      Mix A for the drums, Mix B for the guitars. There's something special goin on w/ mix b's guitars. Like i think i hear a double track w/ an amp set up w/ low gain to hear more attack, or is that the attack from the bass?

    I gotta go with Mix B on this one. It sounds so much fuller/rounder of a tone. On the flip side, Mix A was a more balanced mix with the drums. But for guitar tone, Mix B, 100%.

    Mix A has much better clarity to me, although it feels a bit crunchy and could do with more gain. Mix B is kinda muffled and overly mid-heavy, but has a better gain level. I'd go with Mix A personally.

    Both reamped guitars sound good. I prefer the guitar (s) on Mix B, to me it sounds far more accentuated. Also the crappy drums on Mix A begin to disturb me... I think Mix B is the drums and the guitar Mix done by Glenn. It simply makes more sense to me, I believe I can hear a direction, where this mix heads to. Oh that will be funny if I am completely wrong 😱😂

I like the focus of that mix however i really dig the slappiness of the bass of mix B in this video.. Again both mixes are fun and I'd love to give it a shot at mixing these instruments! • @godofspacetime333
    @godofspacetime333 Год назад

    Okay so here’s where you hear the decisions of the drum mix really affecting the moves for everything else. I liked the drum mix “Mix A” on the last video, which is now mix B on this one, but I think the fact that they were so up front and aggressive necessitated mixing the guitars and bass similarly and the end result is not good at all in my opinion. The more natural sound of drum mix “Mix B” (now mix A) allowed for much smoother guitars that could sit back a little further and blend better in the mix without having to fight the drums for space.
    It’s very eye-opening to me. Taken on their own the drums sounded a little better one way, but it forced some decisions in the guitars and bass that I really don’t like. And the more natural sounding drum mix that at first sounded weak now leaves room for a much more pleasing guitar and bass tone that makes the entire mix sound much better and actually makes me like the drums more now. It’s a lot to take in and think about, and it’s definitely something I’ll be keeping in mind the next time I’m mixing a song.

    I think that maybe the guitar tone is better on mix A, because mix B sounds like it's relying a little more on the other instruments in the mix for presence and overall top end. Kinda hard to tell what the guitar sound really is. B does sound like a better, or at least more top ended mix, or closer to what we normally hear anyway, but I also didn't really like the spitty bass that seemed like it often would peak and sound out of place. It covered up the guitar too much when it did that. It sounded as if Mix A would be better if mastered, but Mix B sounds a little better right now.

    Mix B just doesn't have enough gain on the guitars for my taste. too marshall-y sounding. I do like that i can hear a clanky bass in mix b that sounds great though. ultimately, i'd like to hear A's guitars, with B's bass and drums.
    (B's Drums are a bit basic, and i would like to hear just a little more of the natural drum sound coming through, but i still think it works better overall than A's which are just a bit too woofy and loose for this track).
    i was definitely shaking my head when the lewitt guys were putting that 640 on the guitar cabinet. i've tried the same with mine. it doesn't work. possibly the worst guitar cabinet mic ever. lol. great kick mic though. definitely my go-to. I haven't tried the 640 on a bass guitar cab yet. but i'd guess it'd be pretty bad.

    I found mix A a lot clearer and tight, but the leads on B were pretty delicious

    I’m going to go with mix A.

    Guitars on A by a little bit. They sit better in the mix, though the mix itself is narrower. I like the spacing and the drums better in B but the really strong midrange in the guitar lost me a bit.

    I'm thinking mix B might be just a touch better... I could hear the guitar speaking more clearly in mix B
