Search for woman who jumped in Stanislaus County river to save her daughter continues

  • Crews have resumed their search for a 30-year-old woman who disappeared after jumping in a river to save her daughter, the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office said. The woman, identified Friday as Brenda Duran, was in the Fisherman's Bend Mobile Home Park in the Hills Ferry area when she disappeared. The sheriff's office said it got a report around 6:30 p.m. Thursday of several people in the water drowning, including children.
