I have a '22 Ram Rebel Hemi, 3.92. I recently took a 6000 round trip out west sightseeing and camping in Idaho. I burn 89 or 91 octane all the time. During the trip, no exaggeration, I averaged 18.6 MPG! I'm getting 15-18MPG around town. I'm not an aggressive driver but do get on it from time to time. Another thing I noticed, out west, most of the gas is ethanol free. I ran Sinclair 91 octane. I don't know if that had anything to do with it or not. Bill from Linglestown Pennsylvania
Use E85 $2.99 a gallon. My Ram 3.8 pings even with E85 but has a lot more power. Gas mileage is very bad per computer 12 mpg. On regular it did 17 mpg. The Pentastar is notorious for valve ping and then rocker destruction needing the heads to be rebuilt.
@412hwc those high payloads are not with a v8 or 4 wheel drive and we are talking over 500lb difference on a 1500. If the pentastar were spooled like the Ford v6 we would be talking a lot more power over a v8 as well. I'm sure the higher compression would eliminate the fuel and mileage issues which you are having.

I get 18.8 mpg om the highway 2010 ram
When I visit family in the flat lands I get 17mpg highway but when I’m back in the hills of pa it drops back down
Nice video, for me the issue is the trade off between cheaper gas or healthier engine
Lmao I say the same thing when I’m filling up my Ram 4.7l 😂😂
