The second story reminded me of my own experience the Everglades about ten years ago. I was fresh out of high school on a service trip. It was the 4th of July and my group was having a rest day before getting out to work towards SCUBA diving certification again. While kayaking around the Everglades, we were wary of the many alligators in the water around us. Our tour guide had said something about most animal "attacks" being human provoked; in a narrow passage of mangroves, I was trying to turn when I saw a writhing splash where I had put my paddle seconds before. I ended up beaching on a rock close to the turn, relatively easy to get off of and continue the tour; my first concern was for the gator I might have hit rather than my own safety. It certainly makes for a memorable story, or two considering I was eaten alive by all of the mosquitoes that day, the day I vowed never to complain about Northern USA mosquitoes ever again.
For story 3 it makes sense to kill a mountain Lion that brutally attacked people but at the same time it’s fucked up because at the end of the day that mountain Lion is a animal and was acting on its instincts. Instead of killing the animal I think it would’ve been better to tranquilize it and then relocate it somewhere where no people have a chance at getting without using a helicopter or something, still that probably would’ve been fucked up but it’s still better than killing a animal just for acting on its instincts
I live in a rural area of Arkansas, out in the woods down in a ravine not far from cow pastures. About two months ago, while I'm driving up the ravine, I see the back end of an animal - cat-like hind legs, thin, light brown fur and a long tail that curved upward as it hopped up an incline into the adjacent cow pasture. So now I get to live with the knowledge that I have a cougar that's comfortable wandering less than half a mile from my home. Yay.

The dude in Florida probably got the fear of god put into him by a manatee, a lazy sea cow that wouldn’t hurt you. Also big enough to move a boat if it’s not paying attention, which they hardly ever pay attention. I’m not saying that’s for sure, but with his first part being so anticlimactic I can’t help but think that’s what it was.
To be fair manatees have extremely poor eyesight
My boyfriend used to call me his little manatee, as a pet name, not sure of that was a compliment.
@@dontcallmeEmmy Exactly. The sleepy thing probably was half asleep and hit the boat not knowing it did, they’re like that dopey character that’s used for slapstick in cartoons. “Oh, sorry. Didn’t see you there.”
Thank you 🖤🙌🏾
I'm sure I'll fall asleep before sundown tonight.
Well holy crap! National Parks are a hell of a place. I'd still like to see 1 some time
That 3rd story was hard to listen to the person is speaking as if they are talking about a group of people

Bear spray, spray at ground level and it wafts up to the snout of the bear...AND a handgun that you know how to use!
You are my relaxing, sleep remedy! x
The ever glades near East Texas looks like Nature’s toilet.
Oh god... terrifying national park stories have become even more terrifying drag queen story time stories!....
I totally remember seeing the video of the first story. That amazing and horrifying
Great stories. 🤘
Love the Everglades, grew up in Immokalee. Thx
Looked up the cougar one. It’s very true and so so so so sad.
Lol I'm in Utah and the first story he filmed himself trying to pet the cougar mom, he promoted it and the video is still online for a good laugh.
I saw a mountain lion last year ! I was in my work truck i couldn't believe my eyes !!!!
Yay.
I live an hour from a major national park, this puts me in the mood to travel there tomorrow lol
How has Let's Read not hit 1 million subs yet?

Is story 1 the same as the viral video of the guy getting walked down by a cougar, because it played out word for word
Right? I was thinking the same thing
