      @@Sivuhl I bet they did. Sometimes it is just easier to return the money rather than battle at court, solve bad online reviews etc.
      I would guess that they agreed to buy it back like 25% reduced just to get rid of the person. (if they were super super nice and this customer still doesn't deserve it) .

    I absolutely love these videos… I do not love or even like the fact that you have to deal with this bull crap, but I do enjoy the videos. I'd rather everybody be honorable and do the right thing and then you wouldn't have to make such videos. But it definitely does bring out your humor aside with some of your comments… Pure gold!!!

    LMAO! I used to work in a retail store years ago and we had a chap bring a microwave box back for a refund. It was company policy to open all returns and when the person on the checkout opened the box it was full of house bricks! The customer said "Oh I must have picked up the wrong box". Yeah cos this is the one you keep your bricks in!!!!

    Ive been riding and racing for just over 50 yrs now and I have to say for most of that it has been awesome and so have the people I have met but about 20 or so yrs ago I keep finding more and more people saying we need more people in our sport. Riding is not for everyone and now that people think it is they are going to mess this up like they mess everything up...

    I recently bought a Pista GP R from you guys and to ensure I was comfortable with the fit, it took me over a week of wearing it inside the house to finally pull the tag off the chinstrap. And yes I was watching TV as well as STG videos while doing so

    Thank you for the video as usual, I would recommend having a paper inside of each package that goes out to show that the items are not returnable if worn while riding. It may not be immediately obvious to consumers who are new to the industry. I sure didn't realize this was a rule when I started riding. This will save you the hassle of this kind of situation.

    I've enjoyed your videos for years. Thanks for educating me on gear. I appreciate you and your business/hustle/initiative. Thanks for being a voice of reason in the "you can't make this sh*t up" series. The world needs folks like you and videos like this as a check against the irrational/entitled. Somewhere along the line people stopped realize that we're in a society/system that's interconnected. We consumers want stuff, so we need to be reasonable in our expectations of people who sell us that stuff (otherwise there won't be people around to buy specialty stuff from).     People think they are invincible from responsibility and owed everything these days🤦🏽‍♂️ as a motorcyclist, 10 months out of the year...New gear gets the living room treatment for at least an evening before I hit the road. I’m a sneaker head too...same thing, dropping loads of cash on gear and making sure it’s legit first is the consumers responsibility not the vendor. Anyhow, great video! 🤘🏾

Sent it back as it was sent to me, in new condition, with all the tags attached and in original packaging, no issues. Funny how that happens. This lady is fucking insane.     In the military we have to deal with CIF. Every soldier knows the hassle of clearing CIF. If it touches your skin you keep it. ACH/ECH retention straps, gloves, Combat shirts, ACU tops and trousers, and so on.     This shit's amazing. Like you said multiple times, responsibility and accountability. Anyone who rides knows what bug smack on their helmet looks like and the blatant lack of care before return is priceless, couldn't take two seconds to wipe it down. Look dude, people would respect you a lot more if you were just upfront and said "yeah, my chick wore it twice, we split up, so I no longer need it" or just take ownership (literally and figuratively) and realize you're just out that money and try to resell it yourself to recoup what you can.

    Amazon isn't the only retailer who is developing unrealistic return expectations among consumers; Home Depot was PROUD that they refunded a confused elderly man for four car tires. And no, HD never sold car tires. They take back half-empty tubes of caulk, products clearly labeled as coming from a different company (ACE, Craftsman, Lowes, etc.), and lawn equipment that people buy, use for 89 days, and return saying "it didn't meet their expectations".

    When I worked for cycle gear years ago when the helmet policy was one month no hassle exchange or returns if the customer pushed cuz "make the customer happy" was what we were told, i had a guy come in and say he wants to exchange his and he was bringing back a helmet with considerable wear with rash and rock chips all over and he got pissed when I wouldn't do it saying it didn't hold up and when I asked how so he said because it looks like it did after crashing in it. I couldn't believe it and told him I think it did everything it was intended to do, you are alive right now. He literally expected the term "crash helmet" meant a helmet that would fully withstand a crash and look the way it was purchased or was just using that as his argument to bend us over with the policy. I would have taken back any regularly used helmet any day but fully crashed in! I really wanted to beat him with it but wasn't up for instant termination.

      Do you know when Cycle Gear changed the helmet return policy no longer accepting helmets that have been ridden in?

      @@sportbiketrackgear I'm not sure. The experience I mentioned was in 2005 and I left in 2006. At that time it was changed from 30 day no hassle return to exchange only unless the customer really pushed for a return. After leaving i didn't pay much attention since my shopping went 99.9% online. I've noticed by the fliers that it is down to 7 days not ridden in. I'm really surprised they used to have that policy on helmets because of the expense and sensitivity with them. On average selling helmets was a pain in the ass because so many people are not expecting nor used to the way a helmet should properly fit and get turned off by the snug fit of the padding til it breaks in.

    This is clearly not the case in this instance but for example, i fully expected a refund when i bought a pair of brake discs from a MC parts warehouse and after instalment it was found they were warped slightly this was only noticed after about a 100 miles of usage as during the break in period it was hard to get a gauge on how the new discs should've felt. They refunded them no problem and they probably did have to bin them too because getting warped discs from the factory is not really ok and you can't expect the customer to give them back in a "resellable" condition.
