Since this was filmed, it certainly appears that a lot of their cameras have been sold. It looks like they do a fantastic renovation on their cameras. Buying a renovated camera is the way to go. A lot of cameras sold on Craigslist, Ebay, ect are not working or have hidden flaws that won't show up until you're first roll of film is developed.. Glad to see that there are some people that are learning this dying craft. In fact, my last camera repairman died, my current repairman is 78. I just went through my collection to get my favorite cameras serviced. I am afraid he will retire or die.
I have a nice small collection, including one of the original Kodak Brownie cameras, circa 1900. It was in a box I bought for the small sum of $10 at a garage sale, that included several other antique cameras. A sort of barn find of cameras. Some are still in amazing condition. It's always puts a big smile on my face when I see them.
Man, those boxes of lenses that they don’t sell online is a shame... they could sell them online as a mystery box of lenses, 3 or 4 random lenses in a box, For people like us who love finding weird lenses and do whatever it takes to stick them on our camera, just to see what happens. Great video 👍
Noi voi ei taas, nääs! Teillä on tosi hienot hyllyt...vieläkö noita oikeasti tehdään? Voiko teitä tukea johonkin tilille? Ja hei mulla on Mamiya 645 joka on rikki mutta linssit ei o. Voiko ne lähettää teille?
The Canon F-1. Best pro camera at the time. Every F-1 I've seen so far in camera shows have been pretty much beat up and abused as you can see from this video. 6:46
The Hydraulic Press Channel folks are also in Tampere. As much as I love them squishing stuff, I don't think I'd want to see old cameras or lenses being flattened... But swirly photos taken with weird lenses of weird stuff being squashed would be cool!
LOL--You must have been in absolute heaven Mathieu!! I can't wait to see what you found and what you will do....I am so torn between my jealousy and my excitement for what is coming next!!
7:28 Wow, there's a Brownie style pinhole camera between the Rolleiflex and the Agfa/Balda/Voigtlander/Certo/whatever 6x6. I guess they'll repair ANYTHING.
In this age of digital photography and cell phone cams, it is nice to see someone preserving a great technological history which will soon be totally gone.

What a wonderful place 😍 I am just starting with analog cameras and film photography, don't know much yet but this place looks like heaven on Earth. Would love to visit it!
Whaaat? Just had a quick look and could notice right away that a simple ebay search would definitely bring one further in terms of prices. But yeah, it's still a nice shop anyway.
@@kaehmper 90 per cent of the time I buy from real shops that also sell their articles on there. Where I live there are luckily many of them. This always gives me the right to send stuff back and sometimes even offers me a warranty for 12 months. I rarely place a bid on articles sold by private sellers and overall the prices still have been much more "normal" and realistic in my experience than what I could see on their website, for example. I mean, sure, if people have the money for it... But with film photography I'd definitely recommend looking quite a bit around before deciding to really go for something. Often I see people asking for/paying double or even three times more than what's fair and I can't really see why, because it simply doesn't have to be like that. Film photography is precious in many ways but overpriced is still overpriced, not matter how big our passion is.
I just bought Canon EOS 50E from them, maybe the exact one you can see at 8:36 ?? Who knows, maybe :) Thank you for making this video, I was looking to buy a good film camera for a long time but I couldn't find any reputable source nearby!
To keep ISO (Older guys used to call it ASA) same as manufactured date. In other words, to freeze its aging process. Don't forget, films are chemicals on the gelatin and do age, deteriorate. If you keep them on the room temperature, when and if used, passed the expiry date, you need to use higher ISO. By how much? You need to run a test roll. That is if you have adequate stock of that old films otherwise your guess cold be as good as mine or may be not!! ( ; -)
Dear UbiquitousUK, we regret to inform you that, after your tragic discovery of kamerastore.com, your bank account was declared dead at 8:19 this morning. Our sympathies for your loss.

I've tried to find a place like this for years. Turns out it's an hour's drive from my home.
I'm glad, there are stores like Camera Rescue who can restore vintage and rare cameras.
Now Finland is on my bucket list purely because of this store.
Have you made it yet?

I just clicked "like" after watching the first 20 seconds of the film. This is a record. Now I have one more good reason to travel to Finland.
could literally spend an eternity there, working in a small camera shop lets me see the odd bits like this but that place is the dream!
My ancestors came to the US from Finland in the mid 1800s. Now I have two reasons to visit!
That feeling of a fat kid in a candy store :)
Yummy
Tell me about it! :-)
So basically you went to heaven for camera nerds.
Thanks for visiting! I think I am just as excited as everyone else to see the lens test videos!
@camerarescue, Hi Juho, what lens is that @4:34 please?

This is an amazing place. I was a classically trained camera repair technician for over 40 years . I started in 1974
On en veut plus, j'éprouve un plaisir coupable à regarder ces rayonnages pleins d'histoire
This is an amazing project.Keep these beauties alive !
What was really twisted about this video was seeing cameras I'd either shot with, or am shooting with right now. Well done!
Piece of art those old cameras with bit of soul in them 😊. Anamorphic lens should be in France now😉
Now I want to go to Finland!!!
Noi voi ei taas, nääs! Teillä on tosi hienot hyllyt...vieläkö noita oikeasti tehdään?

So looking forward to the upcoming lens reviews. Those panoramic cameras are wild!
That heart sticker on Canon :D Juuuuuu
I want that purple Pentax lens. I don't need to know anything about it, I just want.
:-) And however it's a wonderful lens also called « Wonder Plastic » ; it's the DA 35mm f/2.4 for Pentax APS-C reflex.
I want the massive lens
Your channel is underrated. It deserves more subs
