If you add a vaccuum breaker between pump and hose, matching threads, wont siphon back down the well if the hose stays connected. available about every plumbing shop 4 months -maybe already done,
Hi. I know nothing about plumbing but we just had a hurricane come through NC and I lost power therefore water for 8 days. I had rain barrels full but I decided I needed to get water out without electricity. My well is 400 ft. That Bison pump is attached to what? How does this work below ground and what is needed. How deep was your well? Thanks for the help guys!
Wow! Great comment by the way. I hope you guys are recovering well! The bison pump is actually at the bottom of a 100ft pipe with a stainless steel rod running all the way up to the handle you see in this video. If you watch my installation video it goes into depth about this. Check it out or go to the bison website for pictures and reviews. When we lose power it's great to be able to still get our water. I should say it's CRITICAL to be able to get to our water. The company is in Conway Arkansas btw, not too far from you
Put a cap at the end and water won’t go down. When you are done. So you won’t need to do several pumps to get water up. I’m 13 but that’s basic physics. :) also don’t drink the water from the well without checking it up. Yea it looks clean but you have no idea what micro organisms are there and so on. Boil it at least.
We've been drinking from this well for 20 years and have had multiple water tests. It's cleaner than your tap water. This pump is SPECIFICALLY designed to drain back underground after every use so you don't damage it in freezing temperatures. It's not a flaw, it's a feature.
I’ve never been a subscriber to this channel, and suddenly this morning I was. He has over 300k subscribers but 22 likes and 7 comments in 5 hours. Looks like this guy got some Russians to hack and fill up his subscriber count.
Wow, you really seem to give Russians an awful lot more credit than they deserve. Most of my videos are shorts so my views and subscribers come from the shorts feed, which unfortunately does not translate to a lot of views for the long form videos, except for the few sunscribers who click their notifications when we post the videos.
Check out my shorts, I get millions of views on there. Unfortunately shorts traffic doesn't help a whole lot with getting views on long form videos. :(

Good clean water. Nice welds and well designed pump. If the well is deep enough and the casing is good then you should get nice clean healthy water.
I dig it! Those welds do look very professional
Super clean.
Very!

It's a beautiful pump.
I agree.
Where is installation video?
Just search follow the compass north bison pump
Put a black tarp on that tank for a while and I bet it would warm it up a bit!
That's a good idea!
Did he say how deep the well is?
It's 20 ft to the water but I put the pump under 76 feet of water so it's about 100ft down. I used 12 sections of 8ft pipe. Yes, this is my channel.
@travissiegwart8276 Thanks!

How deep?
I went 100ft down after hitting water at 20ft.
I think I'm one of the first viewers!
Yes you are!

It's highly suspicious indeed, I don't know about this gentleman 🧐
@@Boycott_Wendys SMH.
Don't plasmacut it, just pour some concrete around ad make it smooth. Way easier, isn't it?
Maybe.
400k subs but averaging < 1000 views per vid. Seems a bit suspicious imo.

Indeed it's suspicious, he's probably ccp or a Putin puppet 🧐
