The Predator 74 is exactly what most of us would like to own simply awesome yacht as all sunseekers appear to be, as a person interested at some time in a owning a Sunseeker Yacht but has never owned let alone driven any Yacht - these videos are a absolute gold mine and Sunseeker come over ae really keen to take the nerves and hesitation away from a new owner driving a yacht like this, very good videos 1 hour long ~ and best thing is there British Company and built in England
I used to be a Sunseeker Tech in California. Got to drive almost every model from Hawk, XS2000 up to Predators and Manhattans. Went to factory in Poole for training. I loved every minute working with and on Sunseekers. Except servicing broken retractable top trollies 😖. Thank You Sunseeker for a wonderful experience.
Really great video and great to see the performance of the boat, as well as use of the joystick control. To hear Chris tell us of the services and training offered is really good to hear.
I saw a large Sunseeker pop into Yarmouth on the IOW and manoeuvre into a seemingly very tight berth with absolutely no hesitation or fuss....I was mightily impressed! Yarmouth can be a tricky place with a lack of space and often awkward tides and winds....plus it can get busy and congested....
I am a true fan of Sunseeker yachts and to be honest the more videos I watch the more I want this 74 xps. I am looking for a performance yacht that will come close as possible to 40 knotts as possible. I would have given this video a perfect 10 but I was waiting for full throttle performance numbers. I want luxury with the performance and it looks like we are there. Hopefully placing my order soon.
Stabilisers are a lot cheaper than gyro’s and obviously more basic technology. Some yachts (larger planing hulls) have both equipped. I remember one of the Palmer Johnson 150ft had stabilisers and 3 huge gyros... wife must’ve got sea sick all the time.
was watching a follow the boat video the other day, they went on a powered boat rather than their sailing boat, they asked about sea-keepers, why didn't the captain turn it on, his answer was because they need sea water to keep cool, and they were only going a short journey, with them taking a few hours to spool up to full speed and the same to spool down, it wasn't worth it, i guess going off that the stabilizers are near instant

Thank you!
Great presentation, thank you!
Thank you very much!
Can you reach the joystick control from just outside the helm door? Great vid.
Hello Frank - yes you can! Thank you :)
What's the advantage of stabilizers over Seakeeper. They do have drag as you said.
Stabilisers are a lot cheaper than gyro’s and obviously more basic technology. Some yachts (larger planing hulls) have both equipped. I remember one of the Palmer Johnson 150ft had stabilisers and 3 huge gyros... wife must’ve got sea sick all the time.

Well, the recommended weight of a gyroscopic stabilizer is about 3-5% of the boats total displacement, so there's that...
What an incredible boat but, 300 litres an hour. Ouch. Love sunseeker. By far the best boat manufacturer.

How long will it take at cruising speed to travel from Poole to St Helier Jersey?
Hello Lee, if you are cruising at around 20 Knots it will take around 5 hours. Have a lovely day.
