      A healthy amount of anxiety is good. It means you understand the gravity of your position. I’m a Paramedic starting my Nursing journey to become a CRNA, and I had the same feeling when I jumped from EMT to Paramedic. Ultimately a quality program will teach you all the skills and knowledge you need to be a confident provider. At the end of the day your goal is to take pride in the care you provide and know that the life in your hands is well protected because of the work you’ve put in throughout your healthcare journey. You’ve got this! Take the leap!

      @@Nick_Nola PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't give up and take the EASY road and become an Anesthesiologist Assistant (AA)! Yes you can skip nursing school, ICU experience, and be able to get in and out in two years and make great money. But don't ever let AA's tell you that they are the same as a CRNA (they all say this). It's a complete joke. We have a strong nursing background which includes intensive care experience with super sick patients where we have to critically think about our patients and situations. Most CRNAs have 3-5 years of full-time experience before CRNA school. On top of that CRNAs can practice in 50 states and in most states can work independently of any MD. Do the right thing and become a CRNA. Good luck!!

    I’ve been thinking about CRNA for a while now (very interested in the knowledge and care), but I have some health issues that make me concerned about the physical workload of ICU nursing for 2-4 years and then OR afterwards (patient care and long hours). I want the CRNA so badly but health-wise a NP would be less of a physical burden to reach (less intensity of hours/patient care). What is your opinion on physical health of a nurse to become a CRNA, and the workload the job requires? (Won’t go into specifics, but I get dizziness, rare fainting, and joint inflammation. I can imagine that these would make a 10 hour surgery of anesthesia care difficult.)

    • @IfeatuObasi
      @IfeatuObasi 25 дней назад

      Hi, so I’m not a CRNA but I was able to shadow a CRNA as I’m also interested in the profession. One of the things I got from her is , as a CRNA, you can pretty much work in any health setting. You don’t necessarily have to do long cases. There are cases that last less than 2 hours and even lesser. The workload in school maybe something that might be difficult to navigate but working as a CRNA, you’d be able to pick the specific field you’d want to go into

    Hii, actually i have question that has been in my mind, for example, as a crna if you pay 39% in taxes, and only get to take little more than half the money home, so do you believe that someone as a doctor, they pay way more in taxes even if they make like 300K, but they pay a lot in taxes?

      @BoltCRNA I mean, is it? Every semester, school just keeps getting more expensive. Then again, I am getting ready to go back to school and start a 9 year journey to become a vet. I am currently a cna, and I was before debating if I was gonna go into a nursing career vs. a vet career. I knew I wanted to be a vet since I was a little kid. Up until I started high school, I had a teacher crush my dreams and told me you would never become a vet and that you should choose another job. So my backup was culinary. What I wish I honestly wish I never went into. School was a blast, but working quickly became a burn. After 2 years, I wanted to go into medical, and I had to fight with my mom, who is a nurse, to give it a shot. I did a pca program and found out that I loved being an unlicensed cna. So I got my license and for a while I wasn't sure with Path I was gonna follow but either way I put plans together for both roads just in chase. If I was gonna go to nursing school, my end goal was to become a flight nurse. If I was gonna switch to animals, I would begin as a vet tech. Then work as a vetec and Immediate put myself back into school to get my vet license. Either way I would be a nurse tho lol.

      @@Chimebuka27 I’m not Bolt but as a future CRNA student I can tell you that it’s 3 years long and you won’t be able to work during the duration of the program. And depending on what program you go to the total tuition should range from $80,000 to $120,000 which isn’t bad compared to other doctoral programs like medical school and especially dental school.
