue with red lights at the end. Still gorgeous looking decks though. May I ask where you bought the rubber renue from? Was it Supercheap or another auto store? Thanks!
Hi!! I have one of the same and mine is presenting the following problem: It works perfectly, but after an hour of operation it does not act on the tape rewind command. The LED doesn't light up and it doesn't work, the others all work. I believe it is the ic-501. My doubt is the following: Acquiring a new component will I have to program the component? Since it is programmable. And if so, where will I find the software?
All of those Pioneer decks of that time were beasts
