They perfectly translated zeb into live action
Honestly, at first I was shocked because it's a Lasat, and I after the purrgils in EP 1 I didn't think there would be another rebel drop, but I rewatched his scene at least 5 times and I don't think they could have made him any more realistic. It didn't really have any uncanny Valley effect, it was just like "Holy shit look at him!"

The line “I like those odds” is a callback to Din’s own line to the stormtroopers in season 1.
I took it as a ham solo reference with his never tell me the odds but idk

Yeah, this is what I thought, more of a callback to Din in S1 than a play on Han Solo's line.
As the Armorer said “Beskar is for Defense purposes” and the fact that it exists puts Mandalorians in danger, the only person so far that has made weapons from Beskar has been tied to Thrawn, and Mod Gideon would be the one who has the most of it since he was in charge over Mandalore during the Purge….
Not all Mandalorians follow the coverts way tho. It could totally be Gideon's Pre Order but it could also be angry Mandos.
@dustinjones7458 there isn't one recorded Mandalorian who has used beskar for anything other than defense.

Actually the whistling birds are offensive. Homing bullets basically. I’d call that an offensive weapon. He’s used them multiple times.

The Mandalorian singlehandedly revived Star Wars, and has the whole world in its vice grips each time it airs.
Creative projects make a much bigger impact than some people think.
I loved this episode it showing The Mandalorians actual skill and power,it also perfectly set up the future and left with an actual interesting cliffhanger and I also think they got zeb to look the best they could as a puppet just wouldn’t be right
This brought me back to the Clone Wars siege of mandalore, glad to see the mandalorians still kicking ass after the loss of their world
I think the Horned Mandalorians that worked for Maul will have a secret ties to the Armorer.
@@SidewaysBurnouts ehh since mauls boys are basically connected to the empire, (and you see imperial mandalorians as well(the ones with white armor)and the empire blew up mandalore, I heavily doubt it, but we may see them more who knows
The way Zeb quickly turns his head to talk was so real looking, I had to look twice as Thought it was a practical effect and not CGI!
Paul Sun-Hyung Lee made his own flight jacket for his audition. They loved it and let him wear it!

@@seanroberts4011 ummm you do realize he fell from high above ground with a cart hurled at him chances are his body parts flew everywhere and just grabbed the googles. I think he is dead
@@JuanGonzalez-vn7zg idk they “killed him off” right after introducing a love interest for him. And because of the plot it’s not entirely unlikely for him to be alive
The camouflage on the pirate cruiser is a naval dazzle pattern. lots of star wars aesthetic pulls inspiration from ww1 and ww2, but the purpose of dazzle camo at the time wasn't to make the ship more difficult to see per se, but to make it more difficult to determine the precise silhouette, heading, and direction of motion of a shup in order to make it harder to dial in torpedoes and naval artillery.

I love how Bo and Mando where sitting very close next to each other during Pazs speech and that there signets, the Mudhorn and Nightowl, where touching and facing each other. Maybe hinting that one of them will will join the others clan (and Grogu final gets a Mum)

One thing I really appreciate about the Mandalorians is how trusting they are of one another, and as long as they walk The Way, then they all just believe one another. So, when the armourer trusts Bo, it is simply the Way.
When Mando says "I like those odds." It's a call back to when he said it in the first season in the episode where he rescues Grogu and uses his wrist mini rockets for the first time
Nobody mentioned that Gorian Shard, especially because of his beard, is very similar to Le Chuck, the evil Pirate from Monkey Island, the classic computer RPG series produced by… Lucas Arts!

I agree that the beskar alloy is a setup right out of the playbook of Thrawn.
They also added a "pirate accordion" concertina under the intro theme... subtle touch.

I felt that the Rebel Air base on the island resembled an Army Air Base in the Pacific during World Warm II.
I'm sure that was their intention.

The Armorer doesn't have to be Satine to be Bo Katan's sister. They must have another sibling as Corkie calls them both Aunt so he must be the child of a 3rd Kryze sibling that we haven't been introduced to yet.
Or Sabine Wren, or Sabine's mother.

With Zeb making a cameo,(which by the way I was freaking out over because I loved Rebels!), not only does this hint the return of Thrawn but also Ezra! We’re so close to getting answer until the Ashoka Series releases this year!
During the scene where the pirates were bombing the town, and all the towns people were running through the gates, one character was carrying the Hamilton ice cream maker that holds beskar
It's for Beskar or basically anything like credits. Plus they love to have that in every season😂😂 it's just an Easter egg
I love Star Wars Rebels. Zeb is one of my favourites and I was wondering if they would bring him into live action as I thought it would be a bit difficult. But they have. And he is glorious. Can’t believe they made him real.

I think that Thrawn would never set up a framing attempt like leaving beskar behind. He would know that the Mandalorians don't leave it behind and would use something else. If they try to go for the oh thrawn did it then that would make me upset because at his core he can't ignore those kinds of details
He’s banking on others not looking into detail, simply seeing the evidence and pointing to a likely culprit without thinking it through.
Manipulation tactics is 100% Thrawn

@@ObsessiveGeek Nope. Canon Thrawn doesn't underestimate any of his enemies. Only reason he would leave such an obvious clue is if it's part of a bigger trap or scheme where his opponents need to target the Mandalorians. Otherwise, this is out of character.

Legends isn't considered canon.
@@ObsessiveGeek Thrawn is in Star Wars Rebels, which is canon. And Thrawn had a 6 novel series, which is also canon. It released a couple years ago. Legends Thrawn is not canon. However, the original author: Timothy Zahn has returned to write the 6 canon books and he made sure not to change his personality. He even got to write 3 canon books about the Chiss Ascendancy. If you still don't believe me you can google it yourself, of course. The books and Star Wars Rebels are Disney canon
I thought the same thing as Voss during the conversation between Bo and the Armorer. Something about the way the Armorer talked to Bo really reminded me of Satine. I almost thought they were going to take of their helmet too and reveal them to be Satine, or some long lost family member lmao

I must admit, I had the same thought.
It feels suspiciously like when Death Watch teamed up with Maul to be the “saviors” of Mandalore.
In Rebels there was a faction of Mandalorians loyal to the Empire, the Imperial Supercommandos lead by Gar Saxon.
We know his tribe worshiped the Dark Saber as they also followed Maul when he had it so makes sense they would be loyal to Moff Gideon and maybe busted him out.
I thought that maybe, like Darth Maul, Moff Gideon now had some Mandalorian following, considering he had the dark saber for quite some time. And now uniting the clans would be more difficult for Bo. Could it be?

Watching Garazeb fight a Zygerian Slaver in live action would be so awesome!!! So excited to see the Ghost crew make their appearance. The story arcs of the Clone Wars and Rebels are the greatest!!! I'm low key hoping they do a plot where they use the World Between Worlds, maybe Ahsoka also uses it to save Ezra? 😅

I say the Beskaar might been a hint at BESKAR BUILT DEATH TROOPERS. Where I bet that really be a neat little easter egg to Empire using Mando armor as a base for the stormtrooper look.
Also I find it just interesting that the pirate ship is using projectile weaponry, which is something you don’t really see in Star Wars since it was all but outlawed even before the Phantom Menace
Absolutely loved seeing a live action Mandalorian strike team.
Mof Gideon wants the dark saber back, and he will have it from Din Djarin so Bo can take it from him rightfully and become the true leader of the mandolorians.
The zeb effects are some of the best ever
After seeing how amazing Zeb looked I have high hopes for the rest of the cast of Ahsoka

The majority of viewers have no idea who Zeb is.
Flight suit color does not identify squadrons. Gold and Red Squadrons wore orange, Blade Squadron wore blue. Etc. Nor was Blue Squadron decommissioned after Scarif; they were at Endor, where they were a mix of A-wings and B-wings. Not sure where some of this info comes from.
The paint job on the Corsair is reminiscent of the 'dazzle' paint jobs of ww2.
Corsair is another word for privateer or pirate. It’s not necessarily a reference to Legends.

When he said "why should we fight and lay our lives down?" I was thinking you're freaking mandalorians fighting anybody and everything is your only job. Then "because we're mandalorians!" I was like yeeeaahhhh!!!
I think once we get to see Mando im the droid bar, he will gain the chip needed to reboot and finish IG.
I called it a few episodes ago saying that the Mandalorians would end up fighting pirates 8n the streets of navarro..
I think we will see a flashback next episode of the dark troopers that didn't get murdered by Luke save the Moff...

I think the odds quote was more of a reference to Din saying the same thing to the Stormtroopers in Chapter 1.
Since the beskar appears to be broken off, if it was mandalorians responsible for the attack, they must have had very impure armor, and a love for the empire. I think it could possibly be members of clan Saxon

Love the channel! I just want to say that I do believe that the armorer genuinely believes in Boca tan. In a previous episode, Din and a Paz have this conversation about they only speak when they know. So I take this, as when they speak of a thing they know the thing they have seen the thing.
I wouldn’t discount the breakout being done by Mandalorians. Remember that Gar Saxon was a member of house Vizsla and he did work for the Empire.
Vizsla has always been shady. I wouldn’t be surprised if big blue was part of the job.
