Hope you like the video! Leave me a comment and let me know what you think so far!
Great job!! I could see the relief on your face when it started. I know with all the time and money involved, having the engine start was a major speed bump to overcome.
Thanks for watching!
Man, that first start is always so satisfying, great job! Very cool project!
Thanks!
What a GREAT project!!!! And it's exciting to see you get one step closer to enjoying the boat on the water!
I intend to follow your videos exactly and build my own, thank you so much.
Thanks for watching!
Im really excited for you & have been enjoying watching you build this over the past year. Congratulations on this big milestone that you have reached 👏
Thanks!
I guessed 3! Great to see how close you're getting.
Thanks for watching!
this is so cool. I love your videos. I can't wait to see the next video.
Getting closer.
Nice. Good progress.
Im also happy that the engine start at 3attempt only ka-Metal im excited to watch the next video see you there ,hope i have also the tools that you are using for fabricating this is my wish that i could have in my shop at home love lots ka-Metal
In three is awesomesauce after all that! Huge achievement!
Thanks!
Excellent project. Isee why you were dreading the exhaust but it turned out well. One thing, it might be worth mounting the computer on some rubber shock mounts just to try and cushion some of the vibration. These boats take a hammering. Well done....
Thanks!
It runs! How long till it's on the water?
Awesome! - Ed
Thanks for watching!
Awesome! Won't be long now... Congratulations!
Thanks!
Cool to see it running!
Should have gone with a steam powered engine, lol!
Congratulations!
Thanks!
Hey there you know what i like what you're doing men keep it up
Cool, thanks
Do you have a video of hooking up the wiring to prepare it for the start? I've got the same setup and want to ensure everything is plugged in correctly.
No. On this Yamaha all the plugs are different so it's not possible to hook it up wrong.

Great sticktoitiveness, problems like this derail projects.
I want to build one.. have to finish my move fisrt what would you recommend for me to research first?
Make sure you are comfortable welding aluminum first.
I thought 3 at first but had faith in 2
You look like the guy I know when hair is down. My old mind didn't recognize you in the last video.
you want to put some TefGel on those stainless fasteners. they will rot through the muffler in no time
Thanks!
What size tubing did you use for the exhaust?
The Yamaha water box had 80mm pipe coming out of it, so that's what I used for the rest. Bought an 80mm kit off ebay.
Thank you Bob. I'm building a buccaneer with the exact same powerplant.
That counts as a start on the first try. Nobody else would have taken their finger off the button that soon. Also, a shot of ether would be very common and would have worked perfectly.
Not sure if holding the button down does anything, you may be right. If you just give a a slight press, the starter will run for about 5 seconds (with no start). I thought it would try for 5 seconds but apparently I was wrong. Thanks for watching!

I guess i could name it Bottom Feeder, lol.
