  • OK... here we go... attached is the video combo of a dance I choreographed 25 years ago back in 1995. Because "life happened" back then, I never taught it nor ever published or posted it... All I did was name it.. I only recently found the dance again while going over some old "VHS" video tapes I created back in the day... This tape was entitled "Chris' Greatest Hits!! ..... and Misses" volume #2 (1996). Yes - "Vol #2 in 1996".. remember... I am a line dance dinosaur.. I choreographed my first line dance "SLO Cadillac" back in 1984... and choreographed "Zydeco Lady" 6 years later in 1990. Yes, time Flys...
Anyway... I would like to share the dance and possibly rename it. The attached video starts out with the 2020 "me" performing it to the song I really like performing it to - Randy Hardman's - "Dance Above The Rainbows" (64MPM/256BPM). Amazingly - the dance matches the style of the music perfectly!!! The video then fades to the 1996 "me" and you will see 'me' first perform the dance to the song it was choreographed to Reba McEntire's - Everything that You Want" (37MPM/148BPM)..... and then followed by me performing the dance to the great challenging song I liked performing it to - The Cactus Brothers - "Blackberry Blossom".. no one else "at that time" could perform it that fast and at that tempo 71MPM/"284"BPM.. hence the title of the dance - "The 284 (UDC) Breakdown" (UDC - Ultimate Dancer's Challenge).
So... I hope you enjoy the dance, l would love to see a clip of someone performing the dance - "Up To Tempo" at 284 BPM. and I highly recommend performing the dance to "Dance Above The Rainbow". It is a blast to perform the dance to it, and would make it a great St. Paddy's Day Line Dance.. Enjoy...
    Happy Dancing - Chris
