2:08 this "duel" only lasted a few seconds but it's honestly one of my favorites, really shows how not just anyone can pick up a lightsaber and make it look as clean or effortless as the movies
The only thing Cad had going for him was how unexpected it was. Granted, lasting more than one strike against a master was impressive and he managed three offense strikes before obi wan knocked it out of hid hands. Bane didn't exactly impress with the lightsaber battle, but he did impress with a roundabout offense using weapons he wasn't inexperienced with.
People might claim that the Jedi antagonised Bane unnecessarily when he was willing to let them be, but I should point out that they were fulfilling their legal duty in trying to apprehend him. Aside from his little stunt involving the Senate, Bane has also murdered at least one Jedi Master (Bolla Ropal), stolen Jedi property and was complicit in the kidnapping and endangerment of Force-sensitive younglings, an act that put the very future of the entire Jedi Order in jeopardy. Even Jedi have their limits before things become really personal and I'd say that would more than qualify.
Its just business for Bane though. Everytime hes dealt with the jedi or republic its because someone paid him too. He'll take any job though, for the right price

He blew Todo up as a distraction while he was breaking into the Jedi Temple. You're still absolutely right that they were right to try and arrest him.
For people who ask how Bane can take on two Jedi masters, one, he was trained by Jango Fett in Mandolorian combat, a race of warriors who fought Jedi, two, the use of tricks/gadgets designed to counter Jedi abilities and weaponry, three, speed and accuracy with his shots, and finally four, using his environment. Just as important, he’s trying to get away, not fight, so he doesn’t need to stand his ground

@@josku5 it's less about sword fighting skills and more about force ability. In lightsaber combat, they're using the force the whole time. I'd imagine he was getting away because they had to focus their force abilities on the acrobatics but that was just a 1v1 on flat ground so really Obi Wan should have just had him there. It was only a brief moment though and force stuff seems to be left open to interpretation as to what they can and can't do

Of course canonically the force protects them from this fate because the force plays favorites, but still. Also I like how Cad has no beef with them until they threaten him. A true professional.

Obi-Wan doesn't kill people if he can avoid it. He didn't kill the guy who set bombs on the ship, he didn't kill the slaver who made his life hell (though he let Rex do it I'll admit.) Besides he even says before the fight that he intends to take Bane to prison, not kill him.
Consider how trained Jedi could react with reflexes WAY faster than any human. They could anticipate attacks so well from normal beings that they were nearly gods. Just one Jedi could fight his or her way through dozens of bad guys. Obi Wan held his own against Maul AND Oppress. And yet, they couldnt simply overpower Bane here. Cad Bane almost beat two powerful and highly skilled Jedi Masters by himself. I swear he had some strange touch of the force along with his natural talents and highly trained skills. Nothing else explains this better.

He would get right in with them and still either com out on top, or tie them in a fight. From our normal senses, it would be like trying to attack an Agent from the Matrix. Except that in this case the agents didnt need guns lol. Your average being simply isnt going to be able to do it. Cad Bane did it all day with sometimes several Jedi.
This was straight plot armor. The jedi don't even bother using the force to apprehend people fleeing.. in one of Mace windus early showings in the same show we see him stop someone running by using the force.

Cad Bane's projectile launcher is a white conical triangular shaped projectile fired from underneath the palm, I had to mute and slow it down to 0.25 speed in order to find the correct frame of the close up. It's not as strong as Boba Fett's Dur-24 Wrist Lasers, it's weaker but it should still get the job done
2:17 - 2:24 Bane had plenty of time to fatal shot Obi-won with his wrist cannon on his other hand while shockin him….but he didn’t. He spared him yo…🥶. I wonder why he did that…

Not only is it poorly choreographaphed/animated but the part that everyone loves, where Cad Bane uses a lightsaber, makes little sense after he's quickly disarmed. Wtf was Kenobi doing after disarming him? Just gonna stand there and watch the lightsaber fall off the cliff only for Cad Bane to get control of your lightsaber and taze the hell out of you?
