Waaaay too narrow a slip for that boat. I applaud about midway through when the wind grabbed his bow and he just let the vessel swing downwind and start over. Most would fight it to “save” the approach, but a good skipper finds no fault with a do-over!
i went throught the same crap last sunday, except shouty father, shouty passengers, and shouty people watching from the boardwalk.. people need to learn to stay quiet and let the captain focus!!! 😂 not to mention the fact that the boat had no bow or stern thrusters 😂
@@ItsLanceBoyer yes. An experienced Capt should be able to dock a boat with a single engine and a hull. Two engines make it easy and a bow thruster is just an extra luxury.
@Andreas K. you don't have to be a trans atlantic sailor to know basic skills... Any experienced Capt should know how to handle these conditions. I'm not alone here.
What would you people do without bow thrusters?. His first attempt was definitely asking for trouble where the bow is so light compared to the rest of the boat. At least though he took his time and didn’t do any damage. I cringe sometimes watching people bringing in hugely expensive boats and they can’t drive them.
Med mooring is a pain! Often an accident waiting to happen. That guy did as good job considering. He’s lucky that his thrusters didn’t overheat and shut down. Man, lines everywhere of the bows. What a zoo.
He was trying the right things, it was just an impossible situation. No one, no matter how experienced, should have tried to dock in that situation. A little wisdom would have been better. If I were the captain, I would have said "sorry, friends, we are not going to dock today" and I would have left and dropped anchor in some nearby cove or some such until the weather became better.
@@xs10z i would not agree, i have my boat in the same dock like these sunseeker, just 10 boats left hand side, same situation 2 month before i come in with broken BowThruster neeeded to handle it more less only with the engines. it was possible. but i had a second try after i found out the bowthruster is not working. and what you wanna do, if you come back to the marina, under these condition. what you one do ? leave your boat on the sea...
Very difficult conditions and finally well done. It's always good to stop a maneuver and start again, when things are going wrong.
By any standard, well done captain. Bravo!,

Yep, do not let your ego dictate.
Such a tight space, you pretty much need to grease your boat to get it in there.
Ridiculously narrow berth. It would have been difficult in calm waters. Well done that skipper.
Average Med berth
@@altergreenhorn If it is, I haven’t seen one.
Standard Med. Berth
In engineering terms it’s called an ‘interference fit’. Good skills...
No one realizes how awesome this comment is...I guess most don't get it 🤔
amazing how powerful the ocean is!
I wouldn't say it was the ocean but the wind is.
@@elcajondavid1 it’s a combination of both
I think it is ridiculous that these marinas provide such tight amounts of space for these yachts to dock between.
strong wind + shouty wife + no stern thruster = bloody stressful

You shouldn't need a stern thruster in something like this. That's why you have 2 engines...
blewyd very true! I’ve never driven a boat with bow or stern thrusters... a hull and an engine is all u need. Dual engines if u lucky ;)

Good job docking, looked under control to me
Después de un primer intento, sin problemas, buen video amigo 😍😍😍!!!
Great 🎥 video. Keep em coming those docking yachts are my favorite.
Thanks!
Tight fit, did his crew streak vasaline along the run rails to get her in? I think that slip was a virgin.
Most people couldn’t put a canoe in there job well done
Can someone identify the jet skis the boat was carrying

Good job captain
Beautiful boat
Good job !
Wow great job.
Better him than me. Very difficult.

wow. great job.
Which model Predator is that? What loa?
You must use your wind as your friend
Put more fenders out, damn!
Parece imposible que atraquen en tan poco espacio!!!
Pues si, muy justo!
Por eso esos son los buenos capitanes yo estoy estudiando para eso
Considering the conditions, the captain himself can't do it properly. Team work, and assistance is required.
Mucho viento para poder atracar bien!
No se como son capaces de meter un barco grande en ese hueco, parecen sardinas en lata !!!
Gracias!
I guess, the panicking girl as he was about to hit the bowline on port didn‘t help him to stay calm...
Se comio las amarras del vecino jajaja
Buen video amigo, superlike!!!!
Gracias!
He would have done better to set still, and have the pier brought to him! GOOD FOR A LAUGH
There helps only practise, practise and practise...

Cheap a$$ marina providing ridiculously narrow berths for million dollar yachts 🤨. Nonsense...
bow should be into the wind
I know this marina this guy did well you can find way worse
more fenders...jeez
Very sad 😥
Boss
No thanks
