She is an adullt and very capable of making her own decisions for herself. Why are people so judgmental? Dawn, we appreciate you. God Bless 🌹
@@stayingstrong57Encouragement is different from judgement and there a lot of judgement about her grocery hall here.
Yes you are correct I deleted my comment.
I do enjoy her videos.
Here we go again… hearing from all the people behind their keyboards, telling us how perfect they eat 👀👀.
Dawn was sharing her grocery haul. She wasn’t asking your opinion on what she should or shouldn’t have bought.
Apricot chicken sounds good,Dawn!
Thanks for sharing your haul 😊
Apricot chicken seems quite yummy! I saw a lot of healthy choices in that haul.
Thank you love
Some people look for reasons to judge other people. What you buy to feed your family is your business. The critics don't have to eat it. There's NOTHING in those grocery stores that is absolutely pristine healthy. Everything in those stores have been processed to some degree, including the produce. People with suggestions may mean well but you have to live and let live.
I can't believe you got all that for $104 Dawn !! Awesome !
Vanilla Greek yogurt and the frozen fruit are what I buy all the time at Aldi’s. I put it in smoothies or sometimes just mix it with fruit. I really love these grocery hall videos!
sounds good
yum
Thanks for the haul!! Giving up bottled/canned drinks is a great step toward money saving and better health. That was my first step too.
I love watching grocery hauls. Have A Fabulous Day Everyone ❤✌️
You too!!
Great job Dawn. Saving as much as possible is always good.
Under budget for the month also....woo hoo!
Great job staying in your budget. Praying for you all in the Dallas area. 🙏
Excellent Haul.. Great Value. Sending best wishes from Australia 🇦🇺 xx
Thanks so much! 😊
It is hard to have somebody in the family with a sweet tooth and not get involved in eating something unhealthy... I was shopping today for food and bought onions, radishes, cucumber, carrots, milk, cheese, olive oil, and bananas. We had soup and meat ready for dinner at home. Guess what? My husband stopped at Aldi and bought 3 sorts of ice cream and a big chocolate bar...Should I laugh or cry? I am craving for sweets when I know there is something "good" and not "good for us" ...
Sounds like you balance each other out!
enjoyed watching your grocery haul, amazing prices, for some f the items it would be double in my local supermarket, savvy shopper, you do a great job, stay safe with the storms and bad weather, thanks for sharing.
I wish I had an Aldis near me.
White Castles here in MN - yes! For an occasional treat because of course they are not 'healthy'. I have 2 Aldi stores within 10 miles where I live. It took me a while to warm up to them but now I am. Most prices are below the big chains. With the cost of food still high, we have to shop strategically to stay within budget.
Curious how you make your yogurt? Can you do a video maybe?
I put it on my community tab
hello , thank you so much for sharing🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰..........................
Thanks for visiting
Great job staying under budget! I've done an awful job with our budget this month. We're in Memphis. My sister-in-law was in the hospital, is in rehab now, and will come to her home on Thursday. We are in the process of clearing out her house to sell it, and she'll move in with us in Florida. Prayers, please, that I stay attuned to her needs during this stressful time. I'm task-oriented and may not be as patient as I should. I loved seeing your haul and would like the apricot chicken recipe. Love to all, Linda 💕
Thank you dear
I love the fresh pizza ($4.75) and salads ($2.99)...two meals. The salads at Aldi are great! Milk is $1.57 half gallon. Organic marinara is $1.99 and is great...will pick up fresh pkg of ravioli, too.
Aldi is my favorite store. I get the bulk of my groceries there, and if they don’t carry a certain item, I’ll go to Walmart for that. I also hit the sales at Winn Dixie for meat…they have the best sales ever.
I love Aldi's as well. Just went today..lol 🤗
That's good to know about Winn Dixie.
@@dianepereira1860 I went today too. :)
@@3TXSisters I actually got Rib Eye steak for $5.99 a pound (no lie) and a rack of baby back ribs for $7.77. I don’t know how they can do that, but they do. Aldi bought the Winn Dixie chain last year, I just hope they keep the sales of their meat department going on (their sales are even cheaper than Aldi meats) because that’s one of the ways I can afford steak.
@@dianepereira1860Glad we have Aldi, especially in infationary times.
Aldi is where we spend most of our non-meat food budget. Markdowns at a local chain are where we usually get meat. Get a grip people; everyone has different tastes and wants for their menus. I also like to use plain yogurt and flavor it myself. I have to watch processed sugar in my diet because it really adversely affects my arthritis but appreciate that is not a concern for all. I am interested in trying the crock pot yogurt. Thank you for sharing.
First time I've watched a haul in its entirety in a long time. I was curious as to what you bought and how you worked it into your meal preps.
Great ideas! I try not to buy water etc at the store..hard to do!!! But necessary! Hope you have a great day!
Thank you! You too!
I saw those White Castle sliders in my Aldi this week, Dawn. I didn't get them, but let me know how you heated them up and would you buy them again. I did buy double cinnamon French toast sticks on a friends recommendation, and they are delicious. They were in the frozen food section. Thanks for sharing you purchase. Have a Blessed day.
I love to make Apricot Chicken! I usually just use the Lipton onion soup and Apricot jam. I haven’t tried it with the French dressing.
Fun haul Dawn! Thank you for sharing! ❤️
I have not bought any soda pop since Mother's Day. I only got it because I was raised drinking plenty of it. For Mother's day my husband and younger children took me to visit my parents. We took them a
So glad you got to visit your parents on Mother's Day! Hope you're well. ❤
@3TXSisters We actually went the Saturday. Friday had been Mexican Mother's day, it is always on the 10th of May. I didn't want to run into some of my siblings. For Easter three of us were there with part of our families. It was overwhelming for my mom.
@@crybebebunny You're very thoughtful!
Hopefully, you will film the yogurt making and apricot chicken. I've been watching a few videos on DIY yogurt but not yet feeling confident I can do it. Also, looked into the ones made with alternative (not) milks. Dawn, Thank you for sharing.
video coming up
You did well 😊
That’s good for $104.
I'm willing to spend more on groceries to keep a healthy weight. There isn't much here that I would personally eat.
ok?
Agree, homemade yogurt is the best. If the crockpot is too hot, most are, the yogurt won't come out good.
Unplug the crackpot once the mixture is the correct temperature. Place it in an empty cooler, and cram towels inside for extra insulation.
It's a modern version of a hay box cooker. Best way to make yogurt AND uses less energy.
I enjoy seeing your grocery hauls, Dawn. I buy most of our groceries at the Navy commissary, but 2 or 3 times a month will pick up a few items at Aldi's. Their cereals are very good.
Great job staying under budget! I love that chicken recipe, it is delicious 😊
I’ve been meaning to buy frozen fruit for making smoothies!
You did well for this haul. Our Aldi's in Australia aren't as cheap as the US and Europeans ones.
Love homemade yogurt! Thanks for sharing your haul. It way too heavy on processed and sugared foods for my family. It might be interesting to check how much fiber you are getting. I know vegetables, fruits, whole grains, beans can take more prep but fiber is so key to health , feeling full and not gaining weight.
Loved watching the haul! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
I love your videos and this one in particular. Do you ever do a written list of what you buy that can be printed?
Not yet!
I like what im doing on grocery budget, but i did buy some things that i havent used yet, but that was last check so i haven't had it to long. Its canned salmon, it was cheaper that the regular 5 dollars so i picked up 2
Sometimes you’re better off shopping sales at other stores and not everything at Aldi. Aldi has such great produce so I’m surprised I didn’t see more of it in your haul. The last thing is why not prep and freeze meals to save money when you don’t have time? It’s cheaper and healthier than the quick things you bought.
So true!
If you strain your homemade yogurt, you get Greek yogurt. I let a portion strain even longer and mix it with fruit puree for an awesome spread for toast. It's a weekend treat.
The whey is awesome in soups. You supposedly can add an acid like vinegar or lemon juice to whey and make ricotta but I've never had much luck with it. To me, it's better as a soup base.
If it grown on a plant eat it. If it’s made in a plant don’t eat it.
Hi Dawn. Great haul. I make the drinks from the powdered packets also. Way cheaper than soda and better for us.
Yes they are!
Money Mom: Have you tried making your own yogurt? That is interesting. BTW, I did not see the link for the recipe in the video description. Maybe a yogurt making video on a cooking day?
Yes, I make it in my Crockpot
Great video dawn
I'm so glad you are starting to go under budget. May I suggest something? Take the difference from your budget, the amount yiu are under by, each month, and use THAT for non food items, take the funds from your non food items each month and allocate it towards savings
Great idea!!
Good evening.
Ive done ok, but it's easy to go over the budget.
Your apricot chicken sounds good. Have you made it before?
Please share how your family reacted to it .
I got out of going to Aldi, but i would consider going again.
I mainly shop at salvage grocery stores.
Yes, I have made it before
I want to try yogurt!
For this month it was $ 155.00 total for 72 items.
That seems really good for so many items!
🙋♀️ ❤️.
Gosh that half and half!
You have so much variety in the States, no half and half here.
I know I could mix it myself- but it’s not the same.
Good afternoon we bought a soda stream, yes the bottles and initial investment is pricey but the basic kit comes with a couple of bottles.. do not buy the co2 from them, hubby buys a rental-paint ball co2 cylinder and gets it filled for about 40 dollars every 5 months and we just make fizzy water. You can buy adapters to fit on the soda stream machine to take a long hose and attach under the sink for the co2 canister. If anyone is interested I will get hubby to explain how he did this, There are three of us drinking at least 3 to 4 bottles of water a day. great savings. We take a bottle in the car is going on a trip. or just shopping.
The cost is 40 dollars Cdn so maybe 25 usa for good wholesome water.
We do this as well! Canadian here too!
SMART LADY
WE ARE NEAR TORONTO,ON FARM
Great haul!
Thank you! 😊
Do y’all have HEB yet? They have White Castle in the freezer section.

To much junk food.
Not sure when yiu will understand tgat trying to save is killing you .....please run to a nutritionist. No healthy items in this haul
First!
I was second!
Saving money is good but shop for healthy food! Those Oreo cookies have high fructose corn syrup! Lot of your choices are unhealthy.
Wait… I thought you were working on being healthier ? 😬 how’s your walking challenge going Dawn ? And even if maybe your husband is in a “healthy” weight… all those processed foods are a health hazard waiting in the wings to happen. Heart disease, type 2 diabetes, stroke, cancer. Not to mention weakening our immune system. 😔
REALLY?? No Kidding!!
