A street level Gotham story that has everyone _but_ Batman has been my dream for a while. An anthology story over a single night with a mix of heroes/villains/cops/goons/civilians all being influenced by Batman’s presence and occasionally acting in the shadows but Batman never shows up on screen until the last minute when he meets up with the Robins or has coffee with Gordon. The Tekkon aesthetic would have been a brilliant choice for a story like that.

I understand that some people may be wary after Batman Ninja, but they need to be a bit more opened minded because Batman Gotham Knight is damn awesome and showed how anime and Batman can work great together.

Depends which story. The one with Deadshot was pretty cool, but the others are kinda like Batman Ninja, like whoever wrote it had to be on crack. Just like the kids in Gotham Knight.

Was kinda hoping you would bring up Batman Ninja. From the interviews I've seen the producers took the Gotham Knight approach and gave Kamikaze Douga the free reign to do whatever they wanted and I think it turned out really spectacular.

They're a bit sloppy... They feel rushed to me. Lots of mispronounciations and discrepancies between the quotes on screen and his reading of them. I'd rather less frequent videos with more polish.

I’m happy you talked about how terrible the character design is in flashpoint. It’s a good movie and I enjoy it. But I’ve always had trouble looking at the characters and their massive upper bodies

Batman Shangai is a great example of what anime can do with western characters
I quite like the Batman Gotham Knight anime. All the different takes and styles of Batman is quite interesting. I have less interest in the average DC animated fare that gets mass produced every year. I wasn't even aware Studio 4°C was involved in those productions. You really can't even tell when looking at them.
i thought it would be interesting to track all their work even the cross country ones and i kinda regret watching most of them lol now

Did you know Batman had a crossover event with sin o Alice but I don’t think we will get the crossover in England and the USA.
I personally dont see emeral knights and flashpoint as animes - those movies feel a lot more like ordinary western animations in terms of visual art style with some anime inspirations sprincled here and there.
Im surprised there is no mention ob Batman Ninja in this video - that movie was definitely a DC anime with some excellent visuals but I could not stand the script
this is a video from 4c month as it says at the end of the video so im only covering 4c titles, I didnt say those were anime simply that they were animated by studio 4c an anime company
