“a few artifacts that the final product wont have” the final product is one huge artifact, that test shot was the best shot taken on one instant lmao
We need someone to be making peel apart film, again. Someone willing to make it on a commercial basis. Otherwise, once all this old film stock runs out, that's it.
Honestly I’m surprised there isn’t a diy way to make this stuff.
Ilford 9x12 black and white film fits perfectly into an FP-100C cartridge. And most land cameras can select ISO 150 which is pretty close to Ilford’s 125 iso film.
The way they get a print onto that paper, and to store the chemicals in the pods seem like a very difficult thing to do. But again I could see it being possible to recreate by amateur photographers if someone was willing to create a recipe and give us a step by step guide.
thank you so much for featuring our humble packfilm savior selves!
Thanks to you for your work
SUPERSENSE Do you have a back or film (Fuji FP-100C equivalent) for Mamiya RZ67?
to bring this film to the masses so that we may partake of it's beauty and history is an epic chapter in the annals of instant film
I love the fuji fp100c so much, I still have 10 boxes left on my fridge 😌
That looks far better than the I-Type film, that's for sure.
OH MY GOD YEEEEEESSSSS! I bought a polaroid big swinger 3000 last year for 2 bucks, got home and discovered I couldn't even use it. It had Everyready batteries with 50s wraps on them, it hasn't been used once this century and I want to be the person to use it! I'm so excited!
But you can use Fuji FP-100c in the big swinger...
@@kurdishanimeclub4300 True, but very hard to find. I'd rather not buy 5 year expired film if they're making new stock hah!
Having working old Polaroid stock is good but what happens when they all run out
That's all folks...
exactly. price point is too high. i admire what these guys are doing, but i rather continue to stock pile fp100c
The P7 ONE INSTANT edition is just the very first material we plan to load our new paper cartridges with. For the future, we have several super promising potential partners who will supply us with breathtaking photo-sensitive materials.
SUPERSENSE alright but it doesn’t change the fact that it’s so much cheaper to shoot fp-100c. I do truely admire the people at supersence but as a 16 yo getting a cheaper and very reliable product would always be my preferred option
@@burntoutelectronics totally get your point :) and yes, One Instant is truly expensive. But not because we finally want to purchase this kinky car we have been dreaming of, but because it is truly really expensive to produce it. Because each and every piece and component is practically made by hand. But you have our word that we will reduce the price whenever we can carefully optimise production to reduce our costs.
Man, I love your series with photographers. Please keep up the good work!
Bravo guys!! I'm so excited about this film! I'm a big user of FP-100C and was super bummed when they discontinued it. i love the look of your film. Will be def buying some when my stash of 100c is done. Thank you for taking up this great project. Clearly people are loving you for this and congrats on the success!
I never knew peel apart film existed until today ..amazing how you learn something new
I wonder what it would take to produce this film totally from scratch
Love the smart brains that bring back the happy light of life on what deserves to have a second chance or simply a recovery from our neglect or ignorance. Well, after all, isn't that why we all Love Mathieu Stern and his channel or why else we are here and watching these miracles. More power to all of you.
BTW if you are to pick up 2 or 3 polaroids off the flea market, can you please name those models (The one that is most reliable or known to be backed by the great lens or engineering)?
So amazing. Thanks for your dedication and all the hard work.
Glad you enjoy it!
So happy I discovered this! I thought this film type was gone, THANK YOU!!
I am still thinking why Chinese haven't tapped into this yet
I am thinking too lol
probs the guys are just busy faffing about with developing newer tech
Because this takes effort and skill, which the Chinese lack.
Kevin Song
If they do do it it will cost about 10% of its current price with free delivery from China just like their others goods I think they should do 35mm film color bnw and slides to bring back the film era
and @@kurdishanimeclub4300 what effort and skill have you put into your life?
@@Jasperi An amount more than any Chinese that's for damn sure kid.
oooo now I can use my old passport camera again!
very interesting video. Love this stuff.
Thanks a lot for sharing !!
YEEEESSSSSS!!!!!! I thought it was gone!! When Fuji discontinued pack film, it was BS. People still use it!
How exciting. I got rid of all my Polaroid 600SE cameras. :-( But I know I have my RB67 Polaroid back and may have a 405 back for my 4x5.
Bill Vahrenkamp there’s a new instax film back you can buy for your RB
I want that film for my Mamiya RB67 Polaroid back!
Sun and D-970 then buy it but the quality is bad
You'll only get a small part of the image exposed with a Mamiya RB
Look at Coyote Camera Works, They are selling a RB67 Instax Back that can fit the whole 10 shot cartidges.
Much better than this 20x24 surplus that needs a dark room each shot with doubtfull results.
The format is square and slightly smaller tho ( but on a RB you couldnt use the real estate of a real pola anyway, even with the pola back)
@@Zetaphotography I like very much the artistic look of it but yeah your mileage might differ
yo i am so pumped ab this!!! i bought a Polaroid land camera ab 3 months ago and was saddened that the film wasn’t made anymore but, this gives me hope!
Beautiful! Love the way photographs looks.. Amazing!
I love this stuff, and these awesome people for what they do
I was looking for this exact peel-apart instant film paper this morning! I believe the polaroid print paper work the same way except they are factory made and very costly.
Nice video. I would love to do family portraits with a 20x24. That would slay in the living room! You always show interesting stuff.
every time I hear about some film resurrection project with old stock or buckshot approach to figuring out chemistry, I’m absolutely crushed that it means the company had not kept documentation around.
Yap, it is hard to figure out new ways and new concepts :)
In the pakfilm case we had to do so because it was impossible to get access to the packfilm production machines by Fuji (despite all efforts which you can re-read here, if you're interested: the.supersense.com/blogs/news/tagged/savepackfilm?page=2 )
In the Polaroid case, documentation would not have been the problem, but updated environment and health restrictions that made the further usage of original recipe components impossible...
... but up until now, we've luckily always found ways for successful resurrection :)
100% d'accord
Can someone please come up with a sustainable pack film? Using 20x24 surplus has been done to death and will eventually be impossible
Just shoot digitally and don't print at all.
zaxmaxlax wow you’re fun
The P7 ONE INSTANT edition is just the very first material we plan to load our new paper cartridges with. For future editions we have several promising potential partners who will supply us with further breathtaking photo-sensitive materials.
These guys are truly heroes. Unfortunately I've discovered pack film only last year ....
Speaking of the 20X24" Polaroid, I recall reading an article about it in a photography magazine of the 1980's (?). This camera was set up to photograph Las Vegas showgirls between shows. These seen-everything-under-the-sun stage performers found the large Polaroid prints a hit! As for me, I'd welcome a chance to use Ye Olde Polaroid 110B-adapted-to-take-Pack-Film camera again.;)
YES, now I can shoot the Polaroid Land camera 450 that I have had forever in a day.
If you do go into mass production, will the cost per shot eventually come down? Will packs eventually be made available that can hold more than one exposure at a time? Or will it always be one exposure per pack?
Very cool nicely done!
just bought 6 shots! can't wait to try this with my polaroid 600se!
Are there 8 exposures in your new system? In the old days, we HAD TO CLEAN the rollers.....every time we finished a pack. The chemicals would leak out on both sides of the rollers. If you did nt clean the rolls, all the time, the chemicals would become CAKE hard, and you would not get an even run/pull. Remember the battery for your camera is almost imposable to get. Look for the Polaroid model...195. It has a ZEISS RANGE FINDER, and used s the TOMIKA lens. It also works WITH OUT A BATTER, as it is a LEAF SHUTTER.
YES WE NEED THIS!!! I am so tired of spending big bucks on expired film :(
this wont be any cheaper.
I wish Doc tackled 8x10 and 559 type films
Pretty good, pretty ready! I cannot wait to get my one soon!
I would love to get some developer pods for B&W film and try replacing the dead ones in some roll film. Would be really amazing if it worked, but I wouldn’t have anywhere to get the pods from. Because roll film is just peel apart film in a slightly different format, isn’t it. It uses the same exact technology.
There's nothing like peeling apart a polaroid, I remember when I was a kid finding some of those cameras in the thrift still full of film.
Wow, keep doing what your doing! Love the passion!
I love the look. Wow
And an old Durst enlarger!
Awesome!!! Been waiting for this for ever!!
The darkroom is magnificent and the project is so cool!
This is awesome. Love this conscept!
It’s great to see people still using actual film instead of digital filters. I honestly prefer good quality film over digital any day
What about good quality digital? I'd take a 100 megapixel Phase One or Hasselblad medium format digital camera over any kind of film without hesitation.
Your doing great work! Keep up the great work!
Ohhh, can't wait for my One Instant Packs. :D
>.< I still have two packs of film in the fridge. Type 669 and 665. Would be neat to find these in production again.
Yay my packfilm camera could be put to use now
Excellent reportage, once again. 👏👍
Love this!
No idea they stopped making this film
Omg yes!!! I miss using my lan cameras.
So cool! Thanks for doing this!
Thanks for this video! I love instant film.
Best of success to you!
Why not have a set of pictures in this paper cartridge? Would be nice 🙂
id love to use pack film at least once
Do we have a negative as well?
Amazing!
Do you guys plan to make other formats?
It would be a killer if you'd make something compatible with the polaroid 545i for 4x5 inches large format cameras :-)
Miss that so much!
I usually insert small photo paper sheets in my rz67 back and develop it after shot. My lil bw "instants" XD)
Damn, I love films!
Neat, I like. Wish I started on film
Bravo 👏
4:32 Made my day Mat
YES
Brilliant.
Nice
So based off of using old polaroid stock this is not a long term solution? I mean what happens when you run through that stock?
Polaroid is for sure a limited solution.
im late to the party, but would this work on the Fuji FP-1
So when they run out of Fujifilms remaining stock its officially over forever?
fuji stopped production in 2016 but the stuff is still in cirkulation. supersense is for now using old frozen polaroid p7 stock from polaroid (from the 20x24 studio). as i understand it the will be trying to make their own stock ala new55. also it seems that the new55 and the supersense websites have merged so i guess they are aware of each other
Neat seems fun
Is there any alternatives for peel off film? Please. One instant is not available in my country.
Hello
Please how and where can I found on Paris those films for my polaroïd 600 SE and others old Cameras ?
Thanks a lot
Dude, I want a giant Polaroid!
awesome job, ive been looking for a replacement for my RZ67proii. I have noticed from your test shots that there is a quality loss compared to fp100. Is this due to the camera you used or the film? my RZ with FP100 produces a much sharper image than anything i have seen.
the camera and the film were from Supersense, i can't say if the camera was working properly or not, but it's still a pretty great quality for artistic projects.
I have party flash 2 instant camera. How can I get the films
Amazing 👌🏼
How can I get some???
This will be a limited run?
This is the second time im this early lmao
Love your vids too
lol had to flex with the nvgs
will this work with RB67 polaroid backs?
4:34
I always wondered what exactly to say to a French audience, should I literally say cheese or what?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
They should try to make their own formula for this instead of repackaging it.
We'd love to but for various reasons we just can't do that (facilities, finances, etc) that's why we're collaborating with several super promising potential partners who will supply us with breathtaking photo-sensitive materials for future One Instant editions.
@@supersense695 I hope someday pack film can be brought back entirely.
@@supersense695 try everything. Thank you
wish the camera was in a twin reflex look
I'm worried about stock running out. Hopefully these lads would help find a solution before the time comes!
The P7 ONE INSTANT edition is just the very first material we plan to load our new paper cartridges with. For the future, we have several super promising potential partners who will supply us with breathtaking photo-sensitive materials.
Im not into film but damn that looks cool ;)
everyone going to film again on RUclips
WHOA WHOA WHOA - STOP THE BUS - did you just say that I can use the Fuji pola back for my Fuji GX680III ) and a dozen or so PA-45's? Did you say that? Is that what I heard? Nooooooo surely not?
No seriously is that t true?
No seriously is that t true?
How long will this supply last for?
The P7 ONE INSTANT edition is the very first material we plan to load our new paper cartridges with, and it will see a bath of 50.000 cartridges. For our next editions we have several super promising potential partners who will supply us with breathtaking photo-sensitive materials for the very near future.
There's a video on how to shoot 8x10 polaroid. If Mathieu don't mind and anyone interested, I can post a link to it.
👍👏👏👏😃
Not to hate I’m happy with all their doing but why do they all keep saying no more old “complicated” film pack setup now we have a easy affordable system but it’s bad because it’s one photo at a time rather than putting in one pack and having ten shots with it .. don’t get the point if them making it seeem like photographers want to waste more time opening the camera to change the pack every time ...
I stop when fuji announced that they no longer produce peel apart film. The same goes for analogue cameras. With companies moving towards sustainability the future seems bleak for film photography. It too expensive to invest time and money in this. This remain in the history books. Sad but truth hurts.
Nice but expensive.
Fromage ! :)
