You are awesome. Hope you feel better. This section of London reminds me of the edges of Times Square in NYC. Lots of fun to be had...just keep your eyes open and be aware of scammers.
Studying Shakespeare is not just an English thing. In the Texas schools, I attended, we studied Shakespeare in several grades. I for one loved it! And my husband has been researching his genealogy and recently found out that he is a descendent of William Shakespeare’s family.
Bear in mind that probably half of English descend from every random (fecund) individual living in England 500 years ago - let alone from their family.
My first visit to London I insisted seeing The Ripper Tour. Tour Woman was great and wow she walked out tails off but we all loved it! London has changed immensely just as most big cities have. Cozy up in your Jammie’s with a big bowl of chicken soup and a great movie. Cheers, ox💕🇺🇸
My family watches to see You, Hannah, walking us around London. Getting a bite, a tea, people watching, builds, shopping. We're easy to please because adventuring out with you is always delightful. Film whatever you like. xo
The reason you don't see anything of Borough Market is - there are signs everywhere saying "no photography" and the traders give you nasty looks if you try to take a picture. I know - I tried. So I just don't go there any more.
Hannah be careful! Glad there were lads to help sort him out! It’s like hanging with my London buddy! We did the Ripper tour and will say they were very entertaining. The way people had to live was so sad. Sleeping against ropes!
Thanks Hannah, There's so many videos and comments slagging off London, it's nice to see it presented as in a positive light. London has changed drastically over the years but I still love it ❤
Hasn't changed a iota. Show me one thing that wasn't there a quarter century ago. I'll help you: people claiming that London has changed. We didn't have these people before.
Hannah - 5pm closure saved you. The chocolate on the strawberries turns rock hard and becomes inedible - rip off! Love that part of London, always something interesting to see at Southbank been there many many times. Love your videos x
Definitely one of your best videos! Super shots of the tourist spots. Very helpful for those unfamiliar with London. London has certainly changed over the last three decades...

Hi Hannah! How can you look so good, when you feel so rough? Hope you got some good nosh, a couple of Para's, and cosy back home! You do not deserve to be so harassed like that-you're a real trooper to just carry on! Loved what you said about Shakespeare and being traumatised by studying Macbeth! Back in the day, I saw some obscure Shakespearean play at The National; I was SO bored, my teeth ached! Anyway, I hope you feel better soon! More London tours for me-but I'll still watch, whatever! I went London for a week from Birmingham and let me tell u I was pleasantly surprised by the kindness of ppl and the quality of food. A lot of choice, beautiful architecture, quick transport, surprising value for money-only bad thing was weather
@@jenlin6715 Couldn’t agree more. Way Better than Paris when it comes like you mentioned kindness and generosity. It’s always bad weather there. Cloudy and foggy Well the Sun never rises in French Empire 😆 While the Sun never sets in the British Empire 💪🇬🇧🟥👑🦁🌹💂💂♂️🚢🐎🎡🚂🍵🕰👊 The Frenchies are not helpful
I had a lot more comments and compliments-at one point I was getting freaked out by the kindness because I had my city girl game face on. It’s really about the energy you give out!
That’s good,I get so sick of the Londoners/Southerners are unfriendly and the Northerners are wonderful comments, city people tend to be from everywhere and are more guarded on the surface, but I’ve found generally helpful and kind, but people are often more chatty and approachable the further out you get North or South,it’s just the way of big city life anywhere.😊
There´s a lot of London bashing going on on YT, but I still think the positives outweigh the negatives (but keep your wits about you!). Well done, Hannah !!
Hi Hannah, I personally prefer that part of London in the very early morning, when I feel it has been returned to me. I give it back to the tourists to enjoy for the rest of the day. I wouldn’t say I actually dislike it at anytime, I just don’t like having to share it with too many other people.
I think the Severn is the longest river in England? But I digress. I've done this exact walk so many times, I could probably walk it blindfold! Love it. With regard to fish and chips, I never saw Gravy in a takeaway anywhere in the South East until fairly recently. First time I saw it was in Wales. As for ice cream, £4 is not too bad for a 99, I've been to some seaside towns recently and they were priced between £3 - £3.50. Anyway, enough rambling from me!
@@HannahRicketts Hi Hannah, as has been pointed out you were technically correct as the Severn also flows through Wales! The Severn is longer than the Thames though.
Hi Hannah. Thanks for your videos. great fun and makes me miss UK. Although the place seems to be going through some not so fun changes. I'll wait until things settle before I make a trip. Keep up the good fun and the great vibes. Andrew from South Africa
Definitely Christmas shopping! This walk brought back memories of my visit to London. We stayed in the hotel next to Tower bridge and walked across it at sunset for some lovely pictures. There was a brewery directly across from the hotel…..not very picturesque. London certainly has changed since. Thanks for another nice walk…well done!
I’ve only been able to visit London twice in my life. It was a lifelong dream of mine to live there; at 64, I don’t think it’s going to pan out but if I had the means, believe me, I would live out the rest of my days there. Thank you for the ability to visit vicariously twice a week!❤

Hi again Hannah, a very good “ warning” and lookout for yourselves blog ,as that walk vastly improves after you pass under the Waterloo bridge and Festival Hall . Perhaps a good idea would be to recommend visitors to enter the Southwark catherdral , ( and cafe ) , that is beside the Borough Mkt. too! There are so many good walk tours available now , that have qualified “ Green card” guides to checkout the history of these areas you mentioned, especially good are the walks in the “ City” and business districts , near the Monument tower memorial for the great fire of London . ❤
Hannah, you really know how to do an amazing vlog! I enjoyed it so much! Wow, while tour guides usually spend minutes and hours in one place or another, telling about the local history, you just can manage to walk long distances by foot showing us almost the entire centre of London, and while you talk to us about history, stories and interesting things, you also give us good suggestions on the dos and don´ts. Thank you Hannah for this tour by the river. It's been longer than I care too remember when I last did the riverside walk. I’m a boomer and remember, as a child, when there was Cobb the Butcher at the upper end of Sloane Street (complete with sawdust on the floor) and - over the road - Mac fisheries. Now, it is ultra expensive schickimicki stores with security guards on the door in dark glasses, ear pieces dangling down. In short, real people have been expelled from central London and that’s why I hate my home town and live out in the country now.
LOVE this week’s vlog Hannah. Lots of fun and a great walk along the river. Full of life! We like both X-Mas and other. 🎄Thank you for everything you do! 👍

I was in London this summer with my kids. It was my first time back in 20 years. I’m sorry but Westminster bridge was like a 3rd world country. Scammers galore. It was nasty. All big cities have problems I get it. But. It was nasty. But we loved our trip!! I love London!!!
Your camera took beautiful low light film. Some iconic things in London are a must. I think your vlog is great because you truly do love London (the good the bad and the rude) and that feeling shines through. Looking forward to your Christmas videos.
I remember London when people wore Bowler hats and had a walking umbrella. I also remember the Mary Quaint Shop by Libertys and the Punk Rockers on Kings Road. Daylight saving I was told was so that children didnt go to school in the dark which was dangerous as back in the 70s kids walked to school not many people had cars, I guess children are driven to school now so I guess it doesnt make sense now. Thank you nice to see how London looks now. Its an always changing city i guess. Myself, parents, grandparents and great and great great and great great great grandparents all lived there so when i see your videos it reminds or things they said about places and what they did there. all my gone now including me, nobody left in London now just the memories just about. enjoy it it may not be forever you can live there. x thank you for your videos x
That time was certainly longer than a quarter century ago. Because nothing has changed about London since then. Walking umbrellas are a good thing but the stores simply don't sell them anymore… like shirts with breast pockets. The stores blame customers for not buying these things… but how can customers buy them when the stores don't sell them??? I'd love a walking umbrella ☔ - not for walking but simply because I need the hooked handle to hang it when it's dirty and wet. A simple thing - impossible to buy in Great Britain and Ireland. Now that's a conspiracy!
I think that London is a very beautiful city but every city has it's good and bad sides in it. I enjoyed the tour here of the city and listening to your reactions about it have a wonderful weekend take care and until next time thank you Lady Hannah.☕🙏🇬🇧

Why can’t the peddy cabs be shut down? Sounds like a massive scam and they are all. Over London. Thanks again for showing us around x
They may be legal, but I'm sure the noise they make with their "sound systems" constitute a nuisance!
@@MyRackley Amazing hypocrisy of car owners complaining about the "noise" of rickshaws. 🤡

I believe that the beautiful young lady could hold her own in a fight. I most definitely wouldn't bet against her. 😂
You've never been to Westminster??? What type of "London" have you been to? 😳
You are awesome. Hope you feel better. This section of London reminds me of the edges of Times Square in NYC. Lots of fun to be had...just keep your eyes open and be aware of scammers.
It’s a lot nicer than the edges of Times Square though.
Studying Shakespeare is not just an English thing. In the Texas schools, I attended, we studied Shakespeare in several grades. I for one loved it! And my husband has been researching his genealogy and recently found out that he is a descendent of William Shakespeare’s family.
At least It's bloody better than French. Mozart
Why. ??
Bear in mind that probably half of English descend from every random (fecund) individual living in England 500 years ago - let alone from their family.
We also studied Shakespeare in high school here in Canada

Thanks!
Thanks for the support!!
Hannah be careful! Glad there were lads to help sort him out! It’s like hanging with my London buddy! We did the Ripper tour and will say they were very entertaining. The way people had to live was so sad. Sleeping against ropes!
My favorites are the Christmas shopping and tea service videos!
Thanks Hannah,
There's so many videos and comments slagging off London, it's nice to see it presented as in a positive light.

Definitely one of your best videos! Super shots of the tourist spots. Very helpful for those unfamiliar with London. London has certainly changed over the last three decades...

Happy Friday, Hannah! Bless you, such a knob, who cannot mind their business. Your vlog is amazing. It's nice to see some of the areas my son and I visited back in May of 2023. You are always a pleasure to watch. Mix of Christmas and regular vlog plz. Miss the shops😊 Thank you for this excellent video.
Love sue xxx
You always make me feel like a tourist, without leaving home, we are lucky to have the best London guide... CHEERS!!!
I went London for a week from Birmingham and let me tell u I was pleasantly surprised by the kindness of ppl and the quality of food. A lot of choice, beautiful architecture, quick transport, surprising value for money-only bad thing was weather
And nice accents 😂
@@jenlin6715 Couldn’t agree more. Way Better than Paris when it comes like you mentioned kindness and generosity. It’s always bad weather there. Cloudy and foggy

The Frenchies are not helpful
Yeah right lol
I had a lot more comments and compliments-at one point I was getting freaked out by the kindness because I had my city girl game face on. It’s really about the energy you give out!
That’s good,I get so sick of the Londoners/Southerners are unfriendly and the Northerners are wonderful comments, city people tend to be from everywhere and are more guarded on the surface, but I’ve found generally helpful and kind, but people are often more chatty and approachable the further out you get North or South,it’s just the way of big city life anywhere.😊
Thanks Hannah for another great one, yes the Thames cruise should be on your wish list. The sun from the south of France is on its way.
Hannah 🎉🎉 Friday’s are your day ! Love visiting London 😊. London is a must go to city if you travel overseas from the USA 🇺🇸. Lovely video ❤
Thank you Hannah . You are so tongue in cheek . Love your remarks . You’re a brilliant guide . Your confidence is so awesome.
There´s a lot of London bashing going on on YT, but I still think the positives outweigh the negatives (but keep your wits about you!). Well done, Hannah !!
Spent 10 days in London in September. Walked along the south bank late at night with no issues. London is so beautiful at night.
Hi Hannah, I personally prefer that part of London in the very early morning, when I feel it has been returned to me. I give it back to the tourists to enjoy for the rest of the day. I wouldn’t say I actually dislike it at anytime, I just don’t like having to share it with too many other people.
Very subtly put, John. 🙂
Both types of videos please! Love seeing London through your channel! A big wave from Northern California, USA. 🤗
The Severn is the longest river in the UK, not England, as it meanders through England and Wales. Hannah is correct.
Yeah my bad
That would've been the Anchor brewery (Courage), which closed in 1981.
Always enjoy you weekly excursions Hannah..looking forward to seeing you on Friday..
No Hannah, the river Severn is the longest in England.
That's right, the Thames is the second longest.
The Thames is the dirtiest!
The Severn passes through England and Wales so therefore is the longest river in the UK not in England
My bad!
Why do I keep hearing the east enders theme when I see the map of the thames? Lol
I’ve only been able to visit London twice in my life. It was a lifelong dream of mine to live there; at 64, I don’t think it’s going to pan out but if I had the means, believe me, I would live out the rest of my days there. Thank you for the ability to visit vicariously twice a week!❤

London has been, still is, and will forever be one of the great cities of the world. The troubles they have can be found in New York, Paris, Milan, Rome, Madrid… this list goes on.
It only means that all of those cities are sh!tholes these days, not that London is great.

The troubles start with a word "mass" and end with "migration" from the sh**hole countries
Yet not in Tokyo, Seoul, Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City, Taipei, Shanghai, Budapest, Krakow, Warsaw, Moscow, Leningrad, Ulan Batur, Mexico City etc... lots of other places too, I wonder what the difference could be?
@Jonny-o3l I wonder if it has got something to do with certain colours?

Hi again Hannah, a very good “ warning” and lookout for yourselves blog ,as that walk vastly improves after you pass under the Waterloo bridge and Festival Hall . Perhaps a good idea would be to recommend visitors to enter the Southwark catherdral , ( and cafe ) , that is beside the Borough Mkt. too! There are so many good walk tours available now , that have qualified “ Green card” guides to checkout the history of these areas you mentioned, especially good are the walks in the “ City” and business districts , near the Monument tower memorial for the great fire of London . ❤
I spotted Southwark Cathedral in the background of the video, surprised Hannah didn't mention it.
You're a 1,000,000 out of 10! I always get so impressed. That's why you're the best vlogger ever! I love your channel! Wish you a wonderful weekend! 😘💐🌹🌷💂🇬🇧

I have been to London Bridge. Contrary to popular opinion, it is not falling down. Looking forward to your Christmas vlogs, Hannah!!!

They have to come home in the dark instead!
